Every visit is unique since I can't wait to hear what awesome combination the chef has come up with for his specials. I've gotten a special every time and been blown away. I've also sampled other items from the menu and they are always fantastic too. If there was one shortcoming it would have to be the creamed spinach, which was more cream than spinach and a little runny. But with a perfect steak on my plate who cared at that point! The atmosphere is very romantic, the service always above average. We've tried a variety of menu items over the years, but their filet (6, 8 or 11oz), can't be beat. Have it with a side of Fleming's potatoes - yumm!! Or for a lighter option, order the sliced fliet 'small plate' served over the most heavenly mushroom risotto I've ever eaten. Be sure to save room for dessert - the chocolate torte is a must! We were at Fleming's this past weekend for our anniversary and at the end of the night we were presented with a card and a box of chocolate truffles as an anniversary "gift" - what a nice and unexpected touch! Since we were celebrating our anniversary we hoped for a table out of the way. Instead we had a very noisy table right by the kitchen. I'd suggest asking ahead of time for one of the tables around the outside of the dining space instead of the few that are situated right in the middle of the restaurant. Considering everything else was great, seems silly to complain. This week we decided to go to Fleming's. What a joy. Every single aspect of the dinner was spot on. From the house bread to the Caesar salad, the sweet chili calamari, to the bone-in rib-eye and cheesecake, and OHHHH the macaroni and cheese side dish, everything was fantastic. Our server, I believe his name was Jason, was phenomenal. Right now Fleming's is our favorite steakhouse in Charlotte with Del Friscos an extremely close #2. Would have given the food 5 stars but had to send the extra thick pork chop back because it needed to cook a little more. Good thing was when it came back it was still tender and juicy,flavorful, and sizzling and cooked the way it was ordered! My Prime ribeye was cooked to perfection and whoever cooked it should have been slapped for making a steak so good! The waiter paired the wine with our meal and staff members were there when he wasn't. Great service and teamwork. Immediately we were taken care of by our server Jesse. He was knowledgeable and helpful but not pushy about trying to up-sell us on anything. Wine presentation was flawless and our server kept each course coming right on que. The food was amazing and honestly, the first properly prepared steak I have had in NC and top five restaurant experiences I have had in my 10 years in the state. Due to my job, I am on the road around 120 days a years and Flemmings is a location I will make a point to return to. We had the mac and cheese, blue cheese potatoes and Flemings potatoes and all were excellent. On top of the great food, the service exceeded my expectations. The server was attentive without being overbearing.

We specifically choose it for a special celebration and were not disappointed! The service was probably the best I've had and the food was fantastic.
