Diner Reviews
  • "Went with a groupon deal and had an amazing set of crostini as well as bronzini (possibly my favorite fish) and lamb chops. Everything was cooked to perfection."

  • "The restaurant is very attractive, the staff were all very friendly, our waiter was great. The menu looked so appealing I wanted all the appetizers, small plates and crostini. All the food was good but missed a little when it was all put together. My husband and I both had the fig glazed Branzino, the fish itself was delicious but the glaze was too sweet and heavy and the figs around the plate were flavorless. The rest of the dish was boring, steamed snow peas and dense mashed potatoes. Our crostini were all tasty except the toasted bread was too light and airy to hold up to some of the assertive flavors. This place is not cheap and I found something not right with everything we ate so I do not think I would eat dinner here again."

  • "Had brunch the day after 4th of July. There were very few people in the restaurant, but I imagine everyone was at the beach. Food was definitely better than we expected. Service was quite good as well. Sat outside which was perfect. Will definitely check this place out for dinner."

  • "Never disappoints! Food, service, wine list, desserts, are always great. We eat here quite often and love it."

  • " A terrific dinner ... delicious food ... excellent, friendly service. We LOVED it."

  • "Our vegetarian and gluten-free diners both found many appealing choices. The service was attentive to our special needs, and each dish was nicely prepared. Favorites were mushroom risotto, squash ravioli and paella. Noise level was the only problem."

  • "The food was pretty good, their signatures drinks were great. Our server took a while to get back to our table between courses, but if you dine outside on a Sunday night in the summer, beware of the car show in the parking lot next to you, all you hear is the concert, an MC, and car exhausts."

  • "We used a groupon - their drink & appetizer/small plate selection is great. Service was great, nice location & they have outdoor seating. Good for a quiet dinner or a later evening of drinks & snacks."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "Fig and Olive is a delicious restaurant, offering Mediterranean food, seafood and steak and chops. THe groupon afforded us the opportunity to try several different appetizers and the filet mignon and lamb chops and delicious desserts. Food was very tasty and we were all very happy with our selections. You can't go wrong at fig and olive. I would recommend it highly."

  • "We had an 8:30 reservation and got the last table in the house, next to the kitchen. We waited 10 minutes for anyone to approach us and it was just to pour water. 30 minutes after we sat down, the waiter took our wine order and we made him take our food order, too. The first course cheese plate arrived, but we waited another 10 minutes for the wine. The waiter left before we could tell him that I got the wrong wine; another 10 minutes for the correct wine to arrive. At this point it was after 9:30, the din was terrific, and we were too tired to eat. The mushroom fritters were heavy; the tuna carpaccio had an off taste, no one refilled the water or asked us if everything was okay. The restaurant cannot handle a full house."

  • "I love Fig & Olive! The menu is varied and everything is always delicious, as well as being beautifully presented. The staff is consistently friendly & helpful, without exception, and I have gone to Fig & Olive many, many times for lunch & dinner. I enjoy so many of the menu choices, it never gets old. They are very creative with many of their dishes. I will say it is a bit pricey, but they do try to keep the prices reasonable as they are aware of this. But you DO get what you pay for at Fig & Olive! A must try!!!!"

  • "I will not go back to this restaurant. We were served the wrong salad AND the wrong appetizer on a very quiet night. The entree portion was small. The meal was expensive."

  • "The food and service were great. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "I dined at Fig & Olive recently and had an exceptional time. The food was delicious - my boyfriend and I shared the assorted crostini and then Chilean Sea Bass and Filet Mignon- perfection! We started with cocktails (I had the summer in provence) and then switched over to red wine. The selection for both were great! We ended a perfect meal with a chocolate souffle and left feeling 100% satisfied. We can't wait to go back!!!"

  • "Awesome service! We had appetizers that were really delicious. The scallops and the puff pastry with prosciutto! For Dinner we the lobster risotto and the fettuccine with mascarpone!!! All very delicious fresh and cooked to perfection!!!"

  • "I give my last experience a 10 out of 10. Really can't say more about how great the food and service was when I was there. For that, I'll be returning!"

  • "Enjoyed our visit to Fig and Olive. Well presented meals. Fabulous flavor. I had the lamb, my husband the steak. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. We can only give high marks for presentation, quality and service. Thank you for a great dining experience."

  • "Food portions were small. People were complaining around us about raw meat! No lobster in the lobster risotto and waiting an hour for the food to come to the table. My portion of branzino was the smallest 3 bite size pieces I've ever seen for dinner. That said , my wife was happy with her choice of mushroom risotto. The bread and severd on the table was bite size pieces. On a positive note - If you go there for drinks then you may be happy. If you use a groupon be careful since you get to order your entree based on the "value" of the groupon. For example, the entree is good for $36 so you can't order the Chilean Seabass since that is $37 without surcharge. This is designed for folks to get a city experience in the burbs. "

  • "I like this one more than the fifth Ave restaurant. Service made the food taste better. The apps and crostini are fabulous. The portion sizes of the entrees were not comparable to each other or price, but I would come back and have apps and dessert. Also, the cocktails were delicious. Typically when the food is good, the cocktails suffer, but definitely not the case here. "

  • "We had an 8:00 pm reservation and were seated immediately. When the restaurant is more than half full the noise level is a bit higher than we would have liked. Food and service were generally excellent, but there were some minor problems. At least two of the items on the menu were not available (perhaps because it was so late in the evening, but our waiter was very helpful in this regard. Also we were somewhat reluctant to order the souffle since usually it takes a while to prepared. The waiter said that actually it needed only to be put into the oven so we gave it a try. Unfortunately that was a less than great decision. The souffle was not nearly as light as it should have been. Aside from this everything else was fine. "

  • "From the amuse bouche of three olive oils with accompanying bread to the chocolate souffle and pot de creme and everything in between was splendid. Attention was paid to taste, texture, quality, innovation, and ambience. Service was efficient and knowledgeable. The restaurant was a quality place without the pretentiousness that often accompanies it. "

  • "We had such a lovely time and the waiter was amazing. Very polite and he always came back to ask us if we were ok and apologized that they were a bit busy and it took a little time for our drinks and appetizers. but it was great. we will be returning!!!!"

  • "Tried it because of a Groupon. Food was generally good but overpriced. Seating was too tight, lighting was too dim to read the menu easily and noise level was very high (exacerbated by poor music choices). Chocolate soufflé cake was very good, and cocktails were interesting."

  • "We had a great Mother's Day Brunch at Fig & Olive in Westchester. Interesting brunch menu and good service. There were a number of tables with children but the noise level was fine. We did not eat outside but they have a nice outdoor space. Big plus, they have lots of rosemary plants around the restaurant so the place smelled great. We will go back and try dinner."

  • "Our party of four shared two appetizers , had our own main course and shared two desserts. We learned that based on the size of the items we shared, this was a mistake. The quantities were too small. My branzino was delicious but there was very little on the plate. My friends who chose meat items were more satisfied with the quantity given. The main problem with this restaurant is the courteous but slow service. Whether ordering our drinks, meal or the check, we waited for too long for our server. The wait in between courses was also quite long. The restaurant was not crowded, so thus cannot be given as an excuse."
