Diner Reviews
  • "In town from New York for a short get away. The restaurant was highly recommended by locals. The setting and the mood were perfect and my server Brooke was extremely attentive and articulate. She was a pleasant person. Unfortunately, the food did not measure up to my expectations. The portions were extremely small and the taste did not match up to steak houses that I have ate prior to my Fleming experience. Joe the manager was a gentleman and attempted to accommodate, however, the second steak still didn't suffice. As a restaurant owner, I appreciate feedback and I hope this constructive criticism helps. The steak was so salty and took away from enjoyment and burned my pallet. Thank you for your time"

  • "We went to Fleming's for my fiancee's birthday and the staff definitely helped us celebrate it the right way! While on the pricey side, the food was good, portions are reasonable, and staff was very attentive. They have a fairly diverse and well organized wine list that you can search through tablet menus they provide each table, which was helpful. The staff even gave us a free dessert (the turtle cake is delicious) and a little something else to help go towards the cost of a future visit as a birthday gift. We look forward to returning!"

  • "The occasion of happy hour was a relaxing experience over light fare."

  • "Food and service were a cut above the rest....makes you feel like a true VIP..manager came over and introduced himself and inquired about our meal...best wedge salad in town...puts the wedge and Sullivan's to shame. steak was moist and flavorful without the trio of sauces but I would recommend the king crab and caviar in parsley butter accompainement...the carrot cake is a must...moist fresh..homemade and the rum caramel drizzle. ..phenomenal"

  • "I have to say, I'm not usually one for "chain" restaurants, but someone gave us a gift cert as a thank you, so we decided to check out Flemmings. We were both pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, bar and overall experience. The service was outstanding - thank you Donny! Ordered the NY strip which was pretty good. I hate to say they overcooked both of ours just a tad, but other than that, the sides were delicious(creamed corn, mashed potatoes really good) & their special F17 sauce is wonderful. It is hard not to compare to every other steak joint in Baltimore (of which there are many), but they did a pretty good job. The molten lava cake is one of the better I've had around town. Give it a shot. Also - great wine list."

  • "It's tasteless and sliced paper thin. I don't even think they seasoned it. Just found the smallest piece of fish they could and sliced it as thin as it could hold. I have had stellar, excellent Ahi Tuna that was a million times better than Flemmings at a dive bar for half the cost. Everything on the menu is overpriced. Everything!! On the flip side, the beet salad was quite delicious. However, if I am going to drop $35 on one meal, I would like to be full and satisfied. I was not."

  • "The food here is of high quality, the wait staff is well trained and is outstanding down to the bus help! Fleming's is our restaurant of choice whenever celebrating a special occasion."

  • "Food was so-so, service fine but not exemplary. For the prices, more should be expected and delivered."

  • "I LIKE Flemings, I really do..happy hour specials are great, there is valet parking.. On any given night, however, you will find a lot of out of towners from nearby hotels. This isn't a bad thing, but as a local, you really feel the "Chain" aspect of Flemings. On our recent visit, we had a later reservation. We arrived just a few minutes early, but had to wait for our table. The bar area seats were mostly taken, so we felt a little squished and awkward waiting for our table. Once seated, service was professional. Our food, again, felt very "chain". Nothing was awful, but not outstanding either. Sides are expensive, the creamed spinach-my husband's request, was so not worth it. Still, if you are in the area, go to Flemings-try the Happy Hour"

  • "The place has a nice atmosphere, the waiter was very nice. The wine list is quite good and diverse. But unfortunately the food was not what I had expected. The salad with housemade Burrata was ok, the Burrata didn't look or taste like one, more like some cottage cheese, but it tasted ok. They had gotten my order wrong, but corrected it quite quickly. Also the salad contained onions, which was not mentioned in the menu. The steak was simply overcooked, I had ordered medium, it came well done. The taste of the meat was fine, but for a specific prime steak restaurant and for 45 $ for a Fillet Mignon, this is not acceptable. So I wouldn't recommend this place for it's steak."

  • "I went to Flemings for my Birthday and I really enjoyed it. So I had to go again and enjoyed myself just as much as the first time."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Overall a nice experience but a little overpriced, a little disapointed in my steak, had the bone in rib-eye which was recomended by our server and it had a lot of fat in it, should have went for the filet."

  • "Fleming's was a disappointment. For the price, there are many other options that offer far superior food, service and ambience. We had a late (8:45) reservation and were seated at 9. It took a while for our server to appear and longer for the wine to come, "there was a back up at the bar". The steak and salad were good but the shrimp were small and overcooked. We will not go back."

  • "This is the first time I've ever actually had service from waitstaff...even was walked to the restroom by the maître d'. Have never had such an attentive and thoughtful waiter, making this the first time anyone ever earned 20% on the bill. But in addition to that the food was fantastic: their sourdough rolls come out fresh with seasoned butters, while you await fantastic flavor and texture combinations from the kitchen. That being said, this place is VERY pricey, far more expensive than the food quality because you are paying for everything: the iPad wine list, the excellent service, the upscale ambiance. Nonetheless, worth it if you have a special occasion to celebrate."

  • "I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Flemings. It was classy but not stuffing. The waitress was very attentive and gave very good suggestions from the menu. I ordered the ribeye which was overcooked (I like it medium rare). But the flavor of the beef was excellent. The manager was greeting other guest and inquiring about their meals. Once he reached my table I explain to him the steak was overcooked but I enjoyed every last bite!! I didn't request any favors or accomodations but the manager took the steak off my tab and gave me a complementary desert. That's great service and a classy move. Fleming's Steakhouse definitely has a return customer."

  • "We have been to Flemings a number of times in the past and this visit, by far was one of our best. Our appetizers were delicious, our steaks cooked to perfection and our dessert extraordinary. The timing of our meal was wonderfully executed and our server was delightful. We will definitely return."

  • "Fleming's service, ambiance, and food are all exceptional. The only weak link is the mixology recipes. We ordered two very different cocktail choices which normally are not at all sweet, but both arrived very sweet--at over $13 each we expect better. We had even inquired if one unusual drink was sweet and were assured that it was not. Other than that issue, we were pleased. Next time we will order wine from the extensive wine list."

  • "We had received an AmEx gift card for Flemings and decided to use it. We had been to Flemings once before and enjoyed it so we knew what to expect. Our waiter was very good. The tablet to help chose the wine was pretty cool, though we ultimately chose the bottle the waiter suggested and were not disappointed. My steak was a bit under cooked, and my husband's was a bit over cooked compared to what we asked for...maybe he reversed our preferences? No worries, was still delicious."

  • "There's nothing like great food or customer service. So getting both at the same time is heaven on earth. The food, service, and atmosphere make for phenomenal night out at a reasonable price. I also like the computerized wine recommendation menu. If you want to try something different and you're not sure which wine will go with your dish, the menu will recommend a pairing. My pairing went perfect with my dish."

  • "I went to Fleming's Steakhouse for the 1st time with my boyfriend and I must say I was totally impressed with the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. We both enjoyed our time there and the food was exceptional. My only problem was that the waitress was a little slow and not as attentive as I would expect of a restaurant that is a little pricy. However, we are still willing to come back because the food and ambience was what we loved the most. I would recommend this restaurant to others"

  • "I have been to several Fleming locations and decided to try the Baltimore location I was seated quickly and service was prompt and not rushed. I order the Pocini Filet medium. The filet was to come with asparagus spears and I also ordered a baked potato. The meal arrived and there were 2 scrawny spears of asparagus on the plate both very tough. The steak was rare and potato warm not hot I pointed this out to the server and he quick took the steak to get it more done. He also took the potato. All were returned by the manager with an apology. The steak was better as was the potato. The steak was removed from my bill. I fully understand that these things happen. In this case the errors were taken care of quickly. I will give them another try"

  • "The food was excellent per usual. I have never had a less than stellar meal at Fleming's. Service was attentive, despite the restaurant being bet busy."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "The food was wonderful, but the dining area is pretty loud. There's a back room that's cut off from the main dining area that is much quieter. I recommend requesting that somewhat private area if you want to have conversation with your table!"

  • "Service was impeccable...extreme attention to detail....steaks prepared flawlessly"

  • "It was my first time here, and when I first walked in, I was appalled at the noise level in the main dining room. So loud, I couldn't have been comfortable there. Nothing upscale or intimate about needing to shout to be heard. Fortunately, by luck, we were seating in the quiet section at the back. Should I ever return, it's the only place I'd be willingly seated. It's definitely "expense account pricing" - when the small plates are $20-22 (for 3 lamb chops or a single short rib), you're passed the zone of reasonableness. The calamari, lamb and short rib were terrific, though. And the lava cake ($12.50) was superb. Very good food, very high prices, and the atmosphere is only acceptable (to me) if I'm in the quiet zone."

  • "the wedge salad was great but I believe the waitress was too busy with another large table so our entrees took too long to arrive & were overcooked. have been there before and this was a disappointment"

  • "I was referred to Fleming's by a co-worker whom stated the food was great. I enjoyed everything about the restaurant but the food. I was very satisfied with my wine and the selections that were offered. My steak was burnt and my lobster was fishy. I also ordered a dessert that was not available? I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend. I was very dissatisfied with my meal."

  • "We went for restaurant week so it was very crowded. We sat at the bar and waited for our table, which is what we like to do so we didn't mind that our table was not ready at the reserved time. Our servers were excellent and very accommodating. We had the New York strip and the filet and both we cooked the way we liked and just melted in your mouth. I loved the flavored butters that they served with the bread. We shared a dessert and walked out fully satisfied."

  • "Went for our anniversary and it happened to be Restaurant Week- what a deal! The food was impeccable (petite filet, prime rib, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach). I loved the butter spreads for the bread also! Best Caesar salad we've had. The manager came to our table and wished us a Happy Anniversary and we even got our picture taken as a souvenir ;) Very busy night, but great work, Fleming's!"
