  • "Great little spot, good service, good food or just stop for a drink"
    Dined on 2/2/2014
  • "Great menu variety! I love this treasure especially the mushroom gnudi and rotisserie chicken."
    Dined on 1/29/2014
  • "Restaurants attached to hotels often get a bum rap, but FireLake is not only an exception, it's fantastic! The food was excellent. Our waiter was outstanding and so knowledgeable about the menu. He made superb recommendations, as well. We requested a window seat but instead were put in the back. It didn't matter as got a booth facing the kitchen and the rest of the restaurant. All in all a near perfect experience. Thank you for a fabulous evening."

  • "Fire Lake continues to uphold our (by now) expectation of excellently prepared, creative entrees with top quality ingredients, including locally-sourced meats and fish. Our party of six enjoyed a selection of walleye cake, salmon pastrami and lamb fritter appetizers, followed by entrees ranging from turkey burger to lamb "duet" to roast duck to prime rib. All garnered high praise for their seasoning and preparation (in other words, rare is rare, medium rare is slightly more, etc.- and the chef's recommended doneness truly suits the food, as in medium rare at most for the very fine lamb chops in the "duet'). Service was excellent: courteous, attentive, and prompt but without being intrusive."

  • "Generally, I go for one of their noted rotisserie selections. This time, I went for the buffalo burger - a meat I have never liked - and was absolutely sold. My wife and I have dined here for most of our anniversaries, and I would (and have) highly recommended it to friends."

  • "My husband and I chose this restaurant expecting a more than average dining experience and we liked how the food is from local farmers. And what we found was that it was connected to the Radisson hotel, which brought in some people who were dressed in T shirts and jeans, and the feel of the restaurant was more casual than we expected. It didn't completely ruin our evening and the food was still great, but this is more for a casual evening with friends than a "treat" for date night."

  • "I was looking for a restaurant close to the Target Center & we were staying at the Radisson so I checked out their inhouse dining. I looked at the menu online & found at least 16 things that looked good so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed!! The drinks in the bar for happy hour were excellent. then we moved to our table & our server was very friendly & knowledgeable. I changed my mind about 5 times on what I wanted & then he told us the specials!! My husband & I split the double pork chop & indulged with the popover - so worth it!! The pork was done perfectly. Our friends ordered the black & bleu salad & also the pork chop - both were very pleased. We will definitely be visiting again!!"

  • "We had the lamb chops prime rib and wild rice soup was amazing!!! The wallet hash for breakfast was fantastic as well"
    Dined on 1/2/2014
  • "Service was outstanding however the food not very good. I think that it had a lot to do with so many people in the house. We will try again but not during a holiday."

  • "The food was really delicious and our waiter was excellent."
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "I love the idea of restaurants serving locally sourced food. This was my first dinner at Firelake, but I found the menu varied and the food superb. The five-onion soup was full of flavor. The popover (oh, the popover - I asked for them for breakfast the next day, but they weren't on the menu). I had the Buffalo rib-eye steak and it was prepared to perfection - medium, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Service was also excellent. I look forward to a return visit."

  • "We enjoyed attentive and knowledgeable service; very good food and a very pleasant evening."

  • "As a fluke, I needed to call the restaurant to add an additional person to my reservation on Christmas Eve and they told me I had no reservation to begin with. I even gave them the open table conformation number. Still nothing. If I have to call each time I make one through open table, why use open table? As far as the restaurant goes, nice atmosphere, good menu choices and the food was tasty. Our party of five enjoyed ourselves!"

  • "We decided to try a new tradition for our family of four on Christmas Eve by enjoying dinner after evening services. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our quality of food and service at Firelake Grill House in Mpls. The food was average at best and the service was slow. From the time our order was placed until our food was served was an hour wait. We will not be back or recommend this place to anyone. After paying $240.00 we expected to at least be satisfied."

  • "This is our third year to visit Fire Lake Grill on Christmas Day. This year we were too early for dinner but the breakfasts were very good. We started with beignets which weren't the real thing. Our party thought they were more like hush puppies. Good, but not what we expected. The service was very good."
    Dined on 12/25/2013
  • "Food was good - although, there weren't a lot of options for vegetarians - so I ended up with a pizza - which didn't seem too special for a Christmas lunch. Everyone else liked their dinner though. Although, I did notice the food was ready to go and didn't get picked up and delivered to our table until 10 min or so - which made the food not as hot as it should have been. The server was friendly and helpful. The bartender was also very friendly. A very festive place to spend a Christmas afternoon...."

  • "This place uses locally sourced meat and has a great selection. We had the lamb two ways and it was outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable and we sat near Ther open kitchen and rotisserie. We would go back here for sure."

  • "My family and I had never been there and didn't want the traditional "Christmas Buffet" and saw the wonderful reviews and decided to give it a try. We had a wonderful experience, a few of us had the Goose special with all of the sides and I had the Halibut! Our server was fabulous, extremely knowledgeable and we felt special the moment we walked in! The price point is a little high, but you definitely get what you pay for in quality and expertise in food preparations, we will be back!"

  • "Service for the 2 of us was slow. We arrived for our reservation at 11:30 and had our order taken by noon. Food was definitely good and we would return."

  • "Everything from the rotisserie chicken to bacon wrapped qual legs, beer and wine it taste amazing!"

  • "This was the perfect location to meet friends for brunch prior to an afternoon play in City Center. Service was great, the menu choices were varied, and the food was delicious. We would definitely go back there again!"
    Dined on 12/15/2013
  • "The food was decent but the service was very poor. Our waiter was lacking in knowledge of the menu, was not friendly and was not attentive to our table. We had 5 in our party and were provided with 2 menus for the table. The waiter never discussed specials for the evening nor did he simply even welcome us to the restaurant. He seemed rushed and preoccupied and was very unprofessional. The food was decent but not exceptional. We had a late reservation to avoid any "family" tables and at 9pm there the restaurant was full of young children. I would not recommend this restaurant to friends simply due to the lack of service."

  • "We went to dinner before the Hollidazzle parade and had a fabulous time. I have been there before and took a friend who had not and she also loved the place. We were dressed casually but it is the place that you can go in and wear dress jeans or a sequin dress and look right at home. Our waiter and I am sorry I don't remember his name was perfect. I would not recommend it for children however, more of an adult place."

  • "We stopped here before a show. I have to admit I knew this was located near the theatre, but I never made the effort. Don't miss it, the bison bone marrow alone is worth the trip !"

  • "My wife and I tried to get a 5 o'clock Friday evening reservation at Fogo de Chao and other nearby restaurants only to find them all booked solid. Firelake had a table for 2 available so I booked a res on Open Table. The menu was outstanding as well as the choice of libations. My wife had the Prime Rib and I ordered the Lamb and Petit Filet Mignon. They were both excellent and came with carmelized Brussels Sprouts. If you come here before catching a nearby show, it will be in your best interest to order your entrees as soon as you can as the order was a little long in coming (40 minutes). The waiter was very attentive without being obtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. I highly recommend it."

  • "My son and I went to FireLake Grill House before a show at the State. We went early, so it was quiet, but the bar was hopping. Our server was excellent. He was funny and personable. And knew just what we wanted. The food was good. Local farms provide everything. I would definitely go again, especially before a show. They were very fast."

  • "Service was a bit off and on. Brought appetizers and entrees all at the same time. Main waiter was friendly and helpful."

  • "Four of us dined together and we all loved our meals. The presentation and combined flavors of the dishes were amazing. Pork chops and a spinach salad w/rotisserie chicken, were among the favorites. Wine list was impressive too."

  • "Went to Minneapolis for the Thanksgiving Weekend. Dined at Firelake five years ago. We had a wonderful meal then and a fabulous meal on Friday. The decor is warm and inviting. When Holidazzle was over, families came in for dinner. We split our salad and entree which was ample for our appetites. The wild rice and farro was especially delicious with the duck. The wait staff was very attentive and cheery for the holiday."

  • "We enjoyed dinner at the FireLake Grill House so much the first time, we returned not long after for another great meal. Just as good the second time around."
    Dined on 11/29/2013
  • "We had a terrific meal dining on Rotisserie Prime Rib cooked to perfection and a Flat Iron steak with tiny fries (reminiscent of Steak Frites!). We started the meal with homemade potato chips served with two wonderful dips (the Blu Cheese was fantastic) and a well made bourbon old-fashioned. Our waiter Mike was not pushy or over-bearing but had exceptional knowledge of the food, it's preparation and he made great recommendations. He was enthusiastic and encouraging and honestly added immensely to our experience. We dined right after the Holidazzle Parade so thought it might be slower service but everything was terrific!"

  • "Had an excellent Thanksgiving Dinner with several of our friends (8 of us all together). Full traditional Thanksgiving meal. Most of us had leftovers for turkey sandwiches the next day. Vonnie was our waitress and she was exceptional. They seated us at a round table in a corner, which was perfect for conversations. A very pleasant holiday experience."

  • "We went to Firelake because of a good TV review about their Thanksgiving feast. It is the first time we have not cooked at home for this occasion. The food was delicious and generous enough to get a little of that overfed feeling. I saw most people were also enjoying their meals. Excellent parking nearby."
