I cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant. Sergio, our waiter, was phenominal. He was very attentive and gave great recommendations. From start to end, each course just got better. We started with Arancini, then had Caesar and Burrata Mozzarella Di Caprese. The ricotta and mozzarella on the Caprese was excellent. I had Fusilli alla Pesto and my husband had La Familia, both outstanding. I had the award winning Strawberry Shortcake for dessert, which I definitely recommend. Needless to say, I was in pain from all the excellent food I devoured, but it was worth it. It looked interesting and we were looking for a place to celebrate my son's brithday while we were visiting D.C. This turned out to be a wonderful experience. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the complimentary after dinner drinks were a lovely surprise. Everyone was friendly and cooperative in satisfying my grandchildren's picky palates. The Pasta Mama's were hard at work then and they remain hard at work as you walk in the entrance. Amazingly they have not aged a day. Dinner this week was once again was just as delicious as it has been each time I have visitied over the last 29 years. As a group of 5 we ordered different dishes and everyone was delighted with their meals but only one emerged with room for dessert as dinner portions are not skimpy. I asked about an old favorite that is no longer on the menu and was pleasantly surprised when the waiter said he would be glad to have it prepared for me, no problem.

Our reservation was for 4 o'clock and as we walked in a few minutes early it was obvious they were running behind. The main host was very pretentious and only responded to an aggressively rude gentlemen that demanded to be called "Dr." when he was addressed. Not only did his party of three get seated before us, he also got the window he repeatedly said he should get. So, I guess the moral with the host is to be as inconsiderate as them and they'll reward you. As for the food and waitstaff, it was amazing. Great servers, amazing food.
