"I took a girlfriend for lunch last week, and we had a nice time.Our server was very nice and definately knew the menu. Our waters were always filled and an aditional loaf of bread arrived on our table. The dining room is very contemporary and the views are great. I had a warm salad, and my friend had the risotto. Both had poached eggs on them which you don't see often. We stayed over and hour and a half and were not rushed."

"I've been to Flavor many times, love the food & drinks. I've always had great service there, except this time, it wasn't just poor, it was atrocious! I've never had this poor of service from ANY restaurant, EVER, even fast food restaurants treat you better than our waiter (Dan) treated us. He did not come by to offer more drinks, ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything else, and we would have ordered more food and drinks, which would have increased the amount we spent there. I was literally in shock. The manager came over after I got the bill and asked if everything was OK tonight. I told him how we had been ignored. I gave the manager a 30% tip to be given directly to the back staff, they were great. I tipped the waiter 5%."

"I was surprised at how imaginative and well-executed the food was. The chef manages to draw in global influences without the menu sounding trite, and he pulls off some nice creativity in his dishes. All this in a stunning setting - the dining room has large glass panes that afford diners a beautiful view of the ocean. Service was friendly and very professional. Definitely a keeper."

"The front of the house seating staff was very accommodating. They found a seat that had a great view and was near the fire place (it was a cool evening). The menu had a good variety of complex and unique dishes. We started out with a fingerling potato dish that was sizeable and uniquely flavored (came with a crème fraiche dip). My wife ordered the Lobster Cavatelli. There was no short changing the dish on the chunks of lobster, it was packed. I had the Tuna Tataki which was very good. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience and we look forward to going back to Flavor Del Mar in the near future."

"I was there for a special celebration and it was perfect! Our waiter for fabulous - helpful, knowledgeable - attentive but not hovering. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. I loved the decor - it was curent and appealing. It was a great experience."
