  • "This is my home away from home. And clearly I love it here as well. The staff especially the Management team always goes out of there way to accommodate your every needs. I love to come here and sit in the lounge, BTW not easy to get on the weekends. I know that you don't take reservations for the lounge tables but maybe you should change that for me ;).... Thank you for all that you do FIG!!!"

  • "I don't know if any of you have tried the brunch at Fig and Olive, but it is truly amazing. The selection that they have on their menu would satisfied any foodie. They even have a kids menu for children under 8. What a way to go! Your biggest fan"

  • "Great food, poor/slow service. Unorganized. Very noisy."

  • "food server was terrible, she repeated the order yet there was a disconnect with the chef, obviously. this mistake happened in the past visit."

  • "My salmon portion was on the small side. I would like a little larger. It came with Sauted Belgin endive. It wasn't very good. The Fig and Olive should have a special fig dish on the menue."

  • "Well this is amazing as always, Team Fig has Done it again. Don't know why there are customers that are not happy with the place. I know I always am. Till next time... See you soon."

  • "From our drinks and small plate appetizers in the bar, to our perfect patio dining on shared apps and entrees everything about this place was a delight. Although pricey, ($470/4 with 4 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine), the menu is diverse from sizes to offerings. We had Kumamoto oysters with 3 mignonettes and cocktail sauce, multiple choices of "crostini" (made on shaped thick toast vs baguettes), lobster bisque that you "reconstitute" yourself (no creams or butters- only olive oil. And adding lobster meat is an additional $6), and both the beef carpaccio and tartare. Entrees werevSea bass, Dover sole and a whole Branzino filleted tableside. Desserts are equally plentiful or as light as a taste of one with a cup of coffee. Something for all"

  • "We had brunch there with my friend on sunday and the food/drinks were delicious. Hugo, one of the managers welcomed us and made us feel at home in that trendy spot we had been told about so many times. I particularly recommend the truffle fries and the mix of deserts they offer. The drinks were very tasty as well (One of them in particular: the Summer en Provence). Great service, good food, tasty drinks and classy ambience. We'll definitely come back!"

  • "This is definitely a hot spot of Newport to hit the social scene. The food is very good, we ordered the oysters, several other dishes to sample. Fortunately as we were there to catch up on past times we were seated in the room behind the bar. Open and sunny, not so noisy. Don't think I'd go back on a Friday night but this is how Newport is on Friday nights...out to impress. Would go another time on a different day for sure. Four stars only because it was so crowded and noisy."

  • "We sat at an outside lounge seat/table. Summer cocktails were amazing! We ordered 5 appetizers and shared them. Every dish was beautiful and delicious. Dessert was fantastic too. Will definitely be spending more time there! =D"

  • "Expected the food to be better. Service was lax and a little slow. Hostess was pretty distracted and not very friendly. Interior design was great and ambience was cool but noise level was very high."
    Dined on 7/16/2014
  • "Had the Chilean Sea Bass and White Truffle Risotto- amazing! We sat in the White Room, which was nice, but extremely noisy, had to yell across the table. Also tables are so close together, the waiters backs are in your face whenever you turn to the left or right. Not a good use of space. Might be better/quieter at lunch time?"

  • "First time to this location. Love Hollywood spot, had been waiting for this to open. Love the outdoor area. Our server Isaac was very accommodating. Had a special cocktail made for me. Only improvement I would love to see is a few more appetizer choices."

  • "Hostess needs to be more pleasant and look people in the eye while a dressing them. She text me although I was seated next to hostess stand and when I approached to say I'm ready she said wait I just text you. Cocktail waitress turned into a sour puss when we asked for the bottle of wine to be transferred to our table and became passive agressive. Waiter I belive his name was Marco was pleasant and food tasted fine. The paella which they claimed was authentic was not. Rice was mushy like and over cooked risotto and there was no crust on the bottom. The taste was fine though. All items on the seafood platter were good except the lobster tail which tasted like water!!! Looks like it's was boiled 8 unseasoned water and had parted all falvor"

  • "Expensive, small portions but delicious. Beautiful decor. Very loud and echoed inside."

  • "This was our first trip to Newport Beach. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, I went looking for the good restaurants online and among the locals. I found the search depressing. Many highly rated (and expensive) places, but mostly "steak and seafood" restaurants with limited seafood selections. Then I found Fig & Olive. The few reviews (it's fairly new) were very good and the online menu was accurate, complete and showed the prices (often not the case with expensive eateries). If you like Mediterranean food (and what's not to like), Fig & Olive is excellent! We will definitely come back. Nothing negative except a bit noisy once the business groups started drinking."

  • "Food was good. Lobster bisque was oily and could have benefited from a touch of sherry. Service was spotty. We felt rushed to get the next course throughout."

  • "This is an excellent restaurant. Great food, exceptional service. Wow, it's expensive. Bring both credit cards."

  • " Great food and atmosphere. Good service. Would definitely go again. However, music was too loud. Couldn't really talk. But overall very good experience."

  • "After two disappointing visits, we decided to revisit the Fig&Olive. We are glad we did in that it was an entirely different experience. The overall service, food and attention deserves 5 stars. We will definitely return. Sergey made the evening special and I can't say enough about the delicious appetizers we enjoyed, along with our entrees, which was the Sea Bass, just delicious. We shared the fresh berry tart for dessert and it was light and refreshing. I am so glad we gave it another chance. What an enjoyable evening and such a beautiful restaurant!"

  • "This is our new go to restaurant. Not only is the food great but it's presentation is very impressive. Service was great and the waiter was very helpful. If you do go for dinner I'd warn you that the later in the night it gets the louder the music from the bar gets. So if you're looking for a quiet spot this may not be the place for you, but for lunch it's perfect."

  • "Music was distratcing for diners but appropriate for the bar crowd"

  • "Fresh real food at its finest! Top quality ingredients result in delicious, unique and beautifully presented dishes. Ambiance and service is also excellent. Would definitely return."

  • "While this restaurant was beautifully done...it was way too big for me. Too many people...too much going on. A place to be seen, I guess. I won't go back. Way too "newport beach" for me."

  • "Newport Beach has slowly been gaining a reputation as a bastion of food innovation. And I don't doubt that for a bit. Kenyon and team are amazing. I would recommend anyone to come and check this HOT spot out..."

  • "My husband and I are true foodies and are very spoiled having dined at many of the top restaurants around the world. Fig & Olive surpassed our expectations. Service was impeccable, manager, Sergey was very accommodating. Food was very innovative and delicious. We will definitely be back."

  • "What a wonderful dining experience! My Friend and I dined at Fig and Olive last night and we were beyond impressed by the service we received and the excellent food. We were promptly greeted by the hostess, who quickly led us to the table. Once sat, our water glasses were filled and our server greeted us within the minute. Nicole was very attentive and helped guide us through the menu, being that this was our first visit. Every course was perfectly timed and came out hot and fresh. The Chilean Sea Bass is definitely a top dish at Fig and Olive. One of the managers, Sergey, paid us a visit while we were dining and really made us feel welcome here! We finished off our evening with a Warm Chocolate Souffle, which melted in our mouths!"

  • "Beautiful place but inattentive servers and average food. The server never explain or recommended anything on the menu. He seemed annoyed with us (why I don't know) we asked for dressing on the side but our salads did not come out that way and the server was nowhere to be found. We never received the bread and olive oil tasting tray like all the tables around us. The dressing on the shrimp and salmon salad was salty beyond belief :( I was unable to send back dish because the server never came back to check on us. After we choked down our salads (20 mins later) the server finally showed up with the check in his hand saying "did you want anything else"? I have never been to a restaurant so rude but that seem to be the theme here smh...."

  • "Excitement and anticipation gave way to puzzlement at waiting almost an hour for our entrees, then disappointment at the tasteless preparations, and finally anxiety and disgust at the incessant repetitive pounding music, leading to an urgent need to get out as quickly as possible after paying. Pushing through the packed bar area past the too fashionable singles, I inhaled the fresh air deeply in the valet parking circle, ears still ringing, vowing never to return."

  • "Great food, waiters very nice. The only thing on the patio it gets cold in the evening when the sun goes down and the open air is chili. They never seem to want to close the roof…air is too damp for me. I was cold both times i sat on the patio. Better in later evening when they close the roof and fireplace goes on."

  • "Beautiful restaurant! I plan on going back and have already told several friends about it!"
    Dined on 7/9/2014
  • "The restaurant was way too noisy and not enjoyable. The food was disappointing for a supposedly upscale restaurant. There are some large isolated rooms if you wanted to have a large party."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "Food was nothing special and portion sizes were small. The 'famous crostini' had great flavones but the bread was not particularly tasty. I ordered the branzino and it was good but super small. The dessert I ordered - mixed berries in phylo dough was very bland. Servers were super nice but very very slow."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "My third time dining for lunch with a reservation (the two other reservations were booked by my guest) that took 15 minutes to be seated. This is highly unacceptable for having a reservation. There are too many options in the area that cater to the business crowd for lunch, this is not one of them. I will not be back."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "Excellent food, different flavors great menu. Here for a business dinner and the variety was great, staff was good but not superb, food stood out."

  • "Fabulous crostinis with lots of different choices. Perfect for lunch. Service excellent. Way too loud for dinner."
    Dined on 7/7/2014
  • "We were one of the first seated for lunch. We got water and then nothing until we asked for a server. Once we were helped he was very attentive. The truffle mushroom croquettes were to die for as was the strawberry and mascapone crostini for dessert. The fig and olive salad was just ok, not much taste. Would not rush back but would give it another try for lunch."
    Dined on 7/7/2014
  • "First time there and so pleasantly surprised. You feel like you are walking into a Mediterranean villa. The menu is short but all we had was very tasty and well presented. Our servers were right there when we needed them and friendly. Don't miss this place for lunch."
