  • "Bianca, our server for the evening, was professional, knowledgeable, and a delight. She anticipated our needs and made wonderful recommendations for my wife's and my 5 year wedding anniversary. The cuisine, part of their new 5 course option, was fantastic. It was organized well for the pallet, came out exactly when it should, and delicious beyond belief. The Tuna Tartar with saracha iced cream was to die for. The pricing was appropriate for what we expected and the menu was pricey, but quality was beyond good. We will definitely return."

  • "This was a return visit to FIN. Upon arrival we were greeted and taken to our table. We like FIN as it has new dishes to try. As an appetizer we shared an Oysters Rockefeller, which was cooked to perfection for me, but a little undercooked for my wife. Our entrees were scallops for my wife and crab cakes for me. Both were superb. All this was topped of with a bottle of a Sauvignon Blanc, which was just right for our meals. The service was excellent. We look forward to a return visit."

  • "My family and I love Fin! Chef Kenny is a master of his craft! The tuna tartare with sirache ice cream is truly unique and a tasty treat! I normally order seafood but, in a beef mood, got braised short rib instead. I don't regret my decision at all. Every dish was complete in presentation, flavor, and inspiration, from the main item down to the pureé! The scallops were huge and cooked perfectly. The pecan crusted salmon was delicious. All dishes and desserts were exceptional! We will certainly continue visiting Fin!"

  • "Entertained a client there on a Monday night. Main room was about 1/2 full. Attention of our server was outstanding and his recommendations were just right. I had salmon and others had scallops. Both were perfection. Salads were excellent as well. "Doughnuts and coffee" for dessert was fun. Only negative was a noisy party at table next to us. Otherwise the ambiance was just right. Will definitely return."

With a two well reservation I would have thought to be placed in a better table location. That was the only flaw of the night."

  • "Everything about dinner was great, however when we first got there I was worried because the "host" was at the host stand with his back to us, talking on the phone in what was clearly a personal call. He did not acknowledge us whatsoever. We stood there for several minutes with no acknowledgement from him. Finally a waitress came and sat us. Not a great first impression. .."

  • "Second time we went to Fin, and still impressed. My wife had the tasting menu which is an absolute bargain, particularly considering the portion size for 5 courses. It was way too much for her to eat so I benefited. The wine list has some neat and differenct varietals and makers, and is reasonably priced. If this place were in my neighborhood, I'd be a regular."

The food was outstanding from our appetizers through dessert. The seafood was fresh and everything was made from scratch, no canned or frozen ingredients here!   • "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We were able to make a reservation 2 days before for the time slot we wanted, and were even accomodated with a last minute change due to traffic issues. When we arrived, we were immediately seated at a table that provided a great view of the open kitchen. Despite the upper-tier (almost fancy) cuisine, the atmosphere was very casual, from the casual yet elegant decorations to the perfect lighting. Our waiter immediately took our order. We ordered the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairing, which was EXCELLENT!!! Our waiter was very knowledgable of the menu and fully explained all of the components of each course. Great customer service, and amazing food, we look forward to going back."

The risotto with the duck confit was particularly good. The wine pairings complemented the courses well. A nice experience overall. I'll be going it again."

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for the first time the other night for dinner and boy was it good! This place is great to go on a date or have a business meeting, but I would not recommend taking children . The food looked like the caliber you would find in any great restaurant or on top chef, and it tasted incredible, too! The wine list is outstanding. For me, this is a special occasion restaurant, just because it is a little pricey compared to what I typically spend. The atmosphere was fun and fits the bill if you're looking for a romantic, yet comfortable and relaxed place to eat. Overall, it was a wonderful night!! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Fortunately for us, we were able to obtain a last minute reservation for a party of six during the holidays, a feat in itself. Our friends have two young daughters, who were both quite kindly accommodated and offered wrapped presents. The food was a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach - I enjoy presentation nearly as much as I enjoy the food, and this was beautiful. The intimate dining room means that you won't be competing with a room full of others to be heard. We especially enjoyed the open kitchen area which allowed us to observe the chef at work. Bravo!"

I was impressed with the upscale service and food well above what I have come to expect from many of the seafood restaurants in Hampton Roads. It with worth a trip from the oceanfront to visit this restaurant which gets fine dining right! I have no complaints whatsoever and can't wait for my next trip."

  • "The ambiance, the service, the food, all was excellent. The Shea crab soup, mahi with pesto/ spinach orzo and banana bread pudding were fantastic. The three other people in my party were also very pleased with their choices. Would go back without a doubt and certainly would recommend it. We were there for lunch and had the 3-course lunch for $15. Which I found to be extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food. I'm a vet picky eater and this place met and surpassed expectations. Did I also say that I love the way the place is decorated? The service was also very good."
