On both occasions, the food was perfectly prepared, the wine was excellent, and the service attentive, helpful,and prompt. It is not inexpensive to be sure, but the prices are certainly in line with other Houston premium steakhouses. The steak came with about 3 bites of meat and we very nicely showed the waitress who quickly took care of it and we got his steak for free. The next steak was perfect even though it took awhile to get while I sat with mine. They were very nice though and accomodating and our waitress was wonderful. It was a great evening overall and food was wonderful. I do not live in Houston but Flemings had a high rating on Yelp etc. This was a fantastic steak. I had the filet and pretty much everyone in our party had some kind of steak and everyone was happy. Quick, fun, great service. They do try to sell you a little hard on the next thing like dessert and/or appetizers or another bottle of wine a little too fast before you are done. That kind of thing. It is near home and work so I enjoy both happy hours and meals in the dining room. Whether I feel like a quick appetizer and drinks with coworkers or a memorable meal with friends and family, Flemings-Town & Country is my restaurant of choice. Devin Reese is by far the best server of any restaurant in the area and possibly Houston. I always ask for him by name when making reservations. I've even been know to adjust my dinner plans around his availability. However, when that's not possible, all of the staff has always been fantastic at creating a wonderful dining experience. The experience was great, beginning with a "Happy Birthday" greeting for my wife at the door. Every waiter and attendant also wished her a happy birthday. The steaks were superb, the rest of the food very high quality, and the wine list is very good. Service was good, seating a little too cramped but not annoyingly so.
