We enjoyed several 3 for $30 meals this week as part of Charleston restaurant week. The total experience at Fish clearly stood out for us as the best. While they scaled back slightly on portions, I'm glad they did so we could enjoy perfectly sized plates. The tuna tartare was excellent and the artichoke very good as well. The scallops and the snapper entrees were fabulous. The peach epiphany and ban moh deserts were yummy. Service was great.

Moved here 9 months ago. Food is good but nothing over the top. Finally food with flavor. Spices flavor. Good southern food in Charleston, but nice to eat world food. Having lived in several areas in the world, appreciate flavors. Went during restaurant week so hope this is the standard. If you like food with flavors, don't miss this one in Charleston.

i used to do the Trade Show Circuit a few year back and had dinners out in most of America's major cities. This dinner experience @ Fish ranks up there as the second best I've had, behind Chicago. Granted I was with my wife of 41 years and we were celebrating her 61st birthday (can't get any better than that) it was a most enjoyable night. Thank you.

Some of the food was delicious. 2 of the appetizers were inedible. The artichoke heart was very tough and chewy. The tomato and mozzarella salad had bits of horribly offensive tasting seaweed. Both dishes were ruined. The server left our glasses empty for 20 minutes. I would not recommend Fish.

I have eaten at Fish twice recently and both times had exceptional service and food. The first time I went with a large group of friends and not only were we quickly seated and served, but the setting was perfect for dinner and conversation. Both times the good was phenomenal. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for a small or large group.

No, really. Plan on overeating because Fish is that good. You MUST order the Boa Bun for dessert. It will set the bar for donut-type desserts for the rest of your life. Also, the Curry Crab Soup (more like a bisque) was phenomenal. Scallops and Grouper entrees were both delish and while my girlfriend loves wines, I love local draught beer, and we were both pleasantly pleased.

A great contemporary seafood find on Upper King. Fish has a casual upscale feel to it with mirrors, glass, and comfortable booth and table seating. They have a great cocktail list and a good wine list as well. The Dim Sum appetizer list is very unique and all the offerings we have had on two visits now have been wonderful. Tuna tartare appetizer is presented in a unique way as well. I have had the grouper and scallop entrees and both are excellent. The service was excellent on our first visit, but our second visit was during restaurant week and service was a bit spotty due mostly to the packed house. Recommended for casual upscale contemporary fresh seafood presented in unique ways and they also have duck, quail and meat dishes as well.

Chef Nico has done Charleston a great favor by opening his menu to Restaurant Week. At 3 for $30 it is probably the best deal in town. 1/2 price bottle of wine under $90 was also a great treat. The food was exceptional and innovative. The chocolate charcuterie should not be missed.

My husband and I found this restaurant when we Googled fish restaurants. What a find!! We could not have been happier to have eaten at Fish. We were in Charleston just for one night. It happened to be Restaurant Week, so we took the 6:00 reservation. First of all, the service was impeccable. Not hovering, but always there at appropriate times. Second, the food was simply, amazing!! I had the sea scallops with grilled watermelon over coconut rice with peas, topped with arugula. It melted in my mouth with an explosion of favors. My husband ordered the grouper with crabmeat and said he wished we had another night in Charleston to come back. The baguettes were served hot and slightly sweetened. (Order extra baguettes, you'll thank me.)

There 3 for $30 restaurant week menu was great. You get a small plate, a large plate and a dessert. My husband ordered the grouper which was actually 3 for $40 but our server told us that ahead of time and he enjoyed it so much it was worth the extra $10. I ordered the tuna tartar and naked fish which was outstanding. My husband's small plate was the calamari which he said was some of the best he ever tasted. Our server was also excellent!

The food was very good and the service was some of the best I have ever had. My only complaint which didn't allow me to rate it even higher is that my "small plate" appetizer was larger than my "large plate" entree. The bouillabaisse also had a little too much garlic for my taste. With that said, the clams du jour, lobster roll and curry crab soup were superb. We had an excellent waitress was very attentive and was excellent. My wife and I will certainly be coming back again.

Our group booked a table for 9 (for 8:00)and when we arrived on time, we were told that another large group was getting their desserts... 45 minutes later we were told that the other group was finished and still at the table. I had to ask about the room upstairs and the gentleman was very gracious and let us go up. First, he should have recommended the room 30 minutes ago. Second, the service was a bit slow and they did forget we were up there as our plates stuck to the table. I commend the waitress for trying to do her best and the extra champagne was a nice touch. Dessert was great. Still will not give this recommendation to friends when they have any group over 3. We were up too late for a school night leaving at 11:00 pm.

We had a nice dinner. The service was pretty good overall but I have had better. The food was pretty good too, but again, I've had better. We were unfortunate to have to sit too close to a table with loud and annoying ladies having a conversation that never stopped and couldn't have been more annoying. It was a relief to leave. Perhaps if the tables weren't so close to one another we could have enjoyed ourselves more.

Our waitress replied with her favorite entrees....snapper & grouper ($10 extra for grouper on Rest. Wk. menu). Mussels in a unique/delicious sauce to start and fried calamari and we finished with four each beignet-like stuffed marvels with bourbon caramel sauce.......Wonderful experience with a glass of Malbec and a beer. Out the door at about $115.00..........will do again! All was delicious & perfectly cooked. Bar area was more lively & would be great to try......We were in the room adjacent.......We didn't see the upstairs.

This outing was to celebrate 2 special occasions in one and it worked perfectly! We arrived early and was promptly greeted with a bright smile and energetic hello! Even though we were early, we were seated immediately and our server was there within a few moments to greet us with his name and several suggestions that made us both happy. The restaurant was a bit empty so it made service even faster but I feel Will, our server, would be able to deliver the same perfect service with a full restaurant since he seemed like he wanted to help us out as much as possible. Drinks never ran dry, he constantly asked us if we were ok, how the food and service was. I would love to revisit Fish Restaurant even if it is not a special occasion.
