Fleming's Steakhouse - Beverly HillsWe visited on a Tuesday nightWe visited on a Tuesday night at 7:30 with a reservation, we were seated immediately and greeted by our server. We ordered petite filets, Flemings potatoes and onion rings. The steaks were cooked perfectly but were served alone on a large plate, could have been presented a bit better. The potatoes were rich and delicious, the onion rings are the big, fat kind and the serving was so large we took a few home. The food was good (I think the steaks are better at Ruths Chris) and the atmosphere and service were nice but it didn't seem in any way unique or special for a romantic night out at the price. I had been to a Flemings before when traveling on the east coast, but it was immemorable. This Flemings in Beverly Hills is solid. Great service and really good well executed food. Two minor complaints which is why the food wasn't "excellent" in our opinion - tomato/burrata salad needed a smidge of salt and the burrata was "different" (not to our liking) consistency than any homemade burrata we've had and the crab cakes were too salty. The pork chop was AMAZING - just perfect. Service was friendly and attentive -- outstanding. We had a rib eye steak and the double pork chops. Both were really delicious. The side dishes -- Fleming's salad and potatoes -- were very good but nothing special. The restaurant is attractive and comfortable. We were a party of 4 and enjoyed the petit filet, NY strip and ribeye and each were prepared correctly and were properly seasoned. Some of the sides, however, were a little pricey for what they were. Of course, I was tempted anyway, but opted for the $60 bottle of wine. After that, we enjoyed a top-notch dining experience. They had me at Calamari, which was about the best I've EVER had. Filet Mignon was superb. The little plate of lamb chops ordered at medium-rare was good, but maybe a little bit under cooked, kind of just seared. Still really great restaurant and I highly recommend it. Very good food with gracious and friendly service from the bus boy to our terrific server Jodie all the way to Tai, the Operating Partner. These folks want you to have a great time and a great meal and they work to make sure that happens. It is a really nice place that is comfortable without being so full of itself as so many hot restaurants are these days. We will be back often. Thanks, PF. Only open for 2 months now, this sophisticated steakhouse has all of the bells and whistles and a staff that is there to please. We were called by name often, offered advise on what to order and guided through the menu. Service was swift but relaxing and every steak arrived cooked to perfection. One truly feels like royalty here. The onion soup was amazing, the shrimp on the shrimp cocktail huge and salads are ample. side easily serve 2 - 3 people, with the Fleming potatoes delicious. the carrot cake is one of the best I have sampled at any restaurant. Reservations @7 and they honored them instantly. Lovely booth setting and waiters are knowledgable about all the drinks. They even have a list on iPad if you want . Food was good and the mets actually came on first try how we asked. The fish dish was outstanding and one of the best saucesmmynhusband has he images..
