  • "I visited this restaurant with two of my best girlfriends during NYC Restaurant Week. We had reservations, showed up on time, and still had to wait about 30 minutes before we were seated. The restaurant is extremely tiny and looks to be on the ground level of a larger building/establishment. Easy to miss in dark evening. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The service was pleasant. We were seated near the kitchen which had its pros and cons. It offered a great view, but it was very HOT. To make up for the long wait, the waiter brought over three bellinis on the house which was nice. I would recommend this place however it is very small, tight and sometimes felt cramped. Other than that, the food was amazing."

  • "Have been a few times and went early to avoid being on top of nest table, had a friend to catch up with. Ordered crostini and two carpaccios. Unfortunately all came at once, along with bread, so table was so full we divided up the crostini just to rid the plate. Would not even have ordered crostini if it weren't to be first as we chatted. Gues next time order before mains. Then they were clearing as one finished earlier...then coming for forks while we were still there...just rushing us out so.....fir a $70 lunch with not much food wish the service were on a par. The waitress was fine..it was the pacing and clearing that annoyed."

  • "I have been dining at Fig & Olive for 5 years now, every time my father comes into town for a visit dining here is a must! The food is always superb. I recommend starting off with the crostini's (Manchego is my personal favorite!). This time around we opted for their Prix-Fixe menu, I had the risotto with truffles and my dad had the chicken tajine, both were out of this world! Full of flavor and very filling. This little spot on the UES is definitely a must visit, especially if you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine."

  • "This was our last meal while in NYC this past weekend and it was fantastic! She had a panini that was superb, while I had the Spanish Cod that was outstanding. We shared a nice bottle of white wine and had some olives (of course) as an appetizer to the meal. Service was excellent and there was a lot of value for the price of our meal. Loved it and will go back next time we are in town."

  • "We went during Restaurant Week and the place was a mob scene. The tuna provencal was very very good, however, my companion had the paella and didn't like it all. The appetizers, crab cakes, carrot soup, were both very good, as was the dessert. The noise level in the restaurant was too much and the air conditioning had to be turned on because of the heat. It was freezing outside, please know. The waiter was outstanding! He allowed us time to drink our drinks and was attentive to every need. All in all, it wasn't an awful experience, however, I wouldn't go back."

Service was friendly & attentive. The carrot & thyme soup was AMAZING, as well as the Chocolate Pot de Creme. Olive Oil tasting for the table was yummy, too - just wish it came with more bread. Pricier than I'd like to normally spend, but would go back for a special occasion."

Our server brought a complimentary olive oil tasting, which was fantastic. Three different oils were presented alongside some amazingly soft bread.
