Across the street was a nice park with much going on. The wind list was more than adequate and pricing was at any level. We chose a very tasty California pino grigio. We shared an antipasto plate for an appetizer, quite adequate for two.My wife chose a six ounce beef filet as her entree. I took one of the four specials offered that evening, jumbo shrimp stuffed with lobster and an eight ounce sirloin steak done medium. Everything was prepared with great eye appeal and very tasty. A desert plate with six choices activated our taste buds again. Service was refined, patient and considerate. The food selections and presentation were excellent, especially delicious. I think the wine list could have been more reasonable in the price, but since I am from outside the area, maybe their prices were typical. But we were sitting under an air conditioning vent that didn't need to be on--a cooler Spring night--and our server seemed bored, distracted, and stumbled a lot through the specials.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMour son's Master's graduationWe live in the east side -- but I wanted a special spot to celebrate our married son's graduation from U of M with his Master's in Aerospace Engrg. -- and to celebrate the fact that our soon to wed daughter & fiance just found a darling starter home -- (ironically - only six miles from Plymouth). Frankly, my first choice would have been closer to Ann Arbor, but everything was booked w/i a 10 mile radius. I am a frequent user of "Open Table" and so I looked at what was available NE of Ann Arbor, and found great reviews on Fiamma Grille. I grew up in Ann Arbor & had not been to Plymouth in years. It was a perfect choice. Also great to just drop in for a cocktail and conversation. The patio and summer menu are wonderful for relaxing and gathering with friends.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMJust the type of restaurantJust the type of restaurant you would hope to find in a vibrant and cool downtown like Plymouth. The food was absolutely delicious. The menu was creative. The atmosphere was very energetic on Saturday night. Every table was full, but we never felt rushed. The waiter was knowledgeable and professional, but had difficulty returning to the table as often as we would have expected for this class of restaurant. I recommend for a night that you want something special and dinner is your main event. If you are on a tight timeline for a movie or a show, it might not fit your schedule. We started off with a cheese plate that is made locally in Michigan and had some oysters. I live in Boston and have to say these oysters were just as good as living on the coast.
For our main courses, we have the new york strip oscar along with swordfish and the special of the day which was a surf and turf with new york strip and oscar and jumbo shrimp wraped in bacon. I also got the sideo of sauteed mushrooms, and would higlhy recommend ordering these. Everyone was very pleased with their meals and nothing was left behind. We ordered the specials which were quite pricy, but well worth it. However, on our budget it is strictly a special occasion place to go. It's a very small and always seems packed so that increases the noise level for diners. to top it off - they had musicians in the corner.
