  • "My wife and I went there for our anniversary and the food was fabulous! The server was new and nervous but we had a fantastic time anyways!"

  • "We have been to Fivespice multiple times and its always outstanding. The entire experience is always great!! We love going there and will be back again soon!!"

  • "We were very disappointed. first it took an hour to get our food, then one dish came absolutely cold, one steak was undercooked, and the two fish specials were so salty, they were almost inedible. The waiter did comp 3 of our cocktails and apologized for the wait and cold food (we didn't complain about the other meals). I really liked the ambiance, but it was very loud and obviously they're not able to keep up with their success."

  • "Average to good food. Nothing too special. Very high price for the value received. Very nice views, energetic ambiance, good vibe all around...just wish the cuisine matched the setting...and price."

  • "This location is nice by lake oswego but what sets it apart is the excellent service and friendly wait staff. Food is beyond excellent and highly recommended for families!"

  • "The special for the evening was Mong Chong. The fish was delicious! Even the fingerling potatoes were memorable. Our server was perfect b I gave ambiance a "C". It was pretty noisy right by the kitchen. But we soon forgot about The noise level. We did have reservations..."

  • "Every single time we dine here it's always wonderful. We make sure to request JJ because of his knowledge and entertaining service. It was a beautiful day in Lake Oswego and we dined on the outdoor patio overlooking the Lake. They were serving happy hour and we got to try a few different items that we haven't had before. Even the wine and drinks on their menu were refreshing. If you haven't been here yet I highly recommend you try it. They chefs are very good at what they do as well."

  • "We have dined here many times but we were taken back by the fact that they had changed the prices on their menu but not on their website. Some dinner entrees were as much as $8 to $10 more than what shows on-line. If they are going to make that kind of change, they need to update their website as well."

  • "We have been there many times. Quality of food has improved since new chef arrived with great Island seafood dishes. Menu needs to be undated more regularly as no much changes except daily specials (which they were out of the day I was there and only had five portions?) Ordered the Fish and Chips which was disappointing but sweet potato fries and cole slaw was great. Excellent wine list. Shrimp melt is one of my favorite and the tuna salad is always a safe bet."

  • "We did not enjoy the hostess who greeted us. We had reservations and checked in on time only to have her greet us with "If you could just wait, I don't know when a table will open up." When we asked if we could sit at a table in the bar, she declined and told us that she was "saving it in case a party of 4 showed up". Finally, a couple of seats opened up near the fireplace with a couple of ottomans. We decided to sit and wait there and the hostess then offered us dinner menus as if we were going to sit there and eat dinner off the ottomans. Thankfully, a regular table soon opened up and we were able to sit comfortably. Alls well that ends well but the hostess nearly ruined our experience."

  • "The food and the service were excellent, but the live classical guitarist made it a night to remember. I was worried about where I would park, but was happy to find a parking garage with three hours free only 10 meters from the front door."

  • "Loved the food! Great seafood stew & butter fish. Calamari was super good! Menu is a little pricey for everyday dining. Great fir special occasions."

  • "The cuisine, though marvelous, is very over-priced for the amount served. Lots of carbs on the plate!!!"

  • "Excellent, creative food. The pear salad was amazing, and everyone in our party kept sampling everyone else's dish. The lemon sorbet was excellent."

  • "We used a gift card and prob would not have come otherwise. Great atmosphere and nice location on the Lake but overpriced. We liked our meals but value wasn't really there. This place has a great patio and happy Hour may be more reasonable. Service was decent but a little slow. I enjoyed the Don Draper cocktail."

  • "Okay for a quick local dinner; but nothing special. Went for B-day and they did nothing to acknowledge the special occasion. A real bummer for a $250.00 dollar meal that was "lower than standard". Waiter did not know what was on the menu; and the wine list was expensive for not good bottles of wine. I would take your own; as the list was small. Zeppo's down the street is much better for a wine list, which is shocking as they had an Ipad for the wine list and I was excited thinking there was going to be some good wines. Very disappointed. Not much on the menu that was edible. Soup on a Friday was Carrot. I thought since it is a seafood place, they would have a seafood bisque especially on a Friday."

  • "We went to Five Spice for a birthday dinner. Wonderful food and service was marred by the truly awful tensor bright lighting, not pleasant for fine dining"
    Dined on 1/19/2014
  • "We had a group of 6 that had a table out front of the open kitchen. The ambiance was perfect. The drinks, lighting and noise were very nice, and the smells coming from the open kitchen were devine. We had a variety of dishes and everyone really liked the food they chose."

  • "The steak was overcooked and acknowledged by waiter. His offer of a free dessert was turned down because we dont't eat desserts. We for a discount on the steak and he refused, saying that it wasn't company policy. Our waiter also didn't pay too much attention to our table. Bread was very late to arrive...it seemed like he had too many tables."

  • "Made a reservation for my daughter in laws birthday. Told them about the special occasion when making the reservation, even called and confirmed it the day before. Showed up for dinner and ordered drinks and three appetizers. We got 2 apps, since our waitperson was also the bartender, had to wait until he returned (done with the 2 apps) to ask about the 3rd. Food was great. Since waitperson was bartender did not see him much. Big disappointment that nobody acknowledged Birthday since this was the reason we were there."

  • "My wife and I stopped in to celebrate one of lifes joys. The food was spot on.I ordered a glass of Port to finish this celebration. The waiter brought me a "short" glass. He explained that the bartender gave us a free glass of port because it was the last of the bottle. Not quite a 3/4 portion. Unfortunate for us the portion was full of solids and undrinkable. Waiter could care less that I left it without drinking it."

  • "Came for New Year's eve dinner before a movie and it was great! atmoshpere was elegant, but casusal and romantic. Server was super, very efficient and knowldegable. We started off with the crab and beet salad, which we split. It was very good and just the right amount. For an entre, my wife had the seared scallops and I had the grilled sturgeon. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and delicious! Sides for both dishes were also good, a mixed spinach and beet saute for the scallops and a black rissoto for the sturgeon. Overall, a wonderful dinner and evening!"

  • "It was the first time during the hectic holiday season that my husband and i had time to ourselves. The food was excellent. The waiter knew it was my birthday and made my day special. The dessert was awesome! We'll be back in March when another birthday is celebrated! Thank you."

  • "Our Christmas eve dinner was absoulutely delicious. The only one tiny issue was my rack of lamb was tough, but very TASTY! That's it. Our server was magnificant!"

  • "This was one of our favorite restaurants because of ambiance and food. Not this time. Our table was not available at time of reservation so we were seated in a noisy bar as we would have had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table in dining room. We brought a special bottle of wine to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. Their corkage fee was $25, in August it was $20. That's outrageous. Then there was the meal. The waiter brought the wrong order for me, took my husband's steak back and as it was getting cold and told him they would bring him a new steak when my meal arrived. He received the same steak."

  • "Excellent dinner and the food was very very good and service was fantastic! Only complaint I have is that it was way too loud I couldn't hear anything my friend was saying! Not very pleasant to go to dinner with a friend and you can't talk at dinner cause you can't hear the other person! Kinda ruins the whole night!"

  • "Food and wine were very good---and very over-priced! About the computerized wine list---link it to the bar, have me press send, and then it works well. Otherwise, pretty stupid."

  • "I opted to try a few of the small plates. The mushroom tart was delicious as were the crab cakes. I found the coconut shrimp a little lacking and pricey considering they were normal sized shrimp. My friend had the short ribs and loved it. Our server was excellent."

  • "Be careful about identifying sauces as "not spicy" when they are!"
