  • "If you want to eat in the park this is a decent choice. The meal wasn't drag out long. The Irish soda bread and apple butter is fun. I don't drink so I can't comment on the beer selection but other patrons said they really enjoy it. The food is pub fare. So lots of fried food but there are some healthier dishes. Unfortunately the corned beef was not to my husband's liking. But the fish and chips were delicious, salmon tasty. Burger was basic restaurant burger so safe bet. The desserts were small little cups which was perfect for our kids. Mainly sitting in ac and resting the feet was the best and we didn't have to wait for our table thanks to the open table reservation. Service was good and swift. "

  • "This is our 3rd visit to Finnegan's here at Universal Studios Orlando. Once again the service was excellent and the food enjoyable."

  • "We had a very pleasant lunch...nice change of pace from theme park food. Server was very good. Would recommend."

  • "After reading reviews of how good the food and service were for a theme park, we made reservations which were not necessary as the place was fairly empty. Food was just okay. Not that hot, but warm. Had the Kilkenny Pot Pie which did not have the "flaky" crust as advertised. My friend had a salad which he said was good. Would probably not return. We do have annual passes and spend time in the parks. Dining in the park is considered a treat. Not here."

  • "The food was good had the Rueben, the appetizer of fried onions and potato was to die for. Daughter had ham burger it was a little under cooked for her. The only two things I would complain about are the fries that came with the meal had better and the service was poor. After we got our meal she never checked back on us we need BBQ sauce and by the time she came to the table we where done eating."

  • "Loved the ease of making the reservation on my cell phone. Actually scheduled dinner for 5:15 pm which turned out to be perfect as the parade just ended and we were right outside the door after watching the parade. Looks authentic but very disappointed had zero Irish Music nor dancers as the Downtown Disney irish pub does. Food was great, ease of getting our table was great but just didn't feel authentic for us. They really need to focus on making this an irish pub by incorporating music and atmosphere. Other than those two things great restaurant."

  • "Love the place, excellent food, good live music and the beer was perfect!"

  • "Even though we made reservations, we didn't get serviced by anyone right away. The manager finally came after 10 mins and took our drink and food order. Still no sign of waitress. Bread was delivered and was good. We had to flag someone down for drink refills. When our dinner came, the food was really good. But again still no sign of waitress. Wasn't until the check was delivered that we finally saw her. Took our payment, but was about 5-7 minutes before we got our card back. Summary - horrible service, but good food."

  • "Very food allergy friendly. The chef spoke to my child at length, and together, they decided what my son's dining options were. The chef sat at our table for five minutes speaking mainly to my food allergic child. It made my child feel great. It made him feel safe. thank you so much!"

  • "This was our 3rd table service restaurant during our stay at Universal Orlando. It must of been a low day because the park was not crowded and we really didn't need our reservation. This was our first reservation for supper and apparently it was because Finnegan's stays open later than some other table service restaurants. There was hardly anyone in the place so our server was able to give us very personal service. There was live music, but the sound level was still fairly low. The prices were very reasonable for being in a theme park. The food was very good. I would definitely recommend Finnegan's."

  • "Before we sat at our table, we decided to head to the bar while our table was cleaned off. The bartender was extremely kind and made sure we were happy with our drinks! Once we sat at our table a we ordered and we helped by an excellent waitress. Be sure to try some of their specialty drinks that they have named after some of the attractions in the park! Great service and great food, what more could you ask for?"

  • "We were really looking forward to this place, but it was just another theme park restaurant. The only thing that didn't taste overly processed was the Harp. 4 different meals all tasted either bland or just downright bad (kids burger). Again disappointing given the amount you're paying here. The location and ambiance are great, but the food has a long way to go"

  • "We've eaten here a few times while visiting Universal. It's a nice alternative to park food and is reasonably priced; large portions as well. It's also a great place to grab a beer and rest!"

  • "Finnegan's is a great spot to take a break from the fun and recharge. The food is good and the beer is cold. Great Irish fare. The shepherds pie is delish and the corned beef sand as well. It is a scheduled stop for us every time we visit Universal Studios Orlando."

  • "My spouse & I discovered Finnegan's on a long-ago visit to Universal, Orlando. We thoroughly enjoyed the food & visit & have reminisced about our experience ever since. We hoped to return & finally got the chance! This time we included friends (our adult children). Once again, a terrific time! Especially had fun with the beer cocktail sampler! A wonderful accompaniment to the meal! Thanks to Finnegan's & our server, Jamie for more happy memories!!!"

  • "We were ready to sit down and relax at 5:30pm. An Irish musician played music in the bar and set the tone for a great meal. My finicky son stated, "This is one of the best meals I have ever had!" Everyone enjoyed their meals, and we really enjoyed our server (Stan from Michigan). We are all originally from Ohio, so we had a bit of fun with him. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, who likes Irish music and cuisine! This was our favorite meal during our stay. We enjoyed it more than Mythos!"

  • "We have visited Finnegan's for almost twelve years and have been loyal guests. However, We booked the reservation on St. Patrick's Day thinking there would be a festive atmosphere but there was no excitement for the occasion. This alone was disappointing, but we could have overlooked it if our waitress had been polite, efficient,or caring. Her demeanor was that we were a bother to her. The manager had to get our drink refills, she never came back to ask us, she never asked about our meal, and we had to locate another waitress just to get our bill paid. It wasn't busy so there was no reason for this. I've waited tables and I've had bad days too, but I've never taken it out on a guest."

  • "Overall decent spot for a quick bite and cold drink. Unfortunately, way too crowded, bathroom has long wait (as it is used by everyone in the park as well and I actually heard park staff directly people to go there several times), service was very spotty and patrons hanging out on rail are DIRECTLY on top of diners seated at tables."

  • "Our food was very tasty once it arrived; the main problem was that it took quite a bit longer to get our food than I had expected. The potato and leek soup was delicious. My husband was very happy to see Strongbow hard cider on tap--that made the meal for him."

  • "Tasteless bland food. It was over priced and the service was SLOW. We were not there on a busy day so there was no reason for bad service. I ordered corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef tasted like ham. It was horrible."

  • "We waited over 45 mins for our food on Sat night. There were tables that sat after us and were served food first and our waitress was MIA the whole time while we waited. Once our food finally came we asked her what took so long and she said there was a prob in the kitchen and not all the tickets were being printed so they didn't get our order. I thought it very rude that neither she nor a manager came to our table at anytime to let us know of the delay or problem and nothing was offered to us for this issue...like a discount or free dessert or round of drinks or even an apology."

  • "I was surprised that the restaurant was not very busy. We visited last year and it was packed. For not being busy the service appeared to be confused trying to serve us the wrong appetizer. They didn't realize the problem till I complained when the entrée showed. The Server was nice enough to try to compensate us with a free desert. Just shows that even with the best computer system it still comes down to paying attention or not to the customer experience."

  • "We loved the food. Reasonably priced. Good service. We would go back. We had the seafood pie which is cod, shrimp and haddock covered with potatoes. That came with root cellar veggies. Cabbage, carrots and turnips. Very good."

  • "Had eaten at Finnegan's in February 2013 with our family and had a wonderful time. This time, however, was a much different experience. Arrived at 2 PM for reservation and were told it would be 20 minutes. We were paged 15 minutes later only to have the hostess state the table was "just taken" and we'd have to wait for 10 more minutes. After finally getting seated, we were greeted with a server who seemed that she didn't want to be there. She was very short with us and slammed out drinks on the table. She also failed to bring us our table setting and appetizer plates which another waitress was willing to do. Our waitress blamed the bus staff - very professional! Food was fair at best. Overall, not the place remembered and not recommended."

  • "When in the parks at Universal Studios, food here offered a nice change of pace for not much more than you pay at the counter service stands. Friendly service (little slow, but we found all restaurants at Universal to be a little slow). Moderate prices -- same as you would pay at your local Irish-themed chain (ie: The Pub). Authentic fare. Liked much better than Mythos as far as quality of food and value."

  • "Finnegan's used to be a great place for a sit down restaurant at Universal. What happened??? The food was rushed and horrible, as well as the service being sub-par to McDonalds. I cant remember the name of the item I ate, but is was basically a Rueben on a pretzel roll. Sounds yummy? That's what I thought. It was dry and chewy. This came after eating our appetizers with our hands off of a napkin while we patiently waited to see our waitress again to bring plates and silverware. The appetizers, which came highly recommended by our server, was onion straws mixed with potatoes. It sounded great, but was a greasy pile of potatoes which resembled hash browns at the local greasy spoon. Save your money, and eat at a real place in City Walk."

  • "It had a great selection of food that was more Irish than usual American bars/pubs that say they are Irish have. The service was outstanding. The bar part was very loud, but in a festive 'everyone has been drinking and is merry' kind of way, so if you are looking for a quieter place, this is not it. If you do like the neighborhood pub feel with great service and want to be loud with your buddies, this would definitely be the place. And the food is outstanding as well! We had the potato and onion web, cornish pasties and the corned beef and cabbage. Also the bartenders were awesome and everything they made was great. I would definitely go again and recommend it to others."

  • "My husband keeps raving about the split pea soup! We had a great meal and enjoyed the live music! My son especially enjoyed the make your own sundae! A nice twist on dessert! Everyone that we encountered that worked there was friendly and happy. For some reason, I think we were seated outside of our waitress' regular section, so it seemed that the food took a little longer, but with good food and a good atmosphere, hard to get upset by that! We almost made it back o. This trip, but didn't have time. Will definitely return on our next trip!"

  • "A little busy and harried, but good solid American/Irish fare. The best place to sit is the bar area - more like a genuine Irish pub there than in the main dining area."

  • "There's not much to say about this place. Worse than mediocre food, lazy service, careless decorating...I usually write thougtful long reviews, but that about sums it up here. You've got at least 20 better options while at Universal."

  • "Food was mediocre at best and service was horrible. Don't waste your money. We were a party of 6 so auto gratuity was added. We had to use our own water bottles at the table b/c our glasses were never refilled. Only saw waitress when time for check. Hamburger was average, dont think that can be messed up too much. Chicken pot pie was gross with strange tasting sauce and one mushroom in the entire thing. Shepherds pie tasted like taco meat. Ruben was just okay, edible just not good. Kid's cod was not eaten or enjoyed."
