Diner Reviews
  • "I've been to several Fig & Olive locations and you always get what you're looking for - great food and fun lively atmosphere. I was 3 for 3 with my crostinis - crab, octopus and burrata. Topped off with truffle risotto. Definitely be back!"

  • "This is my "go to" place for any occasion. Nothing short of lovely."

  • "has gotten very expensive and size of food has gotten smaller i ordered the zuccini appy and it came frozen to the plate"

  • "We thought that maybe we were "lucky" on the first try so we went for a second time and were totally impressed again! Their mushroom Tartuffe(sp) was great, AGAIN and it's worth getting again! My fiancé had a poached eggs benedict with spinach and apples (the cheese sauce was great). Not sure if I would go for the zucchini appetizer again...but it was still good! He also ordered a great drink made with a white wine spritzer. We recommend this place and no doubt, will go here again and again. I will plan to order the same dish as well! It's that good!"

  • "Good food and good service and, unlike the meatpacking version, it is quiet and pleasant and one doesn't have to yell to your dinner guests across the table due to noise. Food was delicious. Slightly pricey but I highly recommend it."

  • "Fig & Olive has an array of choices from salads to entrees. The $38 prix fix dinner was wonderful. Crab appetizer followed by the salmon entree and ending with the crostini for dessert. Another perfect meal at F&O!"

  • "The mushroom fusilli pasta dish was fantastic. No skimping on the grated Parmesan cheese. The salmon and mango salad with chicken was also very good. Great place to eat and it was well worth it. We will be back and I will be getting the pasta dish again. Too good..."

    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "just before the astonishing onslaught of MacBeth just a few blocks up, we slipped in for a pre dinner smattering of small bites. Wonderful. Especially loved the very thin apple tart topped with a dollop of ice cream."

  • "This quiet hideaway on the Upper East side has the same superb food as the other Fig and Olive locations."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "The waiter seemed to forget about us. My friend's dessert didn't arrive. We had to ask for it and we asked for the check at the same time, as we needed to leave. It took another 15 minutes to get it and pay."

  • "Fig & Olive is hands down my favorite restaurant in NYC! I've been coming here for many years and this evening finally got to show my friend everything I had been raving about. I love their prix fix dinner menu, it allows you to get a complete meal, along with desert, at a reasonable cost. My friend had the truffle risotto which she loved, very flavorful, and I tried the riviera salmon with asparagus and cauliflower puree. It was excellent! Cooked to perfection. If you are looking to try some of their cocktails I recommend the raspberry Bellini which was a great sparkling wine and their sangria. Be sure to also get their crostini's for an appetizer! "
    Dined on 5/26/2014
  • "We've been to other locations of fig & olive and loved the drinks and food, however this location does not hAve a liquor license due to zoning issues. On top of that they were out of both sangrias when we got there at 8:30 on Friday night which forces customers to buy an expensive bottle of wine if they want to drink. This is highly suspicious IMO. This location is also much smaller than the other fig & olives. I can't comment on the food because we decided to leave before ordering. "

  • "It's never bad here. I had the Tuna Provencale. This is probably my fourth time eating at F&O. Always good. Always clean flavors. "
    Dined on 5/21/2014
  • "I always come here every time I'm in NYC. It is a must! The menu has quite a variety of options to choose from and you can easily find something to your liking - it can be hard to just choose 1 dish. I recommend coming here with a group of friends so that you can share a few dishes - try all the appetizers! The service was impeccable. We were given an olive oil tasting even though they do not typically offer it during brunch. They even gave us a dessert on the house! Can't wait to come back here again :)"

  • "Delicious & healthy food with helpful & friendly service. Presentation of each dish was lovely with different shaped plates. And, of course, a wide variety of olive oils. "
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "Excellent prix fixe; good value. Very large portions. Delightful ambiance. "
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "The food was fantastic and the waitstaff attentive. Its tucked away and the atmosphere is not stuffy but classic and comfortable. The only thing thing I would remark on is that they don't chill their Red Wines? But I found this to be true all over NYC which is odd to me for the Dining snobbery NYC puts off. Great Dinner & Thank you. "
    Dined on 5/6/2014
  • "This is a very good place for either a lunch or dinner. Dinner, specifically, since they do not serve hard alcohol, the crowd is different in the evening from the crowd that you can get a an equally upbeat place that also caters to drinkers at the bar. "

  • "I love this restaurant. I am vegan and I can find wonderful options. Just love the carrot soup. I use your olive oil at home, love it. "

  • "If you're looking for a calm place with reliable small plates, soups and salads , look no further. It's a cooler, calmer, more sophisticated of Le Pain Pain Quotidian."

  • "Excellent food. Server was not very attentive although food arrived with perfect timing. "
    Dined on 4/25/2014
  • "We have been here many times. The food is always fresh and bright and wonderful. The Fig & Olive salad is great. This time I disliked our waiter so much that I under tipped, which I never do. He was obnoxious and rude. My guest asked about choosing a wine and he was not pleasant. It took forever to order and longer between courses. My guest asked for lemon for her fish - the busboy said "it will take a little while and seemed annoyed..." We had a table for 3 reserved and our last guest was stuck at work and coming later. He wanted to know when she was coming to move us to a 2 top because, "we have people waiting for a table for 4." "
