You expect to pay more in Manhattan, but honestly, $15 for 3 miniscule crabcakes ... one bite each! $10 for carrot soup ... maybe 4 spoonfuls. The best things ... my Rossellini drink and the heavenly pot de creme dessert. Oh and our waiter ... he was very engaging, funny, helpful.

I have been to Fig & Olive for dinner a few times but this was my first time for lunch. I went with a co-worker and found it to be a perfect place for a business lunch. There was a very nice selection of sandwiches and salads, which was good for a light meal. Will definitely go back for lunch again soon!

We had a reservation for 1pm. We arrived right on time. There was a line just to check in with the hostess, so by the time we did that it was about 1:10pm. Then she just had us standing there waiting for another 5 minutes (1:15pm), and when I asked when we would be seated, she said some tables were close to paying, so another 10 minutes or so. What was the point of making a reservation? It was a weekday business lunch, so we didn't have unlimited time, and had to leave and go somewhere else.

We unfortunately we're seated at the worst table, right next to the silverware/bread station. If the partition wall separating us from this annoyance was a mere 18" higher we would have been happier. My guest and I both ordered Martinis, alas, they were out of martini glasses. Everything was served in a wine glass, odd. The food was very good. The truffled mushroom croquettes were excellent, sea bass cooked to perfection. The veal Milanese was very good, particularly the marscapone sauce. Stephon, our waiter, was great.

This was my third time here - had another very enjoyable meal. Would recommend getting a variety of crostini for the table - good appetizer to share. Also really liked the raw zucchini appetizer and shrimp pasta. Would also be a good after-work spot for drinks and apps. Will definitely go back.

Tables are upstairs, and a "bar" of dining is downstairs for the most part. The surroundings are definitely upscale. The food is more than satisfactory and the location off 5th and 52nd St. is terrific! There's little in affordable "tablecloth" venues for lunch that's affordable in that neighborhood. The food is well prepared, but not exciting.

Second time dining here and like the diverse menu that encompasses tapas type sharing appetizers along with the more tradtional. Menus change to reflect the seasonal offerings and the pairings are unusual but delicious. They had many vegetarian offerings and the fish entree that I ordered was fresh and beautifully paired with snow peas and figs. I also ordered mushrooms truffle appetizer which was outstanding. Service was excellent, our waiter offered suggestions and we were very pleased with the specialty cocktail choices. Definitely worth a visit.

it was so noisy upstairs, i went with a friend and the table was 2 feet and we couldn't hear each other talk (we were screaming) that we moved to sit at the bar. It was disappointing to each order soup and told the staff that we were sharing a salad and have it not served split in advance. Then when we asked for it to be split the answer was "that would be difficult"; wrong answer. Nice setting and good menu. It is a great location, so it's busy anyway.

I love Fig & Olive Midtown and i always come here for a great lunch or dinner with my friends. The service outstanding, the server was a gem and his recommendations were amazing. As well he recommended some great cocktails that i really loved. The managers add a nice feeling and made us feel pampered by passing at each table and check with us if we are ok or if we need anything else. I must admit that not many restaurants managers are doing that anymore lately. My only comment is about the tuna provencale. Is already the 3rd time ordering this dish and everytime was the same issue with it. The tuna has many strings inside and it seems that is a poor quality. I eat in every restaurant tuna but only here i had this issue. Other than that=great

No Rubes, Just Right: Some restaurants excel at the food and the service is poor. Others command huge crowds and lines, but more for the scene than the scone. Fig & Olive captures excellent service from the minute you walk through the door to the amazing but appropriately portioned desserts. And everything between. Appetizers were excellent, entrees perfect and the highest quality ingredients.

I needed a place to take my aunt and uncle and have been hearing about this one for a while. I definitely wanted something different, but classy and this place didn't disappoint. I made a reservation and was seated right away! we ordered the appetizers- truffle croquttes and the artichoke- both were phenomenal. They cleared that away promptly, and I had ordered the Lobster Boullabaise which was definitely differnt than I expected but flavors were very good. it did come out luke warm though and i had to send it back to heat up, but that wasn't a huge deal. Desserts- the waffle and creme brulee chessecake were also really delicious! Overall, very please.

The food is expensive, but the quality is worth the price. The clientele is mostly financiers and their expensive women, and the tables are a little close together, but overall the experience is great. The only minus is that the server did try to up-sell us to more food than we needed, especially when we (all petite women) specified we wanted small meals

My fiancee and I spent our 4 year anniversary here and were blown away by both the food and the service. The waitress was very attentive and upon learning that it was our anniversary, gifted us 2 glasses of excellent champagne. She also was very receptive to my fiancee's dietary restrictions; the chef consulted with us via the waitress. The food came out promptly, and it was absolutely delicious. We started with the cheese platter which had an assortment of fine cheeses and spreads to accompany them. I had the Mediterranean Branzino for an entree, and my fiancee had the salmon. Both were out of this world. The ambiance is also lovely. Floral displays and gorgeous wine racks everywhere. It was truly an incredible evening. Worth the price!

The pre-fix brunch here is nothing short of fabulous! They really put together a great menu, overall. However, it took about 15 minutes to even see a waiter who at first declined us for a moment until he realized we were trying to order a bottle of champagne and not our entire order. Still love the food and overall atmosphere that it won't deter me from going back, especially if I am trying to have a 2-3 hour brunch.
