Fior D'ItaliaService was great, food wasService was great, food was lovely. Was recommended to us on a San Fran tour and we are very glad we can and checked it out5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome placeI was visiting from Delaware and Fior D'Italia was recommended to me by some coworkers who lived in San Francisco as a place to stop. I was not disappointed by their recommendation. I sat at the bar and befriended some locals. Good food, my favorite wine was in stock, great "dessert" (Tiramasu Martini) and wonderful staff made this a place I will certainly go back to the next time I'm in the area!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic SF ItalianThey have been around (in a few different locations) forever. They call themselves the Oldest Italian Restaurant in the USA and maintain a tradition. All the usual menu items with a few non-italian goodies thrown in -- like Ceasar Salad and
Feducinni Alfredo. We love the consistancy but miss the old location on Washington Square.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved Fior D'ItaliaFior D'Italia was wonderful. We were down from Seattle and looking for good Italian. We knew of the restaurant's reputation as the oldest Italian restaurant in America, and were frankly a little concerned that it might be a so-so place riding on it's history. But the food was great: one of the best Caesar Salads I've ever had, pasta perfectly cooked, with complex sauces. Really first rate.
Service matched the food. Sophisticated and elegant, but friendly. a great experience.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOuting for my daughter's 16thOuting for my daughter's 16th birthday with friends. They wanted an Italian atmosphere and food and that's what they got. From the hello, to the service, the food, wine and dessert it was all with Italian flare. We had a great time.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good asThe food was very good as was the service. We were able to get the waiter's attention when we needed him although the restaurant was quite busy. I will go back. I have been there many times over the years and are delighted they have reopened.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it all...felt like ILoved it all...felt like I was in someone's home....treated graciously, warm and friendly...food was like dining at my Italian grandma's house. All ages...fun...not rushed. ample food.
We're already planning what we're going to order next time.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been fans for yearsWe've been fans for years and are glad to see them back and better than ever!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to go back!We had a delicious Easter brunch here and were so pleasantly greeted by the host who also became our waiter. Should have gotten his name because he was so good--has an authentic Italian accent and is newly moved to SF from Venice. Also, he knows the wine list very well. Italian wines are making a wonderful debut away from the old chianti days. We had the most delicious mimosas also--with real OJ and high quality champagne, which was served separately so we could mix our own.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMA great pleasure- food isA great pleasure- food is terrific and service very friendly-3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are so happy that FiorWe are so happy that Fior D'Italia is back in business. But looking forward to a weekend dinner to see how quiet it really is with more people. And the bar looks very inviting.
