But our server did a great job, and even got the kitchen to prepare something for my wife that wasn't on the menu. As for the food: the pesto is absolutely amazing. There's something about the basil they use that is extraordinary. And the pasta, made fresh in-house daily, was awesome. The gnocchi with lobster was a little disappointing. It was good, but personally, I wouldn't order it again. Very little lobster and the flavor of the sauce didn't appeal to me much. We could relax while waiting for showtime.
They got everyone in the mood for the show by playing Stones tunes, which everyone seemed to appreciate. It was very busy and our waiter had several large parties to contend with, but he still managed to give us excellent service. A manager stopped by to ask how our evening and experience was...that was a nice touch.
We really enjoyed ourselved and the food was great. Cooked to perfection with yummy broth and perfect bits of lobster in in. If you love gnocchi, this is your place. A couple of the other people had the lasagna. It was good as well. We had 5:30 pm reservations (they open at 5:30 pm for dinner) allowing us to make the 7 pm performance of KA at the MGM. The restaurant is a short walk from the theater and they accommodated our needs very well. It was romantic and the service was great. Our waiter, Chris, knew the menu well and gave us some good suggestions. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and, no joke, it was the best calamari we've ever had. It came with fried zucchini and peperoncinis with marinara and some sort of aioli for dipping (forget the marinara, the aioli was amazing). If you want to eat at a fancy restaurant on the strip but don't want to break your wallet, I highly recommend Fiamma. It is on the high side for cost , mostly the wine, but for that special occasion is awesome. You have a nice varietynof fish, steak, and of course the pasta is over the top great.
Call early if you want reservations as they fill up quickly. Especially on a concert night. Reservations are also hard to change the closer you get to the evening you are going.
Service is outstanding. The restaurant manager stops by and checks on you. He pickednupnthatnitnwas our anniversary and surprised us with desert on them.

We sat next to a table occupied by six young men who appeared to be inebriated and were very boisterous. That factor detracted significantly from what was otherwise a good experience. When we were seated I noticed that the area we were seated in was intimate and perfect for two or three person parties. I ordered the gnocchi tasting trio and it was beyond delicious. Our server was extremely attentive and helped provide a great suggestion for wine pairings while still allowing me to make my own selection. All in all this was a great experience with flavorful food.
