Our menu is built on 500 year old recipes from Florence. It includes homemade pastas, dry aged meats, imported cheeses, an extensive wine list and a full-bar that delivers a range of cocktails.

  • "All I could say while eating the Gnocchi Rabbit Ragu was 'wow.' And as I'm sitting here recalling the amazing, melt-in-your-mouth textures and flavors... all I can say is: Wow. It was fantastic. Such a lovely combination of 'feel good' food and sophistication. I look forward to trying different dishes on my next visit... if I'm physically able to order anything other than the Rabbit Ragu, that is. The craving might just be too great."

  • "We've had several experiences over many months at this restaurant wanting to try different dishes each time to see if the salt content of the food would change...but it hasn't. Unfortunately, even the pesto gnocchi is somehow overly salty:( Every meat dish we've tried has also been salty. When I took clients there the client had to excuse himself from the table because the SeaBass was overly spicy - the fish wasn't even described as 'spicy' but 2 of the four diners could not finish their meals. We really liked the ambiance, decor, bar and service but if the food doesn't stand-out then why dine there? That was the question the other night...our final dine at Firenze."

Staff, all well groomed, attractive and above average in knowledge of food in general and the menu they work with. The entire staff exudes a feeling of the guest being welcome and in good hands, which was certainly our experience. Service was that of polished professionals. While the kitchen's workmanship was a notch above very good, I can't take it to a level of exceptional. As a chef/owner with advertised credentials such as a "TOP CHEF" recipient, I was expecting a menu with more creativity and execution. It was a first time visit and we do intend to return. As I said, better then most-not as good as some......"

  • "We had a gift certificate for the 7 course chef's table. We went early on a Sunday and had the place to ourselves for the most part. The chef's plates were excellent. Each showed great flavor and technique. The duck with blueberry risotto was a huge surprise! We drove from Newport Beach for the dinner and would definitely make the trip again. Service and explanation of the dishes were great as well."

  • "This was a perfect lunch choice for my daughter's graduation lunch. There were only 5 of us, and the restaurant was half empty, but it was still quite "energetic" in the restaurant. The food was delicious, service slightly inattentive - several times we had to flag someone down when we needed something. But, overall, it was a relaxing, unrushed, yummy celebration. We will definitely go back."

  • "I gave it five stars only because I couldn't do 4 1/2. I would typically reserve five for the absolute best of the best, but this was so close I rounded up. There were five of us for my dad's 90th birthday. I noted that on Open Table when I made the reservation and everyone commented and remembered, which was very nice. Plus we had a great table and they brought my dad dessert. The food was wonderful. The service was terrific. It's a little pricey so not a place we will be able to go all the time, but we were not disappointed in the least and will definitely consider it for our next special occasion."

I started off with the grilled pancetta & burrato crostini, then for the first course had the gnocchi pesto, (my fav), for the entree had the chicken marsala, and finally for dessert, flouless chocolate cake w/salted caramel gelato! It was as if I was back in Italy. Pricing was reasonable, service was excellent, and food was delicious! I really liked how our server, Bryan, showed us the specials on an ipad. I highly recommend this restaurant! I'm looking forward to going back and experiencing the chef's table! Definitely my new favorite restaurant!"

  • "Dinner for eight celebrating a graduation. Early reservations at 6:30 PM and the table was ready upon our arrival. We were introduced to our waiter, ordered some pre-dinner drinks and appetizers. Tried the anti-pasta and calamari, both were very good. Then the service seemed to take a turn....our waiter disappeared and it took time to get a person's attention to order a couple of bottles of, Acacia Pinot Noir. We seemed to go into slow-mo, finally got the wine and then had to request to order our dinner. Once we were able to order dinner the delivery was timely and the food was really excellent. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals, ranging from pasta, to fish to steaks. Excellent food and desserts....service fell short."

Their food is outstanding; their service friendly, helpful, and attentive. Great place for lovely dinner for two or bring along a couple friends. It will be a perfect evening.   • "Me and my wife made a reservation on Sunday night for the last seating time here. We were running late due to infamous LA traffic and called them to let them know that we were running late. They said that the kitchen was getting ready to close but that they would keep it open for us. When we finally got to the restaurant we were greeted and sat down to an amazing meal. The food was awesome and brought back memories for both of us of meals that we had enjoyed in Italy. Even though we were the last dinners remaining the staff never made us feel rushed or like we were keeping them from going home. Overall the experience was fabulous and we will definitely dine here again when in Southern California. "

  • "I'm originally from New Jersey, so I grew up going to locale Italian joints. Firenze Osteria reminded me of those places. Food solid, but not exceptional. Service good, restaurant energetic. I didn't look at the menu before I went, so I was surprised to see generic Italian-American offerings. I thought Fabio would be cooking more adventurous food, but I was wrong. I can't say anything was bad, but the food lacked passion. A bit paint by numbers."

  • "As foodies we thought we knew all the cool restaurants in LA. Well we were wrong! I found Firenze Osteria on Yelp. From the moment we walked in we were impressed. The restaurant is beautiful; the layout & decor create a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. We shared the Burrata Salad (Outrageously delicious!) and the Spinach & Ricotta Dumplings. I highly recommend both. My friend had the Braised Short Ribs and I had the Chicken Fussili Pasta. We just kept saying "Wow!" Dessert? We shared the Vanilla Creme Brûlée & the Flourless Chocolate Cake. There are no words! Firenze Osteria has got these classic gems down! Your eyes will roll to the back of your head in delight. If you expect excellent service & food then Firenze Osteria is it!"

  • "Was going to a show taping at 1pm at Universal (which was just a few blocks away) and was able to enjoy lunch here when they opened at 11:30. It worked out perfectly! My friend and I both shared the Crispy Duck salad and the Risotto, both very good. So many things on the menu sounded great! Their wine BTG choices were nice and reasonable too. Food quality was very good and the ambiance excellent also. Would recommend!"

  • "Firenze Osteria has done it AGAIN! Creative, scrumptious food accompanied by top-notch service keeps us coming back for more. Chef Ken Biffar is an absolute GENIUS in the kitchen. With each and every bite, our taste buds danced as if they were dancing upon the clouds of Heaven. We devoured (in the most lady-like way possible) ever single morsel of our seven course tasting menu. Firenze Osteria lives up to the slogan "Love. Food. Misbehavior." as there was plenty of all three!"

It's also a fine business casual type dining experience for that special occasion. And, it won't break your bank account! I highly recommend that you give them a try.   • "I have been going to this particular restaurant since 1995, it was previously Barsac. Initially when it changed names (not owners) the service was pretty awful. I have not gone back in several years. Recently I have gone twice and both experiences have been terrific. The servers were wonderful, the food totally yummy. I will go back again and again."

Deserts were good---but one needed to be sent back because it wasn't as advertised. Would go back again in hopes that everything would be running on all cylinders."
