FireLake Grill House Downtown MinneapolisThis was my first time inThis was my first time in Minneapolis, and this was a fantastic place to go. No regrets at all. I got the mushroom gnudi with salmon, and it was absolutely delicious! I took a picture, and by uploading it on onto Foursquare / Facebook, they gave me free dessert - I got the dark chocolate truffle tart which was rich and divine. Service was immaculate - I came in, the bartender asked if I wanted to sit down, I said yes, and I ended up getting served by a really fun and nice waitress. Definitely recommending! I wish I was coming back to Minneapolis again soon to try another dish.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMmy son and I always enjoymy son and I always enjoy the MN connections to most of the food. A friend wanted to try the restaurant one nite and she raved about her food choice.
As a mother, i really enjoy the extra special gift on Mother's Day. We walk past several DT restaurants with good food, but none treat mom like Firelake does.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day SpecialI decided to take my family to Fire Lake due to the great reviews and a little adventure because we have never been or even heard of the restaurant.
Absolutely fabulous! the atmosphere was wonderful; we went right after church service so around 3:00pm. Our waiter was very patient and knowledgeble of the menu and with my grandmother's request. We had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back ; maybe for a dinner next time!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebration Place-to-beDinner was perfect start to a romantic get-away weekend for my wife and me. Thank you for a fun evening filled with great food and fun banter!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEven in a small room withEven in a small room with several other occupied tables, it didn't feel crowded or loud. The waffles were excellent, and the turkey sausage was a nice surprise (actually an almost delayed spice). Although I don't really care for pulp in my orange juice, I should have asked how they served their mimosas, I guess. Very nice, hope to go back soon!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI always recommend FireLakeI always recommend FireLake for business lunches because the menu is diverse, food is locally sourced, the service is great and most importantly, you can hear your colleagues at the table (a rarity in downtown Minneapolis).4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMCame for my wife's birthday,Came for my wife's birthday, and received very accommodating service in regards to having flowers delivered and getting a romantic booth. I also really liked the noise level - quiet enough to talk without raising your voice, but just enough noise so that you couldn't overhear others' conversations.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for lunch!I love the FireLake Grill house, consistant great food. Their lunch combo is an excellent value - 1/2 sandwich & soup or Salad. Very ample portions and the food is delicious. I had the Vegetable melt and Spinach & Warm Brie salad. Both were excellent.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great experienceAlways a great experience at FireLake! The menu is incredibly inventive! We'll be back!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversaryMy boyfriend and I went to Firelake for our anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better place to go. It was romatic and cozy. The prices weren't bad at all (most expensive entree probably $30.)
We had our reservation at 5:30 and a show at 7pm. Our waitress made sure that our food was there quickly so we didn't have to rush to eat. We even had time to eat a complimentary dessert.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a treat! The service is always great and the food is always delicious! Very accommodating and knowledgeable of their ingredients for those of us with a gluten-intolerance as well.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Grill in MinneapolisGreat spot to have dinner if you are in a downtown Minneapolis hotel, this one is in the Radison on 7th street. Note: It's a grill but they had a lot of Fish selections which wowed my non-beef guest, striped bass, which was great. Best Butterscotch pudding desert ever. Wendy, our Server, was incredible.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our favorite spotThis is our favorite spot before or after the theatre. Food and service are always exceptional. Great variety and very accomodating in addressing food allergies.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was great fun. Prawns IIt was great fun. Prawns I had were cooked perfectly; something to say since I am seafood snob and we live in Minnesota. :) My girlfriend took me out here for my birthday and once the waitress found out, gave us a free desserts. Thanks! Would recommend to others.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLove FireLake for breakfast!!Love FireLake for breakfast!! We will drive downtown from Eden Prairie just to get their breakfast because it's so good!! Kids & wife love the pancakes, and I love the Crab omelet. Fabulous!!3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA GemPleasantly surprised. The restaurant it self needs updating. But the food was amazing!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMUnder the direction of ChefUnder the direction of Chef Jim Kyndberg, FireLake is emerging as a well-respected destination in the Minneapolis downtown dining scene. We have followed Chef Jim from his Bayport Cookery days through his turns at The Kitchen, Locavores, Crave and now Firelake, so we knew to expect good food from his kitchen, but our experience definitely far exceeded our expectations! Everything we had was great, and the rotisserie duck was especially memorable - maybe the best duck I've ever had. The flavors were fantastic, the meat juicy and delicious and everything worked together on the plate to make it superbly delicious. We will be back.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent walleye! We haven't eaten at FireLake in quite awhile, but had been pleased in the past. I met friends for dinner after work and we needed to be conveniently located. I was charged with finding a restaurant that they hadn't tried before so I chose FireLake. We were very pleased. We all had the walleye dinner, which was excellent. The service was very good and the server was very efficient. We were seated directly in front of the open kitchen, which was pretty warm and somewhat noisy. Although it did not inconvenience us, when I dine there in the future, I would probably ask to be seated a bit further away from the kitchen. Other than that, our dining experience was very good. Would definitely recommend FireLake!3/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
