  • "Our waiter was Andre. He could not be more attentive. Every little detail was addressed and with a smile and sense of humor. He treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant and the only people that mattered. Our food was wonderful and brought to us in a very timely manner. The manager on the floor Lesli was also very professional and addressed us by name. So classy !!!! We ate on the second floor so how hen we were almost finished , she took our valet ticket and our car was ready when we went downstairs. Overall an excellent restaurant and subvert service. Kudos to Andre and Lesli."

I always get the petite fillet mignon however my friend got the lobster Mac & cheese, if they have this you MUST get it, its delicious! Oh and the chocolate lava cake for dessert!"

  • "My wife and I went to Fleming's for their restaurant week menu. While my wife did the restaurant week menu, I went with the Prime Rib prix-fixe that was offered that evening. 1) The appetizers/first courses were so-so. The French Onion Soup was fantastic, but the salad that came with the other prix-fixe menu was just awful. 2) My Prime Rib was okay, nothing to write home about. My wife's Filet (Restaurant Week Menu) was just embarrassing. It looked like it was once a Filet that was then halved. Not really a "great" looking meal by any means. In fact my wife needed my au jus from my Prime Rib to even eat it. We'll probably go back to Capital Grille for Restaurant Week next year, much better value and quality. 3) Desserts were great"

  • "My wife and I dined @ Fleming's Saturday evening 3/22. I had been there before, but only for bar food, etc. We ordered the bone-in ribeye for 2 and it was outstanding. Donny, our waiter, recommended it and he was right. We did order it medium rare plus; next time I might just go for medium rare, as parts were actually medium. Delicious meat and the side of macaroni with lobster was great and more than filling."

  • "I went to Flemings with my son as we wanted a classic place to sit, enjoy a great meal, and talk. At first, the hostess tried to shunt us into an unexpectedly large back room where there was quite a bit of noise and a convention-like environment. Fortunately I had spotted a table up front, near the street, requested it, and that is where we were seated. Great menu... delicious steak... fine wine... quite environment (once we got out of the back convention room)... everything we had hoped for. This will be one of my Chicago favorites."

Having eaten at Flemings restaurants from coast to coast, the food is of the highest quality, the service is unmatched and the value is unheard of.   • "We ate here on a Monday in March; restaurant was not busy. I got the filet and she got the salmon. The salmon was very good. The filet, ordered Medium +, arrived Medium Rare. Given that the price of the steaks here are more expensive than great steak houses like Capital Grille, I was extremely disappointed. Given the low volume of diners in the restaurant the Chef had no excuse for this mistake. The lobster macaroni and cheese is not worth it -- the dish is very bland as compared to (again) Capital Grille and others. The wine list is adequate, yet a bit boring. I have been various Flemings and the only location that I would dine at again is in Scottsdale, AZ. Manager was excellent at compensating for the poor steak though."

  • "Flemings has been a favorite place for steak. In the past, we went to the Lincolnshire location as it was nearer our home. Now we live in the city and decided to try the downtown location, but worried that it might not live up to our past experiences. We were wrong! The Chicago location was wonderful. We decided to try their steak and lobster special and were not disappointed. The lobster was tender and sweet and the filet was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed their wedge salad--wow what a great, fresh and bountiful salad. The starter we chose was the scallop..again perfection..tender, grilled just right. The service was also done so well.This will be our new favorite place for steak. We've eaten at most of them but keep coming here."

  • "I had the Sunday prime rib special, and it was pretty good. The meat was a little overcooked (despite our asking for medium and medium rare), and for some reason, mine was flatter/thinner than those of the other 2 people I dined with, but aside from that, it was great. Overall, it's a good deal since it comes with a salad/soup, side dish (which is pretty sizable) and dessert. The Fleming's potatoes were the best of the 3 (the other 2 side dishes we had were the creamed corn and mac and cheese). The ceasar salad and the Fleming's salad are both great."

  • "We've only been to Fleming's a few times, but have found the food to be just excellent. The night we were here, it was neither jammed nor overly loud. We sat relatively close to a window, and enjoyed the ambiance of the upper floor. Our server (Angel) could not have been better. He made dinner more enjoyable than it even would have been otherwise. Their new iPad app to review their wine list was very cool, though I found myself reading the descriptions and reviews, rather than talking to my wife (don't do that). Many of the wines are not priced for the faint of heart, though certainly some are more reasonable than others. I suppose the same as most restaurants in downtown Chicago. Generally a nice selection."

  • "Being a chain Flemings had ne'er fiappointed till this visit. Food was ok, not spectacular. I believe there sure sixty lemmings. I've eaten at sixteen this one twice. My wife had gluten dairy allergy and they were very accommodating but my daughter tries yo eat organic grass fed beef a more natural situation since cows were not designed to eat corn. No bison I wouldn't hope that a corporate based chain would understand that you can have healthier slater natives that still taste great, not dismiss people that ask girl a natural alternative to an aterficial perception that corn fed beef and antibiotics are great for us cause they are not"

It was just as expensive as the great high end Chicago steak houses and the food was just that "good" and the feel of the place is like Applebee's.   • "Our waiter Scott was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I had my first dry aged steak, and it was ok. Probably not my favorite, but definitely glad I had a chance to try it. My g/f had the ribeye, and they cooked it to perfection. We also had the sautéed mushrooms, and flemming a potatoes..both amazing."

  • "The atmosphere was nice, but our food came out wrong (three of the four of us ordered steak and none of us got the temperature that we requested). Our waiter also said he would bring us things (bread, water) and did not follow through. For the prices you'd pay on a normal day (two of us did the Restaurant Week menu and the other two ordered off the regular menu), I'd take my money elsewhere like Morton's or Gibson's."
