The Lobster bisque tasted like butternut squash soup and the Eggs Benedict had only a hint of sauce which made the under toasted english muffins very plain and too bready. The eggs were cooked perfectly as was the filet. The best item for everyone at the table was dessert. This was my first trip to Flemings and I was avoiding the place since my impression was they were a steak place with large portions. Yes, they do have steaks but the small plate section of the menu is varied and well done. My wife had scallops which were done perfectly but my short ribs came out a little dry. The steaks were excellent and perfectly cooked (either rare or medium rare). Been to other Fleming's and we have been less than impressed but this was an outstanding meal. Generally prefer dry aged steaks but their wet aged steaks were very good.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food, REALLY expensiveThree wows! First wow is too the "glass is never half-empty" service, second wow is to the outstanding food (steaks flawlessly cooked to order), and the third wow is to the ticket at the end of the night! OpenTable needs to raise the price to 4 $$$$, getting out of there for $50 each is nearly impossible, as the smallest steak with no sides is $45 + tax + tip. If you want an enjoyable evening expect $100 each after everything.

They did try to accommodate us by putting us in a smaller room. They were two in our party of 6 who have hearing loss, or wear hearing aids. They had very hard time hearing conversation. This is the downside of most Austin restaurants.

We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and decided to have a drink at the bar while waiting for the others in out party to arrive. The bartender was pleasant and helpful. Once our party arrived we were seated and introduced to our server Shane. He was hands down the best server we have ever had. From the appetizers, to the entree suggestions, he was spot on and everything was there before having to ask. The filet cooked perfectly and the wine was an excellent compliment to our meal. The chocolate dessert was also very tasty. Our visit was worth every penny and we will surely be back for the next time we are looking for 5 star service!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFriday night favoriteAlways great experiences at the Domain Fleming's. The Scallops small plate was outstanding and paired it with the sliced filet on risotto for a modern surf and turf experience. Over the past three experiences the food has always come out at just the right temperature. We often sit at the bar as it is both a vibrant experience and gives us the best access to try new wine tastes to select just the right wine with the food. We both had the surf and turf special and it was wonderful. The server went out of her way to make us feel special. Even received a gift of chocolates before we left, which was a nice touch!
