All of the food was outstanding- fresh- beautifully presented.
The staff was attentive but not over-bearing. Just right.

Sundays are nice for brunch as they have music and the place is busy. I highly recommend the crab dip served with bread and vegetable's even if it's not on the menu they always have it. Got a great table on the 2nd floor where we could look out the windows over Market Street as well as look down on the bar scene on the first floor. (That's a whole 'nother story I won't go into here....suffice it to say my husband and I are glad we don't have to worry about finding a mate anymore!)
Food was great! Both of us started with a delicious Caesar salad with the mildest anchovies I've ever tasted. Then on to hangar steak over a potato pave for me...short ribs for the hubby. We followed it with lemon bread pudding with Firestone's homemade honey ice cream...oh my goodness! That last was worth the trip all by itself. From the service to quality of the food our time spent at Firestone's was nothing short of dazzling. The staff was welcoming and informative- proving the night all the better. The food was incredible! We ordered appetizers, a salad to split, and then our entrees. He got the hanger steak which is kinda a Firestone's staple, and super delicious. I ordered the pork chops. They turned out to be one of the best things I've ever eaten.
The service was great as well. Clearly the servers take their jobs seriously, but are so good they still have time to stop and laugh or discuss the menu.
Only negative thing- sitting on the top level closest to the railing can be a little loud because of the bar. But if you're anything like me, it's the perfect people watching place. Had an early dinner, sat next to the window upstairs--those are the best seats, get them if you can. Had the crab dip for starters, which was the evening's special. It was served with awesome, baby-sized toasted baugettes and big flat chips of fresh carrot and zucchini. I had the scallops for the main (had them before and, as always, they are INCREDIBLE), and my mom had the tuna steak that was also on special, I think? I'm not big on tuna, but she loved it. The divine food that arrived at our table was heavenly. The lamb sausage was spiced to perfection. The pork chop was moist and juicy. The trout vanished as quickly as it came to the table. And I am still dreaming about the duck. It was clear that great time and care went into preparing these dishes. The creativity in the food plateing was impressive. To my great suprise, I was delighted to see that you serve Illy coffee!

Bar and table service were excellent. Menu was small, but fresh. Food arrangement was artistic. Food quality was medium. Cowboy steak was of medium quality meat, but very tasty and cooked perfect. Lamb dish was dry. Appetizers were very tasty. The noise level was high due to the fact that the bar was very lively on Sunday PM. Prices on the high side for Frederick. Overall, good experience. However, we had not been there for awhile. We celebrated my husband's birthday with friends and found the experience there competely satisfying. The menu had sufficient variety, all of the food we ordered was delicious and came as per our specific requests (e.g., gluten free for one diner) and I was especially pleased with my Cosmo---many times I have found that when restaurants don't have a specific drink on their menu, they cannot make a standard drink well. I had also asked in advance for my husband's dessert to be brought at the end of the meal with a candle, and Firestone's followed through very well on that.
