  • "Went there as a part of 2014 restaurant week. Was not disappointed with food. Had crab stuffed salmon, crab mac & cheese, asparagus, and creme brulee. Everything was delicious with healthy portions. Server was friendly but I felt he was trying hard to be personable and wasn't genuine in his friendliness. Everyone in the party had a wonderful time. Will go there again"

  • "My wife and I travel much and eat most our meals at good restaurants. It was a wonderful dining experience for both my wife and I. The service was as good as it gets. The food was excellent both in quality and quantity. The just baked rolls and bread sticks were a treat. The view of the ocean would have been great; however, a bar holding up the lights or screening obstructed our view of the waves rolling in on the beach. The menu provided excellent selections but was a bit pricey as you would expect My wife ordered a salad and I was going to order a cup of soup, the waitress suggested just splitting a salad because the portions are large. She was right. Since we have a shore home, we plan on returning to this fine restaurant again. "

  • "I thought the food was good, the service was better than good, and the experience as a whole was good. I was expecting a little more variety of fish. The crowd was a little older than I expected for a Saturday night. Had to walk through a crowded casino floor to use the restroom which was kind of lame. But beyond that I don't have any other complaints. Good experience. Did not "Wow" me enough to come back again."

  • "Made reservations well in advance, asking for a "special" table for 2 as it was our 30th anniversary Got all dressed up thinking attire would be an issue at a supposed 5 star Arrived on time hostess was cold & unwelcoming got seated outside kitchen door staff work area told no other table for 2 Saw couples sit at window at tables for 4 Saw couples sit at bench upholstered seats for 4~6 All which were empty at our arrival 1 couple in jeans & baseball cap another in dirty sweatshirt Waiter knocked over a chair ignored it Maitre'de righted it 10 mins later wait staff had ignored it for that long Food was good but not good enough to make me want to go back Our waiters were the only bright spot"

  • "Fin continues to provide beautifully constructed fish and seafood items, and lovely appetizers of the salad and seafood variety. For example, the swordfish was so succulent and cooked to perfection, with mini Mediterranean veggies and a light yogurt sauce -- it was a wow. I had a mix of east and west coast oysters which were so high quality. If you want a salad, the chilled iceberg wedge is fully in the present, yet a classic retro item. More recently, the crab cakes remoulade turned out to be a grand treat. There is also a sushi and raw bar menu which typically is served in the less formal bar, and the sashimi was oh so fresh. The service is attentive, very competent, with pleasant affect. I was here two nights in a row."

  • "Went with my my girlfriend for a nice romantic dinner. Not disappointed. Food and service were excellent. Went in march so it was cold out but had nice view of ocean from our table."

  • "The Chilean Sea Bass was excellent, along with the service for our party of 6."

  • "The food at the Fin Restaurant is exceptional. Service is formal but friendly. Prices for entrees begin in the $30.00 and up. Sides are a la carte. We decided to order a number of appetizers instead of an entree this time, which included the Blue Crab Filo Pouch, Clams Casino, Calamari, Seafood Salad, and a side of Creamed Parmesan Spinach with Artichokes. Everything was delicious. My personal favorite was the Seafood Salad. (If you have leftovers and staying at the hotel don't forget to ask for plastic utensils.) Make reservations earlier in the week, since it is difficult to find a table on the weekends."

  • "Food was delicious not only was the seafood on point but half our party ordered steaks and they were all cooked perfectly, tender and great flavor.... The manger knew we had a birthday at the table and made sure the night was special....will defiantly return and tell many friends about this place..."

  • "It took several minutes (about 10) for the check-in staff (2 of them) to acknowledge us (we were standing directly in front of the desk) followed by a not-so-pleasant greeting. Once seated the servers were attentive but everything seemed hurried. The greeting set the tone for the entire experience."

  • "It took a long time to get service, then the food food took forever to reach our table. When our meal finally arrived, it was just "OK", not great. They meal were also over priced for small portions."

  • "We tried Fin for Restaurant week & I'm glad we did, I would not want to pay full price for that experience. We waited for 20 min beyond our reservation to be seated. We saw several people tip the maitre'd, so maybe that was why we didn't have good service. We were not offered the regular menu or a wine list. I would have liked to order an appetizer that I saw even if I had to pay extra. The waitress attempted to serve us someone else's food and we waited a long time for our food... when it finally arrived the steak looked nothing like the steak that my husband and ordered and the waitress could not explain the difference. The crab cakes were overcooked and the steak that my husband had was dry. We will not recommend or return."

  • "Enjoyed my dinner at the Fin. My only negative comment was that the service left a great deal to be desired. HOWEVER, it was quite obvious that there was an indequate number of servers on duty given the large number of diners."

  • "We go to this restaurant all the time. It's our favorite place to eat in Atlantic City. Nothing comes close to the food, service and can't wait to eat there attitude."

  • "It took us forever to find the restaurant. The Tropicana is poorly laid out and you weave your way through a maze of shops the casino until you find the Fin. The man and woman at the hostess desk were completely disinterested. Too busy telling a joke between themselves and seemed annoyed to have to stop and seat us. We were seated at a table by the window but there was a wall unit air conditioner blowing a wind directly up at us. We wanted to use the rest rooms. NO REST ROOMS at this restaurant. You are told the restrooms are "out in the casino" and to "take two lefts" to find them. Good luck! You will never find them and no one at the Fin will help you. We left. Too many other places to eat in Atlantic City."

  • "I made reservations for my birthday celebration and Fin made me feel like a QUEEN! Not only was the food and wine delicious, the service was A1. Our waiter, Cheech was such a gentleman and he knew how to entertain us. The decor of the restaurant was fabulous and my party had out own secluded area. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! This was my first time dining at Fin and it definitely won't be my last!!"

  • "Went here for Restaurant Week. My Lobster Bisque was good. The bowl was filled up to the rim with a creamy blend of lobster flavor broth and some small bits of lobster. Portion was generous. My Crab Cakes were good as well...2 nice sized crab cakes with a good texture & taste. The asparagus that came with it was good. The mashed potatoes could have been hotter. They were just OK. My Lemon Cheesecake was good too. Overall I had a good dinner here."

  • "What a beautiful place! Fin has so much ambience. The scenic view is breathtaking. The menu had so many appetizing entrees ,appetizers, and desserts that it was difficult to make a decision. The only answer is to go back and try things that you have missed. I will certainly rerturn to Fin. How exciting! What a great place to be! It was a wonderful evening!"

  • "Our group of 6 was concerned going in because we had set a reservation, arrived early, and didn't get seated until later. Understandable since it's restaurant week, but just say that instead of delaying the estimated time by 10 minutes every 10 minutes. That aside, food was fantastic. Our waitress, Marisol, was fun, energetic, helpful and social with our group. She, coupled with the good food, created an overall great dining experience."

  • "Overall our dining experience was wonderful. However, was a little disappointed that even though our reservations were made 2 weeks in advance, with a special request for a booth (which was confirmed via telephone), we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated and was seated in the middle of the restaurant."

  • "The atmosphere/ decor was lovely. The food selection ( restaurant week ) was good. Service needed improvement- . from the hostess stand to wait staff. VERY disappointed that I called weeks in advance to notify about the birthday celebration ( and to display recognition thru sparkle/ candle....) and celebration went un- noticed.. I even reminded the waiter that is was my girlfriends birthday."

  • "Very pretty restaurant with a lovely veiw of the ocean !! Food was good but not spectacular, crab cakes were full of crab but overcooked as was my filet mignon, I ordered medium and was just slightly pink. However, the creme brulee' was awesome !!"

  • "Even though our dinner was delicious and service excellent, the evening started off on a bad note. We had 7:00 reservations. When we arrived, there was a line simply to check in. We arrived at promptly 7:00 and had to wait 15 minutes in a line before telling the maitre'd our name. That was extremely annoying that were were not enough people in the front to handle this. It was obvious to us that some customers were "friends of the maitre'd" and they walked to the front of the same line we were in, and were seated immediately."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "The food was delicious and the atmosphere was romantic. My only issue is that the restaurant was over booked and the staff did not seem prepared for it. The host/hostess did not have an organized system for checking people in and seemed overwhelmed."

  • "The food was great. I didn't like waiting in line for one half hour after I made a reservation for a specific time but the food and presentation made up for it."
    Dined on 3/6/2014
  • "The decorations fit the name. The food was the best. The waiter needs to watch his tie. I had to move my water glass as he was taking our order because he was leaning over the table and the tip almost touched the water. Then he grabbed the glass by the top rim and moved it. Eww...don't touch someone's glass there when they have to drink from it. Other then that wait staff was polite and friendly and we didn't seem rushed."
