  • "One of the friendliest wait staffs we have ever had anywhere in the country. The steak was outstanding!"

  • "Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. Having dined there in 2007 we drove over 250 miles to celebrate our anniversary at the Fields, in 2014. The scallops were done to perfection, and the fish special was delicious. The fish special had tuna, grouper and salmon. Each had different seasonings and sauces. We are looking forward to dining there again in August when were back in town."

  • "We discovered Field's a few years ago, and it quickly became our favorite restaurant. The food is outstanding, the staff is friendly and service is prompt. It is a relaxing atmosphere and we felt welcome with our child. It is a unique restaurant that offers a fine dining experience that is kid-friendly. We will be sure to return again."

  • "Simply amazing. Every aspect from the second we walked in was delightful. If I had to find one thing to complain about, it would be the price. Not that the food wasn't some of the best food I've ever had, I'm just not use to spending 150 dollars on a dinner for 2. But it was a special occasion and everything was wonderful! So I'm not mad about the price. :)"

  • "The food was good, and I can see why this is the choice place to eat in the Dells. It is probably your best choice for a romantic dinner. That said this restaurant wouldn't last as is in Madison or Milwaukee. Like everything else in the Dells they charge a lot of money for what appears to be the best option you have. The wait staff were wonderful and attentive, however the food was nothing special. The Premier Lobster Bisque was good, but I could hardly taste lobster, it was mostly butter and cream. The salad was mostly ice berg lettuce and they were pretty big leafs. That always bothers me. I don't think I should have to cut my salad. The house dressing was pretty good though. And now I am out of room."

  • "We enjoyed a romantic Valentine's Day dinner here. Loved the architecture of the place. Service was excellent with 3-4 servers taking care of our table. Smoked salmon pizza had a wonderful crust. Lobster bisque was deliciously creamy with just the right amount of heat. My steak could have been more tender and the red wine reduction could have been more flavorful. No room for dessert."

  • "Field's Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells is one of the best restaurants in Wisconsin. The ambiance, food, service, wine list, and drinks are superb. My wife and I have dined there many times, and it is always a special treat to return. It's our favorite restaurant."

  • "Great ambiance for a special evening out. The food is fantastic! My husband said the best two steaks he has ever had have both been from Fields."

  • "The most romantic restaurant I've ever been to. Was a little weird that there were many different people serving us. 1 person for bread/water, 1 person for drinks, another person for ordering and another person for dessert."

  • "The server knew what he was talking about and very knowledgeable! The food was more than amazing. The wine and drinks were great! Everyone at the restaurant was friendly"

  • "My wife and I visited Fields for the first time for our anniversary. In my open table reservation, I asked for a special table if possible. Fields gave us the perfect table and complimentary champagne! The food was excellent and the service was too! Couldn't be happier with our visit! Thanks Fields!"

  • "Christmas music is fine, but.. most everyone knows while dinning no lyrics nor even music that ever had thus should be playing. Only instrumentals . To allow for conversation. I did about choke when "Alvin & The chipmunk's" started singing... My entrée arrived before I was done with my salad, so it sat to the side getting cold . Steak was over-cooked & little to no Brie cheese on it. When I asked for more was charged an additional $5- for thus. Appears Renovations are in order, as I noticed upholstery on chairs ripped, frayed & torn."

  • "We started a tradition of going here for dinner for our Anniversary every year in December. The food ,the service, the beautiful Christmas tree all combine to make it such an enjoyable night. We would love to come more often, but we live in Illinois and travel 2 1/2 hors to get there. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable."

  • "We really enjoyed our experience on Thanksgiving. Food was excellent and service in th4 dining room was very good. Our let down is always the service and friendliness at the bar. The bar tender was slow to take our order and it was not busy and then he was talking to another couple not even close to his station to mix drinks and had to ask us to shout our order twice because he couldn't remember. He was not friendly and spoke to another couple who we know are regulars because we also see them frequently at Ishnala. The TV's we on but no sound? We would drink longer if there was a friendly bartender. Isnt that where the profits are????? We will be back!!!!!"

  • "My better half and I went out to celebrate her birthday. The resturant was romantic and the service was outstanding. The food was the best part. We each sampled from each others plate since this was our first time there and neither of us had any complaints. Will go back."

  • "Food was good but not for everyone's taste. Steak very tender could cut with knife, but mine was very under cooked. Potato was very good. My favorite. My husbands steak was perfect for him. The piano music was very good. On the whole we really enjoyed the evening."

  • "The restaurant was beautiful and the staff extremely nice and knowledgeable. That's where greatness ended. The food wasn't awful, but for $50 my lobster was overcooked. The crab cake appetizer was tasteless (however did contain a lot of crab). My husband ordered the 3 Fish Special with Walleye, Grouper, and Ahi Tuna for the most part was happy because the tuna was cooked great and good, but the other two were crusted and lacking in flavor. Overall it was an OK experience, but for $180 after tip I would have expected more from the food.."

  • "Excellent food and service. I had the prawn cocktail, spinach salad with bacon dressing, New York strip with veggies. All were fantastic. The hot towels at the end were a nice touch. But like others I felt that the prices were high. Also like others, we were seated near several tables with small children. I had specifically requested a quiet, private table and was disappointed that they seated families very near us. The Fields is huge so I am confused as to why they don't seat families and couples in separate areas. It didn't turn out too bad as the children were well behaved and the parents took the baby out when she started to cry. But still, at those prices I expected a very quiet private area."

  • "Top notch restaurant. Great service. Very attentive. Food was expensive but very good. Nice place to go for special occasion."

  • "4 of us dined at Fields on a Sunday evening. The restaurant looked very nice, but the food and the service was lacking given the price and reputation. First of all, almost everything had a cheese or cream sauce which is out dated. Additionally, they shouldn't advertise the steaks as aged because I've had aged steak and this didn't have that taste or tenderness. I ordered mine blackened, which was $2 extra and it was bland. There was hardly any seasoning on it. I'm not cheap and don't mind paying for extras, but I think that $2 for some seasoning on a steak is really out of line. When I commented to the waiter, he just stared at me. Another guest had grouper and she said that it was also bland. I will likely not go back."

  • "The restaurant offers scenic viewing overlooking a small pond and natural area. The ambience is that of a classy, trendy, upscale facility that provides a cozy calming dining experience. The menu was a somewhat limited in entrée choices but the food was superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you can escape for a night away without the children/"

  • "I visited for the first time several years ago on a recommendation. It was wonderful. The service, the food, and the ambiance were exceptional. Well worth the price. This time around, I brought my mother and it did not fail to impress. I will be back again!"

  • "To some might be a little pricy, but considering the quality and excellent service, it is worth the price. Even took little ones there and they were treated like adults and they thought it was great as well. Several trips to the Dells and this is always a must go to. If you enjoy a true fine dining experience then this is your spot!"

  • "Our only issue was that we felt rather rushed. We were not able to finish our salads prior to our entree arriving. We noticed that this was the case with the table next to us."
    Dined on 9/13/2013
  • "We enjoyed ourselves immensely. However, I know you limit the menu for easy of preparation. Maybe a few items without sauces, A plain fish dish or a chicken dish not with SAUCES. Otherwise it was very good and I would come again the next time we are in the Dells."
    Dined on 9/14/2013
  • "We always enjoy dining at Field's while in the Dells. The only complaint this time was they pushed us through a little too quickly - main course was delivered after a couple bites of our salad. We also had a table of VERY VERY load people near us. I don't blame Field’s although we were hoping that someone from the restaurant would ask them to keep it down! However, I really wish people could respect the fact that others are dining and spending $$$ and have enough manners to not be yelling at the top of their lungs for 2 hours. Maybe too much to ask this day and age?"

  • "We often think that fine dining means stuffy and coat and tie. And we think casual dining means lesser service and food quality. Field's has found a way to deliver high quality service and food with the comfort of "come as you are" dress code. Field's competes with Milwaukee's Mr. B's, Baccus, Flemings, etc. - worth the drive! Great food, great service - what a great experience!! We drove from Brookfield for our 40th anniversary to catch the Rick Wilcox show. I wanted a place to treat my wife to a good anniversary meal. But where am I going to find atmosphere, service, top shelf food, etc. in the Dells? Fields is the answer. The shrimp was tasty as lobster, the prime rib perfect, wait staff outstanding, our table ready, etc."

  • "First off, the ambiance is amazing. The dining areas and the bar especially are beautifully appointed in a way that manages to be both trendy and palatable. :) All of the staff assisting us were on their best behavior, all extremely helpful and polite. Wait staff were available yet never looming. Feel free to ask your server anything as they're knowledgable not only about the Field's menu but the resort and surrounding area as well. Our server even went out of his way to find out a price quote for the Villa suites visible from the panoramic windows in the dining area. The food is absolutely exquisite in taste and in plating. My family especially loved the sweet potato straws that top the crab cake appetizer! I can't wait to return!"
