Flame RestaurantUnforgettable is chef tasting!Chef Jason is awesome and personable. Immediately, upon entering the staff was welcoming. The food was phenomenal and my taste buds were inspired6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMQuiet spotWe were almost the only ones in the entire dining area. Fodd was very good. As is often the case in Vail, once you are served your meal, you are essentially abandoned- which was very puzzling considering the slow night.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOn Fire for FlameThe food was very good. We both had steaks and both the 6 ounce filet and the 12 ounce bone in filet were very good. The maple and bacon donuts for dessert were fantastic. Be sure and try them, you will love them. The dinner was made most memorable by our waiter Nicholas. He was charming. We loved his french accent and he gave us so much great information about the Vail area as well as information regarding a trip to France we are planning. The restaurant was not too busy, so he spent a lot of time with us and he was great !!! A real asset to Flames. We hope they know how lucky they are to have him, since a waiter can really make or break you dining experience.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was an anniversary meal. This was an anniversary meal. The steak was excellent and the service was very good. I could have done with the $19 martini as I don't like feeling ripped off via my bar tab. The restaurant was not very impressive looking and it was a pretty special occasion so I think we were hoping for something that looked and felt a little nicer. For the prices they charged I would have thought it was a palace!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFlame - Lights Fire for this FoodieWhat a fun dining experience. The menu was whimsical but steeped in classic dishes with a twist. I ordered a filet with the accompanying flight of sauces. Each sauce opened a new flavor profile on the steak. The lobster mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The Iconoclast cab-sav was a winner. The maple and bacon doughnuts should not be missed. Our server was knowledgeable and guided us to the best choices. The meal was extremely pricey but delicious!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMEntrée was okay - serviceEntrée was okay - service was very good.
Soup had been sitting for a while but tasted okay. Ambience is quite good.
A lot of money for an okay time - would recommend something less expensive for better quality.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFour Seasons Does A Steak GoodGreat addition to Vail restaurant scene. But very noisy and restaurant wasn't even full. Food was great!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI just spent 5 days in VailI just spent 5 days in Vail and Flame was my favorite dinner spot. Elegant room yet very casual at the same time. The food was top notch. We started with the elk "corn dogs" which were delicious and unusual. Then I had the buffalo ribeye which was cooked to perfection and the best buffalo steak that I have ever eaten. I ended the meal with a chocolate souffle to die for! I will go back for certain!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic service food and winesabsolutely outstanding service with delicious menu and fantastic wines.12/30/2012 12:00:00 AM
