Fleet Street KitchenWorth the stopWe had a great experience at the restaurant while visiting Baltimore. There was nothing on the menu we thought we would not like to try. Our server helped us make excellent choices and pair wine.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe provenance of iceWhile I generally don't care which Maryland county the baby zucchini came from, the different rocks served in different drinks fascinated me. The crushed ice in mine was so clear and cold - it chilled my drink perfectly, but didn't really melt so my drink wasn't diluted. How did they do that? It signifies a level of attention to detail that was impressive. My entree(roast chicken - my acid test for any new restaurant) was delicious, although a companion said that the soft shelled crab was overly breaded. The carrot not quite cheesecake was a strange concoction of textures and flavors, perhaps a step too far in the novelty direction. Service was just right, attentive but never intrusive. And we could actually converse without screaming.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMnew positive experiencedelicious food expertly prepared with local ingredients. Halibut perfectly cooked-moist and delicious.Service warm pleasant and knowledgeble.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous mealFirst, I was impressed that our special request for seating was honored. Second, and more important, the meal was fabulous! I had the arctic char (out of this world). The portion were appropriately small, the wine was wonderful, service was spectacular, and I have a new favorite restaurant. Thank you!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMReally Good but Not StellarGreat venue, swanky decor/lighting. Had high expectations. We were sat in a cramped table. I asked to move & hostess acted perturbed. We did move & open 2 tops never filled. Our server was cordial but had no recommendations: "everything was great". I need more lead at a new restaurant. Spring Onion Soup was phenomenal as was the Egg Yolk Ravioli - yet at $13, I wanted more than 2. Entrees craftily prepared. Lamb was gorgeous & perfectly cooked though mild. F.S. Kitchen's commitment to sustainable farming suggested that the veal was tenderly cared for: so I ordered it. Tender, almost, but all I could taste was salt; I missed subtle flavors. Expensive, clean, good looking: still a bit young. We had a great time overall and will return.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMVery accommodatingI had a wonderful first experience here. I had very little time before I had to make a movie while eating solo, and they made sure I was finished with time to spare. Also, when a friend unexpectedly showed up, they let me move to the bar to eat with them without any issues. The food, wine, and service were all exemplary.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMwas "wowed"The location on the outside is deceiving... doesn't look like much but on the inside it is such a delightful gem! The decor is fantastic. Rustic glam I would call it. The service was outstanding. Bar was nice to hit up before dinner. Dining room was very grand yet intimate/cozy/romantic. Food was really delicious. We had beet salad and lobster to start with and pork and halibut for dinner. All were outstanding. Very pleased and will certainly go again!!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat nightTook my wife to FSK for her birthday and had an awesome time. Food and drinks were excellent. The home made bread was great and the seasonal entrees were perfect. Stopped by Ten Ten next door for an after dinner drink.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FindMy husband and I dined at FSK after reading some great Trip Advisor reviews! We started with cocktails in copper mugs- rum and house made ginger beer; delicious and visually interesting. To start we had the scallop app- cooked perfectly and crispy pork belly- sauce was amazing. For dinner we had the aged ribeye and the veal. Again we were impressed. This is a great restaurant for foodies- dishes are delicious and not over thought. The freshness of each dish shines even through the excellent sauces.
We would definitely return and look forward to trying desert and coffe next time!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWow again! Our second visit to Fleet Street and once again they exceeded all expectations. Bravo!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely ExperienceFood (brunch) was wonderful; decor delightful; service was personable and friendly; however, we could have used another glass of wine with our meal (sat with empty glasses in front of us for a bit longer than acceptable). Other than that, which we consider a minor point, it was a pleasure. Can't wait to go back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI'll be back...Went to dinner on Mother's Day. Food was great, ambience was as well. Our server could've been slightly more attentive. We have a one year old and they only have two high chairs so be mindful when planning a family visit.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day experienceMy husband planned a Mother's Day getaway to Baltimore with our 2 year old. Based on ratings we chose Fleet Street Kitchen for their Mother's day brunch. Food was FANTASTIC, our server Raquel was kind, patience, thoughtful and friendly. Our only unpleasant experience was when we first arrived and I asked the hostess for a highchair, she gave me a snide look and said that she didn't think one would be available, because "we don't get many kids here", when she returned and said no chair was available, I was very put off and we were going to leave, BUT our server came to the rescue and found us a highchair. We were able to relax and enjoy the wonderful food and my son loved their sausage!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile a very good restaurant,While a very good restaurant, I thought it was a tad expensive for what it delivered.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and ServiceIncredibly wonderful food with a great combination of flavors and different ways of presentation. Everyone of the wait staff was polite, helpful, professional, and there when you needed them without being obtrusive.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood = Great Service...not so muchPea soup and baby lettuce salads were outstanding. As were the veal loin and rockfish entrees. Dessert was also masterful. We were disappointed in the Soter pinot noir, but that's on us. Service - VERY spotty. Generally couldn't get attention on a timely basis throughout the meal. Also disappointing to be crammed into a close banquette table set up when there were options in the back of the restaurant that weren't offered. Discovered this upon a trip to the ladies room after being seated.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional food and serviceWe chose Fleet Street Kitchen for our anniversary dinner. When one of the restaurant staff called to confirm our reservation, she asked whether we were celebrating an occasion, and I told her that we were celebrating our anniversary. Imagine our surprise to find a handwritten card on the table when we arrived. Every staff person who greeted us knew it was our anniversary and made sure to acknowledge it. We were also treated to complimentary sparkling wine. All of this before we even ordered.
The experience continued to impress. The service was impeccable, with staff quietly watching from all angles and making sure that diners had full water glasses and cleared tables at all times. The food was divine and well worth the price.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFriday Night @ Fleet Street KitchenValet Parking in the pouring rain was definitely a positive start to out Fleet Street Kitchen encounter. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. The ambience was nice, casual but elegant. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, although portions were a bit on the small side. The only true negative I found was cost...the pricing was roughly 20% higher than comparable restaurants in the area. Overall it was an enjoyable meal and I would be sure to go again as long as I have worked it into my monthly budget.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBlown awayOne of the best dining experiences ever! The service was spot on, the food great. One of the best restaurants in Baltimore.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA new favorite!Great food, great service and great atmosphere. A little on the pricey side.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Staff and FoodWe had a fabulous night at Fleet Street Kitchen- we enjoyed some amazing cocktails/appetizers at the bar. The bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and they recommended some tasty drinks and food. We had dinner in the front dining area and it was also delicious- the service was great and we will definitely be going back again this summer.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodThis was our second time at Fleet Street. It was the second day of the spring menu. The beet salad was outstanding in both appearance and taste. The Brussels sprout salad was excellent as well. there were 3 of us and we each had a different fish, halibut, red snapper and black grouper. Each preparation was different and still very delicious. Dessert is for chocolate lovers and we all were very happy with the chocolate choices. the server was new and although very solicitous, needed more training in the menu. The new spring cocktails were good but i missed the bourbon killer cocktail and it could not be recreated.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAn exceptional mealHad an early dinner at the Fleet Street Kitchen while in town for a meeting. There were few others in the restaurant. The food was excellent. Maybe the best meal I had while in Baltimore. I would definetly return.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful secretary's (administratiwonderful secretary's (administrative asst) day great dinner great food the seasonal toast appetizer is always terrific everyone should try the shaved brussel sprout salad it's nothing like what you think brussel sprouts are going to be4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie ParadiseThe staff is gracious, professional and knowledgeable. The food is pretty, darn wonderful. Highly recommend indulging in the short-rib. Make it your once-a-year (or more often!)meat extravaganza because it is perfection. Others had recommended the Chicken Liver Parfait. It is everything that was promised. Totally rich, buttery, nutty and delicious. I think the name of the dish is a confusing misnomer. It is served on a platter, not in a parfait glass. The green pea spring soup is delicious. Don't miss it. I was with a party of six and no one was disappointed. The celeraic side dish should receive a prize. The wine list is excellent. Baltimore is very lucky to have this new option for dining. It is a foodie paradise.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely evening, terrific food.Lovely evening, terrific food. I'd go back (again and again)4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWhy doesn't a reservationWhy doesn't a reservation at this restaurant qualify for open table points? If you are able to book a reservation on the site it should qualify for points.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMReally was very nice serviceReally was very nice
service and food were good ++
A "value"...wish it was quieter!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI booked this restaurant forI booked this restaurant for my husband's birthday not knowing much about it (we are very new to Baltimore). We are foodies and locavores and were absolutely wowed! The food was delicious and the service impeccable. This will be our new place of choice for special occasions.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AM$5 valet. Friendly hostess$5 valet. Friendly hostess seated us promptly. Service was excellent. Appetizers- Lobster delicious, as was the Pork Belly.
Dinner- Short Ribs were great, however, Sea Bass was a little on the soupy side. It seems all bottles of wine are decanted at the table- nice touch.
We will definitely return.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food well presented,Great food well presented, great ambience, attentive service, ecectic energetic crowd4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great little place. What a great little place. The food was amazing, brussels sprout salad and including the desserts! Service was impeccable, the waiter knew the wine list and the menu extensively.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and wines preparedExcellent food and wines prepared with thought. Many of the dishes were "not what I expected", but in a good way. Very enjoyable experience4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFleet Street Kitchen is aFleet Street Kitchen is a welcome addition to the Baltimore restaurant scene. The food is imaginative, creative and delicious. The service was impeccable. We will definitely return.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMReally good food - especiallyReally good food - especially liked the kale & the scallop appetizer. Like the look of the restaurant but pretty slow pace of service.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMHighlight of Baltimore for me!This meal was the highlight of a recent business meeting to Baltimore. Great cocktails (they substituted my gin of choice for vodka in the Veronica and it was amazing), interesting wine list and a friendly sommelier. I could have eaten everything on the menu. I was there with 3 colleagues and we tasted each others' dishes - all were really good. Chicken liver parfait was rich and delicious; butternut toast was comforting in a sexy way, the vegetable sides were fantastic. I had the beef short ribs and hated that the others got to taste it - less for me! We ordered 3 desserts to share and they were fantastic. I would go here again in a heartbeat - highly recommended!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visitThis was our second visit to Fleet Street Kitchen and again it was wonderful!!!
The food, the service, the ambiance and attentive service from Phillip the sommelier made
this a perfect experience!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMTHE Place to eat in Baltimore! As always, Fleet Street Kitchen has delivered. It is a fantastic venue, with an unbelievable wine list, and first-rate food. This is definitely a Michelin-star contender.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Visit, Great ExperienceThis was my first time at Fleet Street and i will definitely be back. The restaurant is very attentive to detail and service. The beverages are creative and delicious. We had the tuna tartare appetizer that we order frequently when dining out. This version was one of the best we have tried. The two of us each had a fish entree. I had the sea bass and my friend had the snapper. Each was excellent and clearly was prepared as an individual dish with different sides. We purchased an additional side of kale and that was wonderful as well. Desserts are creative and there is lots of chocolate. For us this was a great find and we have not stopped talking about the excellent meal for several days.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. SmallFood was excellent. Small portions typical of a goumet type restaurant. Service was slow as they just had had a large party. Manager apologized and provided an extra appetizer for us.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMExceeded our expectations.Exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic and we loved the space. They also have a great bar that we plan on coming back to visit!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWent as a group of 4 withWent as a group of 4 with a Saturday night 8:30pm reservation and were taken back to our table right away. The service was very good, and the food was delicious! We were stuffed with just appetizers and the main meal, along with the yummy bread they served. Overall it was fantastic and we would be happy to go again!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFleet Street in MarchThe food was amazing and the wine list unmatched. The service was lacking. Our waiter was super polite and very friendly however as soon as the restaurant started to get a little busy he was no where to be found. Also, the side dish that we ordered was brought to the table until we were almost finished with our meal. The deserts were incredible and the chef came by the table and apologized for the error and thanked us for dinning there. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will give them a try a little later once they have worked out the system.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food, fantastic cocktails,Amazing food, fantastic cocktails, great wine list. Awesome place for a special occasion or for treating your palate to a wonderful experience...
It does come with its price, however.
I recommend happy hour cocktails!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional ExperienceTwo couples had a terrific dinner experience. Wife and I had roast leg of lamb, prepared to her taste (rare) and mine (med rare), served as medalions, which actually looked and tasted as if from a tenderloin. Every plate that arrived was a special work of art and flavors were to match..a heritage beet salad, a tuna tartare. Service superb and FREE VALET PARKING..important in the Harbor East Neighborhood.
Wine list was a little pricey. It was provided on a digital tablet in a leather frame. Although this was a touch of the modern, I found it awkward to use, although I am digi-literate. I finally gave it to the waiter and asked for a particular wine to be found. Personally, I like to browse through a wine list, better on paper.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food and great service.Wonderful food and great service. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a fantastic time celebrating a friend's birthday.3/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOur second trip. Third oneOur second trip. Third one already reserved. Great food. Beautiful space service great until dessert and coffee. Then a little uneven3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the atmosphere and ourLoved the atmosphere and our service was attentive and didn't rush us.
The appetizer was good and we enjoyed our side of kale, the chocolate tart dessert was delicious! Our entrees were good, but small portions were and over priced, $28 for roasted chicken!
We will not return because we can eat at many places in the area with equally good food and lower prices.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a delicious dinnerWe had a delicious dinner at Fleet Street kitchen. Had been before for drinks and appetizers and wanted to come back for more. The food was beautiful and perfectly composed. Fit for foodies but not big portions fyi. Snapper was one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Everyone at our table wanted to eat more of my fish. The men were left wanting more at the end of the meal, especially after they got the check... It's not a ton of food for your buck but I thought it was perfectly yummy and left satisfied.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPLEASE PRINT THE WINE LIST!There are so many things to like about this place. Dishes are Foodie Fare; exotic preparations, unusual ingredient combinations, small portions, and expensive. Each dish is elegantly presented. Two salads, 2 entres, 1 side dish to try/share, 2 desserts, and a not-too-expensive bottle of wine;$156 before tip. To be fair, everything was delicious. The one annoyance (and pretension)was that the wine list was presented on a tablet, and required scrolling between choices. This could discourage older, less tech savy diners. Or is that the point?3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
