Our server, Rashad, announced that we would be ordering from a new menu. Well it was fabulous! We started with an order of Dim sum, calamari, and duck pate for the table. Our favorite was the calamari cooked in a tempura batter and served with a sweet chili glaze. So yummy! The seafood entrees tasted very fresh and cooked to perfection. Our table enjoyed the pan seared scallops with a coconut sauce and grilled snapper with delightful goat cheese dumplings. Excellent service and food. The only negative was the loud music. We were early diners and had difficulty talking over the boastful sounds. Overall, we will certainly return and recommend others.

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a good meal but not the best ever. We started with dim sum and all were delicious- my favorite was duck confit. Then, I got the scallops- delish and my husband got the sous vide lobster- he was disappointed that the coconut sauce wasn't cooked in the sous vide with the lobster because it was bland. Both entrees didn't have much on the plate as far as sides. The dessert dim sum was THE BEST with 4 sampler bites. They were very accommodating for our anniversary, but I would skip entrees and just get apps and dessert next time.

Chose this restaurants on the excellent reviews. My food, the merquez stuffed quail was relatively tasteless. I couldn't taste any difference between the mashed merquez and the quail. It was just a mish mash. The rest of the plate was forgettable. Would not bother eating here again

We joined a couple who live part-time in downtown Charleston and frequent many of the restaurants. We all were so delighted with Fish. The swordfish, scallops and boullibaisse plates were so good and the two gentlemen loved the tuna tartare. Service was also perfect...right there and attentive, but not hovering. We will go back...soon.

Our two day visit to Charleston included stops at several highly rated restaurants. Janet's appetizers (tuna tartare and grilled artichoke) were tasty but very small for the price. My scallops were also tasty but small. The presentation with both were quite lovely. Avoid the bar area which was very noisy, which we did. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice.

We've dined at some of the most famous Charleston restaurants this week and we both agree that the food experience and service at Fish was the most memorable. The chef knows how to combine flavors which have your taste buds yelling for more! The dim sum of 4 choices was perfect, the scallop entree was cooked to perfection and the braised beef was presented sliced and tasted like the best tender filet mignon. The potato sticks with bacon bits and a sweet spicy dipping sauce complemented the flavors of the meal. Our server was welcoming, friendly and made sure the timing of courses from drinks to desert was perfect. You don't want to miss this dining experience!

We enjoyed our experience at Fish. The service was outstanding with our server always being at our table at the right time. This was especially note worthy because she was serving a large party at the same time as us. We each had the Scallops which we thought were outstanding. The Peach Epiphany dessert was a perfect way to finish. Although the wine we had was excellent, we would recommend that there be some more moderately priced wines added to the wine

We enjoyed several 3 for $30 meals this week as part of Charleston restaurant week. The total experience at Fish clearly stood out for us as the best. While they scaled back slightly on portions, I'm glad they did so we could enjoy perfectly sized plates. The tuna tartare was excellent and the artichoke very good as well. The scallops and the snapper entrees were fabulous. The peach epiphany and ban moh deserts were yummy. Service was great.

Moved here 9 months ago. Food is good but nothing over the top. Finally food with flavor. Spices flavor. Good southern food in Charleston, but nice to eat world food. Having lived in several areas in the world, appreciate flavors. Went during restaurant week so hope this is the standard. If you like food with flavors, don't miss this one in Charleston.

i used to do the Trade Show Circuit a few year back and had dinners out in most of America's major cities. This dinner experience @ Fish ranks up there as the second best I've had, behind Chicago. Granted I was with my wife of 41 years and we were celebrating her 61st birthday (can't get any better than that) it was a most enjoyable night. Thank you.

Some of the food was delicious. 2 of the appetizers were inedible. The artichoke heart was very tough and chewy. The tomato and mozzarella salad had bits of horribly offensive tasting seaweed. Both dishes were ruined. The server left our glasses empty for 20 minutes. I would not recommend Fish.

No, really. Plan on overeating because Fish is that good. You MUST order the Boa Bun for dessert. It will set the bar for donut-type desserts for the rest of your life. Also, the Curry Crab Soup (more like a bisque) was phenomenal. Scallops and Grouper entrees were both delish and while my girlfriend loves wines, I love local draught beer, and we were both pleasantly pleased.

A great contemporary seafood find on Upper King. Fish has a casual upscale feel to it with mirrors, glass, and comfortable booth and table seating. They have a great cocktail list and a good wine list as well. The Dim Sum appetizer list is very unique and all the offerings we have had on two visits now have been wonderful. Tuna tartare appetizer is presented in a unique way as well. I have had the grouper and scallop entrees and both are excellent. The service was excellent on our first visit, but our second visit was during restaurant week and service was a bit spotty due mostly to the packed house. Recommended for casual upscale contemporary fresh seafood presented in unique ways and they also have duck, quail and meat dishes as well.

My husband and I found this restaurant when we Googled fish restaurants. What a find!! We could not have been happier to have eaten at Fish. We were in Charleston just for one night. It happened to be Restaurant Week, so we took the 6:00 reservation. First of all, the service was impeccable. Not hovering, but always there at appropriate times. Second, the food was simply, amazing!! I had the sea scallops with grilled watermelon over coconut rice with peas, topped with arugula. It melted in my mouth with an explosion of favors. My husband ordered the grouper with crabmeat and said he wished we had another night in Charleston to come back. The baguettes were served hot and slightly sweetened. (Order extra baguettes, you'll thank me.)

My husband ordered the grouper which was actually 3 for $40 but our server told us that ahead of time and he enjoyed it so much it was worth the extra $10. I ordered the tuna tartar and naked fish which was outstanding. My husband's small plate was the calamari which he said was some of the best he ever tasted. Our server was also excellent!
