Firefly offered us a diverse menu selection to experiment or fall back on old favorites. My husband had the bone-in Ribeye, which he enjoyed, and I had the stuffed Prime Rib, which I recommend highly. My husband tried a bite of mine and said by comparison that his would be "tough", but in no way was complaining about either entree.
We finished our meal with cheesecake for him and creme brulee for me and once again both were fantastic, but mine was the better of the two.

Everyone had a phenomenal experience. The 80-something's ordered the crab cakes, and said they were outstanding. The kids split a filet and loved it- minus the asparagus, which I relieved them of. My husband got the Cajun pasta and said it was enjoyably spicy, first time to have crawfish. My mom and I split the filet with blue cheese...Amazing! My dad had the halibut and loved it. Our waiter, Chris, was polite, professional and patient with our many questions and indecisiveness. Will definitely go back!
Side note- the only reason the ambience score was a little low was because it was so dimly lit, that seeing the menu was a challenge; especially for the elderly in our group.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthdayMy wife and I celebrated her birthday at Firefly last Thursday night. Extremely rich, neither of us cared for it. Others seem to really like it though. The grilled grouper was very good. The couple dining with us had steaks (fillet with blue cheese). Great ambience and fairly quiet for being so busy. The service was top notch from the time we walked in the door until we were finished dining. Having been in the restaurant business for 10 years, I was impressed with the professional service and the quality of the food. The ambiance was great as well.
They had recently opened their sushi bar so we decided to have a sushi roll as an appetizer.I have to say that hands down it was the best sushi I have ever had. My fiance and I have worked in fine dining sushi restaurants and have eaten sushi in many places and we were both amazed and the quality, freshness, and presentation.
We both enjoyed our entrees that evening but ended up going back the next day just to eat sushi and it was all amazing.

I love the ambience; the service is impeccable, but still friendly. The food is always unbelievably good. On this occasion, I had the pepper crusted filet mignon and the she-crab soup (can't go to Firefly and not have the she-crab soup). I can honestly say it was probably the best steak I have ever eaten, and I have had a lot of steaks. Perfectly seasoned, perfect med-rare... flavorful and delicious, you wouldn't even need a knife to cut it. My mother had the lamb, and she said it was the best she'd ever had. The host were very great to help the manger was very nice to help. The service was great. Ashley was great. The service of all were very on key with all there service. They were helpful and it was set up very professional. Everyone were on key to help out each other and get things set up quickly. That makes a great work force to know that customers are treated great and to make the atmosphere be calm and collected. It show great managing and well 5 star place overall to eat and enjoy the evening. The area was very romantic and everyone were happy to be there. It's the one night in Florida when you don't want to wear flip flops and baggy beach wear. You want to dress up a bit to fit into the ambience of this restaurant. The food is fabulous from the first course to dessert. The crab cakes were amazing, the she crab soup was to die for, and the filet was melt in your mouth delicious. I took my creme brulee' back to our townhouse to have as a little bed picnic later that night.
This place is not inexpensive. The service was fast, attentive, and very pleasant. My wife requires a gluten-free diet and the kitchen is more than able to accommodate. There's no gluten-free menu, but if you let them know, then the kitchen and wait staff will work around your requirements, substituting sides or modifying recipes, and the food was absolutely amazing! I had the boar shank, my wife had the veal chop. Both absolutely amazing. Also, the place maintains a romantic atmosphere, with a big tree in the middle of the restaurant mimicking an outdoor patio. It seemed a bit loud for a Monday night, but certainly not a deal breaker. The baked brie appetizer was delicious, not spectacular. The Caesar salad was delicious, though the crab gave it a slightly fishy taste, (great if you like anchovy in Caesar). The butter lettuce salad was spectacular. The real star was the entree. The stuffed filet is the most delicious steak I've ever eaten, and even medium-well, as tender as cake. Even the potato hash side was to-die-for. The desserts shine just as bright. The creme brulee is the finest I've ever had, and the bread pudding (mine was chocolate), was so decadently rich I couldn't finish it. Service was 5-star but very friendly and not stuffy. I HIGHLY recommend Firefly.
