  • "The choices were vast- there is something for everyone's palate and all are superb. All of the crostini were wonderful as were the fish dishes. A great place!"

  • "The food and service was fantastic, however the air conditioning was not working which made for an unpleasant, sweaty dining experience."
    Dined on 8/18/2014
  • "New favorite spot! Whatever you order no worries it going to be amazing!"
    Dined on 8/16/2014
  • "The crostinis are always amazing and teh Mediterranean Sea Bass with Figs and snow peas was fantastic."
    Dined on 8/16/2014
  • "We had an overall great experience. Food was delicious and our waiter was excellent, but the reservation system was unacceptable. We had reservations for 7:30pm and were seated at 8.30pm. This was particularly frustrating because we were only a group of 3 and one person in our group had to leave at 9pm. I understand it was the last day of restaurant week, but the restaurant had a pre-fix menu and should be knowledgeable enough to anticipate the rush. Seating us an hour late when we had reservations and were a small group was ridiculous."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "Food was extraordinary - the best dining experience in a very long time. But perhaps because of restaurant week, it was very crowded and very noisy."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "The food was great, the service was great, we had a wonderful time. Since it was packed the noise level was loud and it was hard to hear."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "I have dined at the new Fig&Olive in Chicago several times and decided to try the 5th avenue location since my prior experiences were extremely positive. Unfortunately the seafood paella was severely overcooked and mushy...Maybe it was the throngs of patrons who were dining there for restaurant week but it is high unlikely that I will eat there again."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "The restaurant week menu was delicious. Everything looked so good, I had trouble deciding. I will be making return visits."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "Very attentive staff, fantastic food. Definitely recommend the Crostini too!"
    Dined on 8/14/2014
  • "The fig and olive salad was truly superb - I shall be trying this at home!"
    Dined on 8/13/2014
  • "Host was not very accommodating. Asked us to leave bar to come to our table upstairs. Then told us to go back downstairs, and had us stand to wait for a table. Finally sat us at communal table next to kitchen, despite having reservation. Not very apologetic. Surprised by customer service."
    Dined on 8/13/2014
  • "Although I made reservations, we had a 25 minute wait to be seated. Don't know if they overbooked or just took anyone who came in but it was very crowded. The food was excellent. Good portions and good menu even though it was restaurant week. Wait staff was very good."
    Dined on 8/13/2014
  • "I don't like olives but everything else was excellent. A little pricey, but service was very good, the food was tasty, presentation was beautiful and the room is very nice."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "It was my very first time and I was truly embarrassed that I actually brought someone To lunch there. Even though we were right on time for our reservation we had to wait but when we sat Down finally to eat We felt so rushed and actually consumed a 3 course meal and paid the bill in less than 30 minutes In excuse able!"
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "Both my friend and I really enjoyed the food. Mushroom croquettes were a standout."
    Dined on 8/11/2014
  • "Invited two customers to Fig & Olive during restaurant week. We all ordered from the special menu and enjoyed our meals."
    Dined on 8/11/2014
  • "We picked this restaurant because of the "fig". I ordered everything with fig in it even the fig and walnut julep. Unfortunately I cannot eat hot foods prepared with Olive Oil. I knew that might be a problem. I got by. I'm tired of salads...... Please tell me why restaurants don't even have butter in them any more.............?"
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "It didn't meet my expectation. The food is so so, and the service is not so good."
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "While the service and ambiance of Fig & Olive Fifth Avenue were very good, the food was a disappointment! The signature salad was delicious, but the brunch items we selected were mediocre at best."
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "Second time here, this time trying out the brunch menu and more of the crostini. My friends loved it (they'd never come before). It was quieter than the first time I came, which was in the evening. The food was still fantastic though--I had the truffle fontina and it was filling enough that I couldn't finish it. Both my friends were in love with the chocolate pudding and we ALL managed to finish that. The dining space is spaced out enough that even when this restaurant is crowded you feel like you're not going to knock anyone over, which is something I appreciated and forgot to mention last time."

  • "first time at Fig and Olive...great food...I'll visit the new one in Chicago!!!"
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "Went for restaurant week. Food was yummy, service is great. I have had our waitress in the past as well and she is incredibly knowledgeable and great at helping you decide between dishes... if your the sort to have that issue. The TRUFFLE MUSHROOM CROQUETTE makes my mouth do a happy dance, and you cannot go wrong with any of the crostini's."
    Dined on 8/8/2014
  • "My husband and I loved it. I was not expecting such sizable portions for restaurant week. Lamb chops and filet mignon were cooked perfectly. I totally got the dessert but my husband would have loved more of the deconstructed strawberry cheesecake. We were seated on the second floor which was very comfortable. Families, birthday celebrations, only happy people in the place. Next time we will go to the Meatpacking District location. Oh yeah, we bought the Fig and Olive CD, too."

  • "Went out to dinner with my boyfriend for his birthday. All of the food was fantastic! The mushroom croquettes and lamb chops are both musts. Overall a wonderful evening and a beautiful restaurant."

  • "Excellent Restaurant Week menu. Full size portions superbly prepared and plated."
    Dined on 8/7/2014
  • "Such a great experience!!!! I can't wait to go back! It was packed and it took a while for us to be seated, but the staff was MORE than accommodating and even gave us a delicious appetizer on the house. All of the food was memorable. I can't even tell you the best thing I tried because it was all amazing. I have recommended this place to everyone I've talked too :)"
    Dined on 8/7/2014
  • "What a wonderful luncheon experience. The truffle mushroom croquettes were superb. In fact, the entire meal was wonderful. Eventhough the restaurant was crowded the service was not lacking. Will visit again."
    Dined on 8/7/2014
  • "I have been going to this place since they opened. Lately it is overcrowed and they dont even respect reservation. in my last visit , they didnt even offer me bread and olive oil to taste, which is "must have""

  • "Well, the food we ordered were edible nothing great. The service wa YUCK! 45 mins for 3 Crotini appetizers and when it came it weren't the right ones. Another 30 for our main course and this is after drinking 2 bottles of sparkling water. Horrible experience! :("
    Dined on 8/6/2014
  • "superb food, but very crowded, too noisy to have a conversation, tiny tables and indifferent service"
    Dined on 8/6/2014
  • "I went here with 4 family members--2 were teenagers--on restaurant week and we all found the food to be consistently wonderful. It is not easy to please teenagers! I highly recommend the filet mignon, the beautifully spiced lamb chops, the fig and oil salad, the fabulous salmon tartare appetizer, the gazpacho soup--and the wonderful chocolate mousse. The salmon entree was very good, though it lacked some of the special flavor that the other dishes had. The side dishes that came with the main courses were also well-cooked and delicious. I really can't wait to go back again!"

  • "What I know about this restaurant was much better than what I experienced .It may different in other locations yet it wasn't that impressed in this one. First of all,the receptionist was not that kind and seats are too closed. Women's restroom was only two cubicles yet one was flooding. Food was average but it was worse than the restaurant's reputation. I found an dish crumbs on it at my table. Fruit was not fresh and the crust was dried out that looked as it was in outside for a while. Some crumbs or food on tables leg's decoration that means they don't clean in detail and also, don't consider or know this might drop customer's appetite."

  • "Great fresh fare, nice presentation, LOUD, convenient and fast. Would go back after the rush (it got more quiet after 9pm)."
    Dined on 8/5/2014
  • "The food was excellent. However, we were not seated until more than 45 minutes after our reservation time and the staff was not remotely accommodating or apologetic."
    Dined on 8/5/2014
  • "Came for a business lunch during restaurant. It was packed, long line outside just to check in. Beef carpaccio was amazing, chicken tagine was just OK, but the dessert, strawberry 'crostini' were wonderful, rich shortbread like cookie with a bit of cream and fresh strawberry on top. came with 2 pieces, perfect as a light share."
    Dined on 8/5/2014
  • "Unfortunately I was not lucky about my choice. I ordered Pasta and it took a while to come. Then, after 32 minutes, it came and it was dry and overcooked. My husband is a cook and his speciality is pasta (Italian). So, I was quite disappointed about it. The entry was excellent, croquet and also the dessert was delicious - Chocolat au pod."
    Dined on 8/5/2014
  • "The waiter was really dry and not very nice. I felt that I was a bother to him than anything. I was not impress with the restaurant and my friends and I were very uncomfortable in our seats. The food was delicious but it took way too long to be served. We ended up going because of restaurant week but I wouldn't go on my own for dinner another time. I wasn't impressed."
    Dined on 8/4/2014
  • "I have been here several times over the years, but stopped coming due to the poor service. The food is always outstanding which makes this place so frustrating. The service is still nothing short of terrible, inattentive, slow and generally entitled. This goes for both the table service and the bar. It is such a shame because the food here is innovative and very well executed. It seems that this is becoming more of the norm in Manhattan."

  • "Great food, good location, great waitstaff, will go again"
