"The staff is really courteous and friendly, ambience is pretty good and menu is quite elaborate. There were four of us and though we are all small eaters, there were enough options for all.

"Our server did a great job of making us happy during our saturday lunch but the kitchen was doing a nightmare of a job throughout. The medium kobe burger first came late, was rare and bloody. Our server took it back and this time I got a well-done burger. Given that someone else at our table ordered the regular burger, I am fairly certain that it was the same burger, just priced at a premium. Another person ordered eggs benedict with salmon. There was no salmon on the plate served. Upon closer inspection, our server brought 3 pieces of grey smoked salmon to the table. There were no eggs in the huevos rancheros dish. Our server had to also bring these separately as it was forgotten. Overall,a horrible food experience, never again!"

"Surpassed expectations, many of the yelp reviews complained of subpar service and food that had gone down hill in quality.

I would have to disagree, I had a very good steak, charred just right/ cooked perfectly right through medium rare and as tender as can be. For the money and quality its hard to beat. I have been to all the top steak houses in NYC from Lugers to Del Friscos and the Palm and for NJ steak Fire N Oak holds its own.

I would recommend it hands down."

"I had never been there but decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. The French toast was amazing. Probably the best I've had. I thought my poached eggs were a bit too done. Overall I would definitely recommend it and go back."
