The main course was not so outstanding, but the appetizer was worth trying. The DESSERT was tiny, and really CUTE!!!! Small biscuits with strawberry had good sweet taste, and the chocolate cream was sweet as well."

  • "Came here with a friend for restaurant week and overall we loved it. Wine list is pricey, with not a bottle under $40-$50. My only gripe besides that would be the inconsistency of the portions. My friend's filet mignon was noticeably larger than my serving. What are they trying to say?? But other than that, everything was delicious and the service was fantastic!"

  • "F & O as i call it, its great for dates and i found the UES location much more intimate that others i have been to. My server was the worst i have experienced at F & O, but that's easy to say when service is usually impeccable. My petite filet mignon was a little dry, but overall the food and definitely the ambiance deserves its praise. The truffle mushrooms were AMAZING btw!"

  • "The food at Fig and Olive Uptown was great and the service is impeccable. Not once did I have to make a request that my glass be filled with water, nor call the waiter over for anything, which allowed me to fully engage in a conversation with my guest. The servings are pretty small, however I was completely filled at the end of a 3 course meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom risotto and serving of thyme infused bread with 3 different olive oils. My entire dining experience was wonderful and I would happily go again; plus the proximity to Bloomingdales makes the location priceless."

  • "My wife and I ate at Fig & Olive during restaurant week in August 2014. My lobster bisque was quite good, but the entree of filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus was only slightly better than average. The potatoes were dry and unappetizing, and the filet was not as tender as expected for that cut of meat. My wife's meal of gazpacho and salmon was very good, however. The dessert, a chocolate pot de creme, was excellent and the highlight of the meal. The service was also quite good."

  • "Friday night overcrowded not properly air conditioned place. Seats are on top of each other Very uncomfortable , NO ambiance very noisy you cannot have a normal conversation with your partner. Overpriced The service was extremely slow after one hour of sitting there we had to ask for a little bread with olive oil bc we were so hungry There is no ambiance the place was so hot that I almost fainted sitting there Food is ok but very overpriced one glass of wine is $14.00 altogether would not aggravate myself to go back"

  • "The crostini are all amazing as well as the rest of the appetizers. They have a nice modern twist on classic Italian dishes, but the thing that shines for me was the seafood options. The raviolis are great as well and hot dishes come out on hot plates which is a plus for enjoying your food hot while taking your time. The atmosphere is energetic and the long shared table and bar seats help to connect all guests and it feels as if everyone is dining together. The service is also fantastic. Overall its a great place for a memorable dinner."

  • "The food of overall good. Great ambience. Waitress was extremely attentive and quick. They pay close attention to their guests. Paella was seasoned well but the seafood was overcooked. My fault, I should have chosen another dish because I know great Paella from other countries. The dessert was fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant."

Service was very attentive and the servers knew their food. We never reached the bottom of our water glasses. I absolutely loved this place. This was upscale casual dining at its finest. The food was phenomenal. Truly one of the best meals I have ever had. Very rarely do I ever enjoy every item our party orders. We like to get different things and share. Every item was delicious. The gazpacho was creamy and succulent. The chicken tagine was so packed with flavor. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. The rosemary lamb chops were to die for. The desserts were so decadent and rich in taste."

  • "Went for restaurant week and the menu options were a really good deal (unlike many restaurants that give you food not worth the prix fixe price). Our group of 3 ordered 6 crostinis (highly recommended!). Two got the fig and olive salad that they said was good, and I got the salmon tartare which was nothing special, but good enough. Then one got the salmon which she finished, one got the lamb which he finished, and I got the risotto which was stellar. All were good. Dessert options are nothing exciting but a good ending to the meal. Overall it's a great vibe, a solid menu with something for everyone, and fantastic service. Our water was always full!"

  • "We came for restaurant week which is always hit or miss - they did a wonderful job of offering a nice selection of their menu and portion sizes were not too small which most restaurants tend to skimp on during rest. week. Everyone was very happy with their meal. We'll be back! Only reason I gave four stars was we had an 830 reservation and did not get seated until 850, we didn't mind but other diners may."

  • "I dined with two friends at a 7 pm reservation. The food was good (as always), but I was surprised by the pushiness of the waitstaff to get our order and push us along at breakneck speed. I have dined here several times before, and never felt rushed. This was new. All three of us ordered appetizers and they cleared my friends plates from the table before I finished mine - this is horribly rude and unprofessional for what is considered a well run dining establishment."

My crab and tomato appetizer was quite good, but the paella we both had (although good) was more like risotto. And chintzy: 2 shrimp and 4 mussels, one of which did not open but they served it to me anyway. Meh"
