  • "One of my favorite meals to date! The attention to detail in each course was like nothing I have seen before. House-made lobster spaghetti was amazing- a great recommendation by our waitress Katie (who provided excellent service!)"

  • "Fitler Dining Room is an excellent restaurant in a city with a lot of competition. We have been there twice in the month, and totally enjoyed the creative ( and changing) menu, well priced and well chosen wine list and great service. The fish was delicious and well presented, and the carrot appetizer unusual and excellent."

  • "We were visiting for the weekend and found this brunch spot in an online article. Best decision we ever made! It was the best brunch of my life. Make sure you go the extra mike and get the Apple Brownie. It is served with maple ice cream and totally worth it! I'm sad we don't live in Philly because I would eat there every week."

  • "We had such a lovely time at FDR. Our server, Jessica was warm and personable. The food excellent and interesting. My husband and I loved the room as it had an intimate feel. This is truly a wonderful neighborhood place. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the wine list as well and made wonderful recommendations that complimented our meal. We were also the last table on a Tuesday night and we did not feel rushed whatsoever. We will be returning to this excellent restaurant."

  • "First time at Fittler DR. We will be back. We had an early Sat. night reservation. Service was perfect, elegant, attentive but not hovering. Food presentation was spectacular. I had snails with gnocchi to start and fluke. My husband had butternut squash soup and skate. We ended with an apple brownie. Reasonable and good wines by the glass. Meal was a little pricey for the evening but worth it. Very small place but it did not feel cramped and was not too noisy. A very special place."

  • "The food on the limited menu is very good but portions are hardly ample. A delicious scallop appetizer has one scallop for $16. The main course plates are adequate for most appetites. The wine list is extensive. I would advise diners to buy a bottle because the pour by the glass, 11 or 12 dollars, is extremely skimpy, so little that my guest complained and was given additional wine "on the house." Service was friendly and professional. Location suggests a neighborhood place, but price and portions indicate special occasions."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at Fitler Dining Room and enjoyed every aspect of the evening. The room is intimate and comfortable. The food was both complex and hearty. The servers were attentive without being overbearing, and every person on the floor was very knowledgeable about the menu. As a result, the staff helped us put together a tremendous dining experience."

  • "I have heard great things about FDR, and had been a frequent diner at Mei Mei, which used to be in the same space. I wanted a draft beer, but there was none available that evening. Wait staff was initially friendly but could have been more attentive and less unctuous. Our mushroom appetizer was bland and the accompanying sour dough bread was hard as a rock. We had a pasta entree and a chicken entree. Neither was memorable, and the pasta dish at $22.00 was more like an appetizer. The chicken did not seem to have been cooked through and was under-seasoned. I will try FDR again, as maybe this was just a bad night. But I was definitely disappointed and would not recommend FDR to friends until I do have a good experience there."

  • "We finally made it to the FDR, since reservations are hard to come by around the dinner hour. Now we know why. The food was absolutely delicious, with excellent service in this quaint little space that used to be Meme. We started with wild burgunday snails, which were expertly prepared, accompanied by pillow-like gnocchi, and received the marinated mushrooms on the house due to an error, that was also delicious. For our entrees, my wife ordered the fluke, which she proceeded to devour, making up for her disappointment that the goat cheese cavatelli that she saw on-line was no longer on the menu. I had the skate with mussels and curry, which was just as good. Dessert (carrot cake) was simple and tasty. We will definitely be back."

  • "2nd time there and found the menu challenging, the presentation slapdash and the service unprofessional. For a small place, the noise level was unbearable, similar to the other venue owned by this group. Very disappointed."

  • "What a great find! Adorable, tiny gem on Spruce. The chocolate peanut butter dessert was outstanding...all courses were lovely."

  • "Not a bad thing to say. Food, wine and service superb. It was a tiny place. Probably held max 30 people. So you were close to your neighbor. It could bother the some people, we just found it cozy. Wonderful time all around."

  • "Chose this place for a first date and it delivered on all fronts. Walked in and felt warm, inviting, smiling non-stressed chefs (rare). I like a small menu because it means that they do a few things very well. Fluke was outstanding, as was the flat iron steak. Service was just the right pace and with a smile. Will definitely return."

  • "The food was amazing; wonderfully prepared with perfect flavors. Not a whole lot of choices but can't go wrong with any of the selections. Attentive and professional service. Sophisticated urban decor in a friendly neighborhood spot. I will definitely go again and recommend to others."

  • "After reading great reviews, I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, it fell short. I started with the scallops. The dish was way too salty for me and just didn't seem to work. Then I had the pork which was as advertised: a whole lotta pork with nothing else. I didn't really enjoy it. Even dessert was a disappointment. Warm chocolate gateau with frozen peanut butter mouse. Sounded so good but the mouse was the size of a marble and was not nearly enough. The dish fell flat for me. Overall, 3 disappointing dishes. It's unlikely that I'll be back."

  • "Months after this quaint, neighborhood restaurant allowed me to take my engagement pictures here, I finally had the chance to sit down and enjoy a romantic, delightful meal. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, from oyster to wine questions she was spot on. We started with the freshly shucked oysters and moved on to the Farfalle with mushrooms and blue cheese, you can tell and see the freshness and quality of the cheese. I was slightly disappointed that the lemon pasta dish was sold out, as this was my first choice. Next we were dazzled with perfectly seared scallops and the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked, seasoned. We did experience a delay in the service as we had about an hour wait in between courses."

  • "My husband and I were displaced by the ice storm and were facing our 5th night in a hotel due to no power and PECO seemingly not knowing where Wynnewood is located. From the moment we walked in the service couldn't have been friendlier, the food more wonderfully prepared and the atmosphere more relaxing. The wine list is small and reasonable. I started with the snails and had the skate for my entree. My husband had the scallops and then the pork. He didn't leave a drop on either plate. Everything was wonderful. I don't remember the vineyard of the lovely white we shared but it was delicious and perfect for each dish. We finished with a chocolate gateau. The evening was so lovely we didn't feel the cold on the walk back to the hotel!"

  • "Really enjoyed my dinner at Fitler Dining Room with friends. The appetizers were delicious. The fluke was perfection. Finally our shared dessert, the carrot cake...well, I'm still drooling. It was so, so delicious. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "The space at the new Fitler Dining Room is similar to how it was at Meme which is intimate yet lively. The menu is innovative and delicious. I'd recommend it to any foodies who enjoy great food. The deal with corkage if you bring your own wine is that you don't have to pay corkage if you also buy one of their bottles which seems fair enough."

  • "FDR is a great restaurant in a city of great restaurants. The food is innovative and well executed. Really good and really interesting. The service is the perfect balance of formality and friendliness. A special evening every time we go."

  • "Fabulous food with complex flavors and they have skate! Quiet attentive service! I will definitely go back and will try their sister restaurant, Pub and Kitchen."

  • "Wonderful dining with excellent service. This clearly is a destination restaurant, in addition to being a neighborhood gem. The spiced carrots were reminiscent of being in a Moroccan restaurant, and the gnocchi with snails was divine. The light fluke went surprisingly well with root vegetables. Interesting wine list, too."

  • "Food presentation was lovely and its taste matched. No disappointments there. Fortunately, the restaurant was not full because the tile wall and hard surfaces would be a noisy room. The service was competent but oddly formal for a neighborhood place. Decor is very attractive showing a lot of attention. Wine list has hefty markups."

  • "The food is interesting and delicious. I was not sure how the varied ingredients in the carrot salad would taste all together and it was just fabulous. The blending of flavors in each dish was really special. The service was attentive and not rushed. The carrot cake was a little disappointing, but the rest of the meal was very special. A lovely evening. Would definitely eat here again."
