Since 1992, Firenze Ristorante has been serving traditional homemade Italian cuisine to diners who quickly become regulars.



The décor is warm and inviting with stucco walls and terracotta floors; starched linens and candlelight. Italian conversations mingle with opera music and the aroma of delicious Italian fare stirs the senses. Owner Salvatore Lembo greets you like an old friend, in traditional Italian fashion. He will often visit tables to chat about the menu or his outstanding wine list, or anything at all.

This time it had just a few clams and the pasta was dry and very over pepperd. My friend had the snapper which was covered in a red sauce and not very good. They may have changed chefs."

  • "The food was excellent.The dinner salads were a little on the small side but they made their own ceasar dressing which had a lttle anchovie paste and that was a nice surprise.The halibt was excellent with capers and lemon olive,cooked to perfection.My linguinie had calamari,mussels and clams in a red spicy sauce was execellent.Our waiter was personable,prompt and freindly.This is a step above any other Italian resturant we have gone to.I would rate this a 9 out of 10 for scoring.I would go back when we have some extra money.It is a bit pricey but good Italian food usually is unless your going to the olive garden and this food was definitely worth it."

  • "I took 4 clients out if dinner last week @ Firenze. The food was great - but they we're out of a lot of items. Only salads were house and Caesar. They also had a great sounding ribeye special - but 2 of us ordered it and was later told they were out. It was a TH night and only about 30 people in the restaurant- so clearly they are not doing a good job with ordering stock. The food we did have was excellent though."

It is a little pricey for what you would expect from a restaurant in a strip mall, but for a special occasian place it is not too spendy."

  • "The restaurant accommodated our group of five with two small children in high chairs. We were the only group of diners with children, but we weren't made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. The food was delicious. Service was seamless. In the Pacific Northwest where it's difficult to find a good Italian restaurant, Firenze is the real deal! It reminds me of one of the great little neighborhood places in the Italian Market area of South Philly, but with better ambience. Truly delicious Italian food!"

  • "Pasta is outstanding! This is at least the third time we've eaten here. The first time we ordered steak and it was amazing. The second time we ordered the same and while it was good, not great. But, this last time our group ordered all pasta dishes and they were extraordinary across the board. We ate at Firenze for lunch and Montalcino for dinner (and La Vite e Bella recently for lunch). Firenze was hands down the superior of the three with La Vite e Bella trailing the other two by a large margin."

  • "We had a 7:00PM res. we arrived five min. early. We were immediately seated at he worst table in the place. (There were at least three better options open at the time). Clearly, a reservation will not assure a good table. Bread and water arrived quickly and the waiter arrived to take our order within five minutes. So far, so good. Our wine order took about fifteen minutes to show up, but perhaps the bar was very busy. The place was quite well attended. The time was now about 7:20. Our food finally arrived after 8:30. The food saved the evening. Great carbonara and lamb chops! Terrible service!"

  • "This is one of those little places that from the outside you wouldn't look at twice. It's located in a mall.strip mall right next to a frozen yogurt, cupcakes, a major pharmacy chain and a movie theater. But once you step in, it feels very authentic. The vibe is great for an italian place. The non-italian waiters due their best to provide a geunuin experience without going overboard on the "ciao" and "grazie". The food was a little disappointing to be honest. For the price, I expected better. The fod isn't bad, mind you. But it's not fresh-made pasta and the ingredients on the seafood pasta I had were frozen. The "regular" portions are large enough for a hungry person or for two to share. Overall, the taste was very good and I would return."

  • "I had read mixed reviews about Firenze. I was happily surprised by the excellent food and really good service. I had the clam linguine and my husband had a pasta with pancetta (I can't recall the name) and they were both delicious. What I liked in particular was the option of a small or regular portion. For me, the small was perfect (what a true portion size should be), so I ate the whole thing without feeling overly full (or guilty). We would definitely return to this restaurant. My only advice is don't go here if you are in a hurry. Or if you have to be somewhere - then allow extra time. They take their time, but not in a way that's bad..."

  • "My husband and I love this place. For the food but also for the ambiance. The waiters are all very nice. Yesterday we had the calamari as an entree and then II had the linguine Vongole and my husband had the Veal Picatta. The Linguine Vongole is the right combination of butter and chili flakes. The Picatta sauce is wonderful. Both are really tasty and sure bets. The Tiramisu was perfect to finish this wonderful meal. Wine wise we went for the special Tuscany wine that they recommended. It was a very light and easy to drink wine."

We are trying to make a 9:30 movie and ended up leaving without ever getting seated because we couldn't wait any longer.   • "We were looking forward to a nice evening out, unfortunately we were disappointed. Both ordered pasta dishes which were gloppy and nothing special. We could have made this same meal at home in under 30 minutes. Service was inattentive, for example it took quite a while to have water glasses refilled. Did enjoy a lovely glass of wine. Also, the owner(?) kept looking down his nose while surveying the restaurant and appeared annoyed that people weren't finishing more quickly. For an $80 dinner, I prefer not to feel rushed. The final straw was when the server returned after running our credit card and simply tossed the folio onto the table without a word. We won't be back."

After that was resolved we had a wonderful evening and the food was the best ITalian I have had since I left the Chicago area years ago. Deserts were fantastic."

  • "Haven't been for a number of years. In the interval, the prices had gone up while the quality of the food had gone down! Food not much better than industrial-quality Olive Garden. The owner is too busy playing host to his select group of friends to pay much attention to the quality of food coming out of the kitchen. The neglect is palpable. What used to be a neighbourhood gem is just another place who has seen better days. Cannot recommend in good conscience. If we ever do go back, it won't be for many, many years to come."
