Fleet Street Kitchen, featuring locally sourced modern American cuisine, is a growing influence on the evolving culinary scene in downtown Baltimore, combining exceptional food, drinks, and service.

Situated between historic Little Italy and the new Harbor East neighborhoods, Fleet Street Kitchen captures the energy of the surrounding communities and creates a dining destination with its style and atmosphere.

The menu is an ever changing collection of seasonally inspired selections with a strong emphasis on locally sourced, ethically raised, sustainable ingredients. Many of these - including produce, eggs, pork, lamb, and beef - are grown nearby on Cunningham Farms, which is owned by the restaurant.

Accompanying and enhancing the kitchen's offerings is an extensive and diverse offering of artisanal wines, beers and specialty cocktails, along with distinctive coffees and teas.

Overall, the price/value relationship was not what it should be; one appetizer of two and both desserts ordered were outstanding. Steak and pork were very good, two fish entrees, both about $30 each, had modest servings of fish, nicely prepared, but not exceptional, with a few veggies. Nice wine list, good cocktails. Would have been a fair value at $300 for four people, but the $400 price tag left us feeling overcharged."

The Bagby Group did an amazing job with this restaurant's beautiful design. The waitstaff are consummate professionals, showing both polish and a deep understanding of the menu. The offerings are the perfect combination of refined and adventurous, bordering on the playful. I enjoyed the Chef's 4 course menu, which was quite reasonably priced. The execution of every dish was excellent. This is clearly a restaurant with ambition, focus, and talent. I'ts the rare joy when you find an establishment with all three! When you finish reading this review, book the reservation. Then, book another. You'll be glad you did."

It was my husband's birthday as I noted in the open table reservation. He was greeted with a birthday card and a complementary dessert without prompting or confirming anything further. It was a delightful evening."

The bread is incredibly good, and the trio of ice creams a wonderful ending to a great dinner. A unique, intimate, out of the way spot, and so great to be in a restaurant where you can converse and hear each other easily."

  • "This is a pleasant find just off of inner harbor. Billed as 'farm to table', but nicer than what that usually means. For instance, they have a great wine list (600+ bottles on the iPad list), proper table linens, careful plating and good service. Many times 'farm to table' means 'rustic' (Mason jars for water glasses, wait staff wearing plaid flannel shirts, etc.) to emphasize the 'farm' bit... There is also a very nice and sizable bar in the front that has an additional menu of lighter fare. 4 out of 4 of us enjoyed our meal. Standout side dish is the brussels sprouts... even our Belgian guest was impressed! I would absolutely return when in Baltimore"

There was nothing remarkable about our meal. Both entrees were rather bland and just mediocre. Disappointing dining experience given the high price of each entree. Also, the time for items to come out to the table was quite lengthy and the restaurant was pretty much empty. We went for a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and we won't be going back. "

  • "This was my 2nd time eating at FSK and I certainly liked it. Each person at the table got the 4-course meal. In the future I think I will only get two items, 4 courses is just a lot. YUMMY...but a lot. The lamb was delicious as were the scallops. Brussel sprouts were another popular item. My husband enjoyed the fish and my mom liked the chicken. Although we enjoyed the meal at Fleet Street we were disappointed to hear that they didn't have any specials? Not one item on the menu that I couldn't see online ahead of time? That surprised me. The waiter also seemed caught off guard when we asked for a wine recommendation. Nice place for a special meal and we will certainly go back. "

Wonderful, fresh food, great wine (Tuesday is 1/2 off bottles) and romantic table for two upstairs. My husband enjoyed the beet salad and pork and I had the salad greens and fish. It was a great farm to table dining experience. Would highly recommend making a reservation if you are in town. Expensive, but worth it!"

Our only regret was that with a larger party, we were unable to check out the tasting menu - perhaps next time. This was our third time at FSK and each time has been a remarkable experience. I always leave feeling well fed, extremely pampered, and very well taken care of. The Parking Valets, the Hosts & Hostesses, Bartenders, and all of the Wait Staff are very warm and welcoming. We are looking forward to another visit in the near future! "

  • "We went to Fleet Street Kitchen for my wife's birthday (having only been once before when it first opened) and had a wonderful time. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great for small groups or special occasions. Just mentioning that it was my wife's birthday on Open Table led to a nice card welcoming us on the table and a nice little dessert with a candle for my wife. These touches made her night wonderful. I would also put in a plug for any wine lovers as their wine selection is excellent, and while the iPad wine list is novel and fun, the wines on the list are great. Would highly recommend. "

The wine list here does not get enough credit; deep and well thought out, it contains many great values and quite a few inexpensive bottles for those on a budget. The kitchen is firing on all cylinders these days: the food is creative, unique, and well prepared. I was incredibly impressed, as were my guests. Bravo. "

  • "This was our first time here and we love it. The food was spectacular, the service was great. Love the gorgeous bar. Our meals includes many items from the regular menu. My favorite was the poached egg with mushrooms... which may sound weird but it was yummy. Duo of lamb was lovely and the chicken with hen-of-the-woods mushrooms was gorgeous. I can't wait to go back!"

  • "Gracious hostess, good ambience & menu design. Reality was a huge disappointment. we ordered the seven course "spontaneous" tasting (2 regular, 1 vegetarian). First: nothing spontaneous-- each dish on the normal menu. Which made it very odd that no one was able to describe what was served. Our head server, pleasant if not engaging, & two back waiters all seemed stumped, blurting out one or two ingredients. Technically, service was correct but slow. The first 5 courses were exceedingly slow. I could excuse this if the Chef was creating special dishes, but not for 1/2 orders. Food was ambitious in description, but nothing cohesive on the plate. Overrated, overpriced. Better chef needed and FOH needs serious menu knowledge."

  • "The food was very unique...have never had anything like it before! We had multiple courses (the 7 course chef's tastings), and EVERY ONE of them was delicious. The presentation of the food was elegant, the servers were very knowledgeable about the menu/ingredients used in each dish (along with being very attentive and friendly), and nice decor in the restaurant itself. Our party knew the executive chef (Chris), who made the experience a great one for us. Could not have asked for a better place to eat, and this will be a place we visit again! Thanks FSK!"

  • "I'll start by saying I love the chic rustic decor of the restaurant. The idea is to bring the feel of the owner's farm to this urban setting, and I think it works. The food is very good. I could quible that they try to put too many components on a plate, but everything was well executed and tasty. The cocktails are great and inventive, and the wine list is extensive and provides nice variety (though I think they need more wines from local Maryland and Virginia). Service was knowledable and intentive, but occasionally pushy. Stand out dishes in March 2014: ricotta ravioli, duck, celery root linguine, chocolate caramel dessert. I will definitely go back next time I am in Baltimore."
