A word from Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails
Finch & Fork is a Modern American Bar and Grill centrally located on the corner of Carrillo and Chapala streets in the heart of Santa Barbara’s vibrant downtown. Chef James Siao draws inspiration from the vibrant local ingredients located in the area including local fishers, farmers and ranchers to craft an ingredient driven menu of delectable social plates and soul satisfying larger plates all meant to be served with artisanal wines, craft cocktails and great beers in the warm embrace of our convivial bar and dining room.

Finch & Fork’s bar program focuses on cocktails that are fresh, light and approachable. Santa Barbara’s most forward thinking mixologists; work their magic on clear spirit classics like the Moscow Mule and Bramble but also pay homage to the whisky classics like the Manhattan and Build Your Own Smash- you name the fresh fruit, the spirit and we build it in a mason jar at your table.

  • "Nice menu, well executed. Really liked the deviled egg appetizer with bits of smoked trout and my wife loved her pasta with pork ragu. Our waiter really wasn't cut out for that line of work as he forgot and confused requests, gave bad information and then pretty much disappeared on a not-so-busy Monday night. But then there seems to be a trend of rotating servers as whoever has nothing better to do brings your food, clears your plate, etc."

The cauliflower with capers was cooked to perfection and the corn taken off the cob was bursting with flavor. The beet salad was pretty to look at and very tasty. Fish tacos were ho hum and not that special. Overall the meal was great and we would highly recommend."

One thing that appealed to us was they took reservations and we did not want to chance not eating or having to wait, cutting into the time we had to be at the wedding. We enjoyed a very nice brunch, the service was just right, and it was a relaxing moment before the start of a long-busy-emotional afternoon/evening with family. Its located in an upscale hotel which is interesting as well. Overall, a great dining experience."

Our server was prompt and friendly. He misheard my husband's drink order, but he was extremely professional and promptly corrected the mistake. We both enjoy the atmosphere here with its high ceilings and historic architecture. It's one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara."

  • "One of the hardest things at the restaurant was choosing what to eat. There were a lot of fun sounding tastes and combinations I wanted to try. Ultimately settled on the ribs that literally fell off the bone. The glaze and mushrooms on them was delicious! The only thing I didn't like on the plate was the grits. A nice potato would have gone better with it. As for cocktails, the simple and straightforward Tommy's margarita was perfect."

  • "Had a family brunch here to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday and the restaurant and staff were fantastic - the food was really good (Kale salad excellent, great Bloody Mary bar), the service was really outstanding and it was overall just an excellent experience. We came back that evening for drinks at the bar when our table at another restaurant wasn't ready yet, and the bar scene was so fun! Bartenders are really friendly and so quick to serve - I will look forward to coming back to this restaurant for any occasion! Very impressed with the wait staff!"

  • "I was racking my brain for a nice lunch location to host a professional book club meeting for 10 when someone recommended Finch & Fork. The group LOVED the location and the food so we will definitely go there again. The service was excellent until the very end, it took a long time for the check but maybe they thought we were just hanging around? Had the back room been filled conversation would have been challenging due to the noise level, but only one other table was sat near us. Overall, I definitely recommend (I've also been here for dinner and it was delicious)."

  • "I went to the F&F this past Sunday for brunch, and added on the bottomless mimosas. The food was absolutely amazing. The menu is semi-seasonal as the chef likes to choose dishes he can make from the most fresh, local ingredients, and you can tell he puts his heart into every dish. The wait staff isn't too stingy with the mimosas either! The restaurant is in on the first floor of the canary hotel, so you have to go downstairs for a restroom. There is valet parking just past the entrance on w Carrillo Street, and the F&F does validate. All in all, a great Sunday brunch!"

We also ordered the prosciutto flatbread, mac and cheese, and pork cheek gnocchi. The pork cheek gnocchi was amazing! !! "

  • "Went on a Friday night, seated in bar area, pretty vibrant bar scene, had a delicious Moscow Mule, served in the traditional copper mug...we went after viewing the movie CHEF, so we were really hungry for a CUBAN sandwich; no luck; so we shared the baby back ribs & Mac & cheese...both were very good...but can't get that Cuban sandwich out of my mind...guess we'll have to take a trip to Miami!!!!"

We were here for weekend brunch and it was a very nice experience from the greeting to the service throughout the meal to the wonderful food served. While the choices are somewhat limited, there is something wonderful on the menu for everyone. Our waiter was wonderful and made the experience a memorable one.   • "We had brunch and we won't be back soon. The Asparagus and Crab was good, but had one small lump of crab and for the price the portion was tiny. It was mostly bread. The chips in the huevos rancheros were stale. I don't think they were old, more like they had sat with the moist ingredients too ling before being brought out. The coffee was good and they brought cream, but no sugar then disappeared. I tracked down a bus boy for the sugar and there was one packet in the jar so I had to ask for more immediately. This is Denny's level service. "

  • "Finch & Fork has a fantastic Happy Hour menu. Great drinks and great food, and unbeatable prices. I am a self proclaimed french fry connoisseur, and have tried french fries all over town. Finch and Fork, with out a doubt has THE BEST french fries. They are consistent with the perfect balance of fry to potato, they have a light garlic flavor that is infused into the oil, and they come with a bomb jalapeno aoli sauce. The rest of the food is yummy too, but happy hour is where its at!"
