  • "Wonderful evening in a pleasant contemporary setting. The eggpland appitizer, lamb shank entre and pistachio ice cream were excellent. Very fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our meal with a nice shiraz from Australia. Excellent, attentive service by the staff and owner. We've overlooked Flavor for years and thought it was a coffee shop... What a mistake. We'll be back."

  • "People should flock to this place. I definitely prefer it to Rumi's. The food is super fresh and the service is on point. Unbelievable bread. The shish kabob was really tender-I ate too much. May parents loved the salmon and dolme. Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely--not a foot wrong, and I rarely say this. I can't recommend it enough!"

  • "Having eaten here many times, we were very disappointed in the quality of the entrees. Appetizers were fine. Entree meat came out room temp at best, altho rice was steaming hot. Made me think the meat had been cooked way before and was just sitting. Also, it disintigrated into ground mush when eaten with very strange texture."

  • "The grilled lamb is the best in town in our opinion. Tons of wonderful seasoned meat. The Flavor salad is huge like all their portions and fresh. Entrees used to come with grilled vegetables but now just rice and a roasted tomato. I'd rather have the vegetables and no rice."

  • "I went here for lunch once and wanted to come back for dinner. Was still pleasantly surprised! You won't leave hungry that is for sure and if you love grilled meats that are tasty and tender and unique rices, this is your place. They have several Kabob dishes with several cuts of meat and spices. We started with an eggplant appetizer simliar to a dip and a yogurt dip served with fresh herbs and homemade pitas. The mains were a lamb shank and also their special filet kabob. Each dish had different rice accompanied with it. The desserts were also amazing, had the Chocolate bomb."

  • "I went to Flavor for my wedding anniversary dinner. I enjoyed the ambience and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I had a big salad, the lamb kabob (extremely tender) and humus for an appetizer. I would definitely return to try more dishes."

  • "Rave reviews 4 the food! Loved the interesting combo of spices in the stuffed vine leaves & the additional plate of fresh mint, basil, olives, et al that came. Hubby's shishkabob (prime rib meat) was ENORMOUS but cooked to perfection. The rice pilaf was loaded with lovely herbs. My salad was 10x larger than expected but had a lovely combo of juicy strawberries, soft goat's cheese, toasted pistachios, & pomegranate dressing on side. Dessert was the only slight disappointment-- the 2 choices that were more indicative of Persia were not available, however since this was only a few days after a major ice storm disrupted all aspects of life, we can't fault them for that. Chose a roulade with blackberries--still v. good but cake was rubbery ."

  • "Since Flavor remodeled and upgraded their menu, there has been a tremendous improvement. The food is excellent and presented beautifully. We had a friendly and attentive server. My friend remembered the old Flavor dinners with poor service and was reluctant to go back. Now he can't wait to go back, as do I. The food leans toward Mediterranean and high quality."

  • "This is the second time we went to the restaurant. Keeping in mind that the portions are huge, I ordered a small salad and a side vegetable kabob. The server, who was so pleasant, was new and out came out with a huge salad and a kabob big enough for two. The server was very apologetic and took the salad back and off the tab. That being said, the food is so flavorful, the bread delicious, and the noise level low enough to hear the person across the table from you - the restaurant warrants a return visit. Just be sure to discuss what you are ordering and how large the serving is."

  • "We were entertaining colleagues from India and one was a true vegan. I went down the list of restaurants on Open Table and when I found Flavor it had everything we were looking for. Something for everyone! Our appetizers were so good everyone was passing them around. The entrees and desserts were wonderful and we shared again. The service was excellent. So, my husband and I intend to return on our own."

  • "We've been to Flavor 7 times and as a matter of fact used an Open Table earned check to dine there again tonight. However, something went wrong this night. Service was friendly, but poor. It appeared it was a night with short staff and shorter memories. Food was magnificent as usual. It's our favorite place to eat, but was poorly run this particular evening. We will return however."

  • "This was our first time eating at Flavor. I had recommendations from friends and used the reviews on Open Table to help make my decision to go. The food was fabulous. We shared appetizers, entree and dessert. One thing was better than the next. Our server, Sarah, was delightful. Very friendly, attentive, but not overly so. We will definitely return and probably bring friends!"

  • "We are fortunate to have several excellent Persian restaurants in the area, This is one of the best! lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender; be sure to try the Tah Chin. The appetizer meatballs(kufteh tabriz) were out-of this world, and the eggplant spread (kashk bademjoon) delicious. If you haven't tried Persian, this is a good place to start. Pretty decor, good service; the servers know the menu well and are very pleasant."

  • "We had a delicious meal. We started with the appetizer sampler. The waitress recommended the choices of eggplant,cucumber with yogurt, and a mango and eggplant. All were delicious. The entrees were a chicken tandoori,shrimp kabob,steak kabob. All the dishes were wonderful. We took our friends for the first time and they loved it."

  • "Have been there for lunch several times and had a great salad so we met friends there for dinner. The appetizers were ok but skimpy and sparse. Dinner was a big bowl of rice and a flat piece of what we thought was supposed to be tenderloin, but it might have been 1/4 inch thick and even though we ordered it with pink inside, it was well done. It was tender but tasted like it was boiled and NO veggies except one small broiled tomato. Would never go back for dinner."

  • "My wife and I were looking to try something new and interesting for date night. This little spot popped up on OT and we have it a go. I'm very glad we did. The appetizers were flavorful and varied, the entrees exciting, and even dessert was something we'd never had. The pistachio ice cream had enough rose water in it to be floral! A must try... we'll be going back to try the rest of the kabobs and Tandoori dishes."

  • "This was my 3rd time to Flavor since they completely changed to be an upscale Mediterranean restaurant. I arrived at 6:30 and there was only one occupied booth. A few more people showed up. I wonder why more people aren't going? The prices might be a bit too high for a Sandy Springs neighborhood restaurant. The service was lovely and my food was good. I had the vegetarian kabob with tofu and the special rice that has lentils and raisins in it which is very good. It's good...but I don't think it's spectacular. Something is missing...not sure I can pinpoint it."

  • "This was our 2nd visit. We were greeted with a huge smile from the owner (?) or maitre d'. We sat in a booth and were brought good flat bread with a small plate of feta, mint, basil and tarragon leaves. We loved it. I am a veggie so I ordered the veggie kabob with lentil and raisin rice which were both delicious. My husband had the Sultan's special with various meat and plain rice. We enjoyed our food and the very quiet atmosphere. Mid-way through our ordering process - they had to switch waitresses on us but that was ok. Everyone seemed very eager to please and extra friendly. The food was delicious....the vegetables were done just the way I requested them. I'd go back for sure - although it is a bit too pricey for me."

He never completed orders and spilled dressing on customer etc. when manager was notified his response was"sever has been on the job only two days""

  • "Excellent décor and very easy to access/park. Plates are small, with some biggish salads. You can BYO if you wish at $10 for corkage. Very comfy, staff friendly and do not constantly interfere with your meal once served. Not crazy busy nor noisy. We will go back regularly...."

  • "Nice décor and feel...good service...excellent food. We brought our own bottle of wine. We particularly liked the Mirza Ghasemi dish. The booth we sat at had the benches too far from the table, but was easily adjusted. We will go back again, as we prefer small plates, shared plates and that type of food....."
