FSK had lost a bit of its luster of late, and people started to notice. Tables were empty; a 'value' menu appeared; other restaurants took the business. All that will change once the foodie patrol catches on to the new chef installed at FSK. the menu is totally different and exciting. The appetizers are unique and the entrees give a fresh twist on everything, without overreaching. The entire staff perform with pride, knowing the place has something special. Worth a first visit if you have never been, and worth a second look if you have.

We had a 3 course meal the first course of butternut squash soup was delicious. I had the pumpkin agnolotti that was amazing- and unique. The main course mushroom " stew " was amazing but oo Rich for me to eat more than half. I would have preferred this as a side. The seared rockfish was very good too, would be nice to have a few more greens with that. Bread from the bistro next door was wonderful with a crunchy crust. Dessert was a semi frozen pumkin mousse with ginger crumb crust, my husband and I wanted to lick the plates , and he usually never has more that a bite or two of a dessert We were there early, saw a play after, so service for most of the meal was excellent. As we neared the end the place was crowded and I felt we were forgotten, our tea and coffee was not as hot as I would have liked by the time we flagged down someone, I think our waiter forgot it. That said they did appologize. I would def. go back even though I felt the wine list was VERY pricey. Everything was $75/ bottle and up

My husband and I really enjoy FSK and had an excellent experience during our first visit. This visit wasn't as enjoyable as our first time, and I think it was in large part due to where we were seated - in the bar area. Our first visit we were nestled back in the cozy dining area - our server was incredibly attentive, food was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. This time around, our server was nice but brought the wrong dessert and actually forgot to bring our wine until after dessert was almost over. In addition, I ordered the sorbet with fresh baked cookies and the dessert came without the cookies. I asked for them, and he looked at me like I was crazy. We will dine there again, just hoping for a better experience next time!

We have dined here once before and had enjoyed our meal on that occasion. However, on our return visit, we were very disappointing with a number of things. For one, the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. After requesting the check, it took the waiter 15 minutes to bring it over when we were only one of three tables left. Second, my main entree was over salted to the extreme. It was on the verge of unpalatable. I do not think we will return for a third try. I suggest going to Woodberry or Waterfront Kitchen if you are looking for a better dining experience at this price level.

Celebrating a friends birthday we chose Fleet Street and had a wonderful experience. Two couples and we shared a few bottles of wine from their large wine list and enjoyed appetizers like their eggplant parm version which was delicious, a fresh Kale Salad was perfect and pumpkin agnolotti. We had rockfish and halibut with delicious sauces and accompaniments and share a new pastrami short rib dish made w/ fresh huckleberry sauce. Save room for dessert; you can't go wrong with any of the housemade specialties. Service was excellent. We can't wait to return.. first class all the way.

This restaurant was about 75$ pp/ If the food were amazing it would totally be worth it!!! HOWEVER, most of our food was not hot, barely warm and quite frustrating. We felt as if they were more concerned about the presentation then getting hot food to the table. For this reason we will not go back. I had an appetizer which was $16 which consisted of 4 bites of a "risotto" which wasn't warm ??????

First time. Ambiance - rustic chick elegance. Food - the best we've had in downtown so far (and yes we've tasted Cindy Wolf's restaurants too). Reminded us of NY or Philly's level of dining. Hey for Bagsby restaurant group which pools Baltimore's dining scene to the modern appropriate level of taste. So far we've visited 3 of their restaurants (Cunningham's, Ten Ten and FSK) and were impressed with all of them. Service was outstanding. Thank you Michael for being so nice and professional. Value is very adequate to the level of enjoyment. We are looking forward to many more visits and recommend this place to all who considers themselves "foodies".

I went this past weekend based on reviewing the online menu. Unfortunately it wasn't up to date so they didn't have the one vegetarian entree reflected online. Instead we ended up doing the vegetarian six course meal which was incredible. Each course came out at the right time and the chef even came out to talk thru what we were eating. It was a great experience however just note, what's online won't necessarily correspond with what the actually are offering.

Special occasion, not so special. Place is way too expensive for what you get. Sort of creative but in an odd way ( glazed carrots with Halibut? ) Anyone can make glazed carrots. The 8 dollar brussel sprouts were terrible. Way too hard with no flavor. They'd have been better roasted. Two of us spit the amuse bouche in our napkins. Very disappointed in that this used to one of our favorites. The place was empty too. Might be telling you something.

The food was delicious and tasty. Our server was attentive, but extremely pushy. He kept trying to up sell our group and would make unnecessary remarks (I.e. my two friends ordered an appetizer and he said it was too small to share for two people. He insisted my friends order two, for the two of them. They did not. It arrived and it was not too small. We were all confused). We started to feel uncomfortable - too aggressive.

Outstanding food and service made a truly wonderful experience last Thursday night. It was very, very noisy even though there were only about twelve patrons in a space that could probably hold 50. Could not help thinking, the large open space and flat, unadorned walls, and open kitchen are significant contributors to the noise level.

Also did the wine pairing with the dinner and it definitely enhanced the overall experience. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion since it is a little pricey.

Celebrating our 25th Anniversary, upon arrival, the hostess and waiter wished us a happy 25th and treated us to a complimentary glass of sparkling rose. For starters, we shared the brussels sprouts, seared pork belly and pumpkin soup, all of which were wonderful (pork belly was our favorite). Our entrees were Chestnut Stuffed Chicken Roulade and Seared Tilefish. Once again, both were not only delicious but presented beautifully. We finished off our evening splitting the Frozen Pumpkin Mousse - wow! I almost forgot - the breads, sour dough and multi-grain, are made fresh daily and were to die for. Many thanks to the staff at Fleet Street Kitchen for making our silver anniversary a memorable one! We will definitely be back!

We dined on a Saturday evening. Service was very slow and the poor timing put a damper on the evening. There was just not a lot of staff around. We had to flag down a manager for water and bread. At that point, you think the waiter would pay closer attention but my water glass went empty again without ever being refilled. Maybe they were short staffed for the evening. Whatever the reason, you expect better service for the prices charged.

We went here on a living social coupon. They took the regular menu away from us and gave us the 'special' limited menu - not a good sign since the coupon wasn't a huge savings. Apps and entrees were very good, wine flight and desserts were average. It could be comfortably casual-elegant but instead it has a stuffy vibe from trying too hard.

We arrived a few minutes early and were asked to wait in the bar until our table was ready. We ordered a bottle of wine from an extensive list but wine only came about 15 minutes after we ordered and were ready to go to the table. Everyone was friendly, it just seemed disorganized. Once we were seated, our server took forever to show up to welcome us and then took a long time to return to take our orders. The food came out fairly quickly. We ordered 8 first and vegetable courses to share including scallops, pork belly, eggplant, and linguine. The food was OK but certainly not worth the price. Tomatoes were supposed to be in the linguine but there was only one cherry tomato in the dish. Dessert unspectacular too. We don't plan to return

A friend from Atlanta was visiting this weekend. We are both foodies so I was pleased to give him an eating tour of our fine city. Fleet was our Saturday night selection and delivered beyond expectations again. Brussel Sprouts are simply amazing and the Halibut entree was superb. I am not sure how Chef does that to carrots but I want to eat them every day. Thankfully, you are close by. Service is always a pleasure to experience. The menu is the star at Fleet Street Kitchen. Pork belly with maple glaze, chestnut-stuffed chicken with brussel sprouts, hand-cut fettuccine with garlic cream... all of it. Delicious. Cocktails were just as pleasant. Our server, on the other hand, paid us little mind and forgot my coffee (a must for me with dessert). Regardless of service, though, I'd come back for the food any time.

Fleet Street Kitchen tries to be Woodberry, but doesn't quite get there. It is really loud because of the open kitchen--looks like fine dining; feels like you are eating in the kitchen. The salad was great, the eggplant was overcooked and dry, and the bread was cold. The best part of the meal was actually the miniature butternut squash filled cream puffs.

We found a KEEPER. The staff, the service and the food were top drawer. The service in particular was among the best we have received in our travels. We loved the dining room so elegant but not off putting. The food, however, was the star. We could not fault anything in our selections. One of the things we liked the best was every plate gave the name of the place the selection came from, truly farm to table. Love it. I had tile fish from my home area, it was the best ever. We all liked the hand cut linguine with a roasted mushroom cream sauce, we were practically licking the plate. The other thing we liked was the attention to detail, free rosé upon sitting along with an amuse bouche, just so nice. All in all, we loved it.

My husband and I had a fabulous time here. We went out on our "monthly" date night and enjoyed every minute of it. It was a nice surprise considering the month before we had gone to a more pricier steak house at the National Harbor and it was absolutely horrible. This experience was worth every penny and I am glad they took the time to make us feel special. We got the Chef's Tasting and enjoyed a very fabulous 7 course meal. The dishes served to us were all a surprise, which made the experience even more fun. If you are looking to go out for a nice intimate date night with good food and service, I highly recommend the Fleet Street Kitchen.

Booked through open table and even received confirmation call from restaurant day before asking if for special occasion which it was. Arrived at restaurant and young inexperienced hostesses attempted to seat us in casual pub style lower level (same price but zero ambiance) despite fact that upstairs was completely empty. Was ready to walk out when happened to speak to new manager who was FANTASTIC. He seated us at great table upstairs, gave us complimentary champagne for our trouble, and stopped by several times during evening to check on us. Food though was ok but not great: fois gras raw in middle, pork belly essentially cold slab of fat, charcuterie fatty cuts and either too bland or peppery, rib eye good. Wouldn't go back.

I was so looking forward to trying FSK, and was terribly let down :( Bad from the start, the bartender was extremely snobby when I asked a simple question. The waitress had zero personality and would be gone for long stretches at a time even though the place was empty. When we ordered dinner we were told SORRY- we're out of the two things you wanted (pork belly and short ribs, small plates)! Any items not available should be mentioned when you're seated! The other appetizer I ordered (oxtail and carrot soup) never even arrived at the table!! My companion and I split the 30$ "roasted pork" entree since they were out of what we wanted, and it was so boring, tasteless, and overpriced. We left hungry, and actually ate pizza when we got home.

So my two friends and I picked this as a place we would love to try out since it opened up, but due to crazy schedules we finally made it. So well worth the wait! Our server, Mikaele (sp?) was FANTASTIC. Hands down one of the best server's I have had in a long time. He gave great feedback to our questions regarding the menu and wine selections were were contemplating. The food was unbelievable. I started with the seared foie gras which had great flavor and texture and the pairing it with the caramelized onion was a nice blend. We all had fish dishes, my one friend and I both had the rockfish, my other friend had the tilefish. Both dishes were unique in flavors and presentation. Both though were huge hits at the table. Can't wait to go back!

We had a late dinner here and were one of very few diners in the restaurant. As such, service was very attentive and our food came out very quickly. The food was great. We'll be back again.
