I grabbed my phone and went online to make a reservation. Open table was able to get us a seat account Fire and Ice wasn't taking anymore reservations (booked). We went and the food was delicious and everyone had a great time. They have a large grill in the middle where they make you omlettes, pancakes and anything else they have available. All of the staff were so friendly and they would bring the food to you rather than having to wait at the 'grill bar' (if not too busy). Our server was so attentive, friendly and we all felt welcome and very well fed at the end of the meal! The food was really good. Everything was very clean and orderly. The omlets were awesome too. I would definitly go back there for brunch! I enjoy the atmosphere, the fun cooks and the fresh and tasty food. Just about anytime someone comes to visit me in the city, this is where I take them to eat. I find it kind of expensive, but if you think about what you're paying for, it's worth it. You really do get your moneys worth. * Note to any first timers, the peach bellini is really really good!* If you've never been I highly recommend that you go! If it's been awhile, go again! We had made reservations for 3 ahead of time which is the thing to do...the space fills up quickly. We shared the space with 250 highschool band students. The staff handled it well and met all of our needs. From the moment we walked in to when we paid and left we were treated with the utmost respect. The ambience of the hotel was amazing and everyone was friendly. It was an extremely busy night 4/5/2013 but our waiter was amazing. He took the time to talk with us and get to know us and even showed us around and how to get your food and where to go.
The chicken was delicious and all the noodle variety and meats were perfect. The cooks were very friendly and cooked everything to perfection. What stood out to me was our waiter actually found us in the crowd of about 40 people, and served us samples of beer on the house! Highly recommend for first timers. I love the atmosphere and energy of this restaurant. The chefs are entertaining and they all seem to know what they are doing and help in every area, from cleaning the grill to grilling all our crazy concoctions. I highly recommend Fire + Ice in Boston for a fun night out, especially if you are in a group. The only complaint was that we made reservations for 8:30pm on a Friday and weren't seated until 9:20pm. The service was really good and the food was fine. Going to this place is more about the experience picking your own ingredients and having fun with your friends. So happy it worked out, because she absolutely loved it, and I did as always, too. My favorite characteristic is that I can eat well while supporting my dietary needs; there are not many restaurants where I can go repeatedly and reliably while avoiding sodium. I simply choose non-marinated meats, and don't select a sauce or anything cured (like pickles). Meanwhile, others in my group can have whatever they like, without listening to me grill the servers about how things are prepared, and what I can have them omit to fit my needs.
