Fiorentino'sGreat for meat lovers & vegetariansMy date and I split the Australian lamb chops, which were served with a sauce that was so good, we dipped our bread into it to enjoy every single drop. The seafood medley had a great portion of tender seafood in a flavorful broth. We can't wait to go back!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightfulThis was a delightful dining experience. The seating in the softly lit outdoor dining patio where this evening had a light rain storm which made the room smell like a fresh flower garden. The timing of everything from the seating to the delivery of the drinks and the food was perfect. We did have early reservations on a weeknight and it wasn't very busy. I had the salad of arugula greens with parmigiana cheese and the portobella mushroom ravioli which was outstanding! We topped it off with the best canolli I'd ever had. Cannot wait to try other dishes and will definitely recommend to family and friends.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother Delicious MealI'm becoming a regular at Fiorentinos, dining in the garden which is cooled in the summer and heated in the winter. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, the grilled Polpo appetizer is deliciously tender and the Arncini are very good too.My favorite is the Frutti di Mare with Risotto (plenty of seafood) and for desert the unconstructed Canoli. They have a very nice wine menu and John is very helpful with recommendations.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful and delicious foodI am lucky that Fiorentino's is walking distance from my home, as it has become one of my favorites. The food is always good and the service is friendly. I love the half-price bottles of wine on Mondays. I always order the scallops appetizer--a slightly different presentation each time with fresh ingredients and always perfectly cooked. The apple fig bleu cheese salad is amazing. The seafood entrees are healthy and perfectly prepared. I love the covered outdoor patio and beautiful flowers. The service is always top-notch. Highly recommend!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFiortino's is THE best ItalianFiortino's is THE best Italian restaurant in the City. I can't believe it has taken me so long to hear/know about it. The food is delicious and extremely fresh. The ambiance is amazing. The outdoor patio, even in the winter, is very quaint and wonderful and makes you feel like you are in Italy. The service has been tremendous each time I've been there. Saturday I was there with friends and my sister. We stayed quite long after eating & the waiter kept making sure we were ok, but did not encourage us to leave or make any indication that we had to leave. Another great dining experience!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA delightful evening withA delightful evening with friends. The flowers in the garden greatly enhance the dining experience.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMamazing Italian foodI first went to Fiorentino's on New Year's Eve, arguably one of the more crowded nights out. We had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived even though the dining room was full. The service was great despite the hectic night, and the food was incredible. Stuffed gnocchi? Yes please! I took my mom last weekend after we discovered they offer a gluten free menu that isn't just meat and salad. She raved about her dish for days afterward. If you haven't tried Fiorentino's yet you must go. Don't let the Ashland Ave address scare you, it's very quiet inside. You'd never know you were on a busy street. There's even parking in the adjacent lot. Give it a try!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways excelsCame here once before for an anniversary dinner and then last evening for a graduation dinner with a large group. Had high expectations since my last visit was perfect, and Fiorentino's did not fail to impress. The stuffed Gnocci was a favorite for our table along with the crab cakes. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA Don't miss experienceThis wonderful Italian eatery has taken its place amongst the best in Chicago. It took a while to accomplish this but time has turned this neighborhood venue into a WINNER! Waitstaff is knowledgable and "fun". No rushing the patrons ins this establishment, rather encouragement to take your time, converse with friends, and savor the food. Each of our 4 person group enjoyed a separate entree and the consensus was that all were sensational. From the pasta with it's savory sauce to the veal and chicken dishes, everybody wanted to try a "sample" of every dish on the table. Other than "Ooh, that's fantastic", conversation gave way to just good old fashoned eating! Reasonably priced, it is really a "don't miss" place to go
Lou the Listener5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMy family from Crystal LakeMy family from Crystal Lake came to the city for my birthday dinner. I originally requested a seat in the outdoor patio because it's so pretty, and usually it's quiet (my dad is hard of hearing), but this time, it was the first 70 degree day of the year so EVERYONE wanted to sit outside. After we were seated, my mom asked if we could move inside so my dad could hear us better, and it was no problem. The atmosphere is soothing, with all the famous "crooners" playing over the speakers, it is beautifully decorated, and the service is excellent! And since it was my birthday, they brought me a signature dessert on the house! My parent's didn't even have to ask-- they had it written on our reservation.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFiorentino's is a favoriteFiorentino's is a favorite of my husband's and mine. The food, atmosphere and service are topnotch.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMrepeat visitor-which saysrepeat visitor-which says it all! Last visit was somewhat differentthan usual as it was quite busy (earlu Sunday night with many families which included 6-12 year olds). Our waiter forgot to place an order for a salad I had ordered with my pasta-not fatal- but not up to the usual wait staf experience. Living in the neighborhood assures tat we will return.Lou The Listener4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWaiter was very nice and perfectWaiter was very nice and perfect place for a weekend dinner in Lakeview area. John and Francis are wonderful3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been here several timesI have been here several times and never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and does a great job explaining different things on the menu. Coming from an Italian family, I hold very high expectations. Fiorentinos meets those expectations every time. This will always be one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my wife and I's favoriteOne of my wife and I's favorite spots. Nevermind that it's on Ashland, you won't hear the street the minute you enter the door. The outdoor area feels like Sicily and is also surprisingly quiet. I can't get away from the Tilapia Almafi, but I try my wife's dish every time and they are all fantastic. I highly recommend the signature pasta or the Tortelini alla panna.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed the ambiance,We really enjoyed the ambiance, service Nd the food.
