One of Dallas’ most revered Italian restaurants for more than 25 years. Francesco & Jane Secchi, who hail from Italy and England respectively, serve Northern & Southern Italian cuisine with emphasis on fresh seafood, steaks and pasta from Francesco's native Sardegna.

The adjoining wine bar serves flights of wines and martinis with a more casual menu consisting of hand- tossed pizzas baked in a mesquite wood-fired oven.

  • "For our meal, we had the beef carpaccio (appetizer) followed by sea bass topped with lump crab and also the veal daily special ( 2 entrees). All were perfectly prepared and served. We used to drive to Ft Worth or north Dallas to go to Lawry's or other places for a nice meal, and now we always go to Ferrari's instead. Grapevine is just a 5 minute drive and we get a comparable (or better) meal at a lower price."

  • "I appreciated the customs in Italy that a meal was to be savored and enjoyed. I have since been looking for a place that was more authentic at home. Ferrari's Italian Villa filled all of my check lists requirements. The food was delicious and more authentic, the service we received was attentive but not intrusive. We were not hurried. The ambience was very romantic, dimly lit, but not too dark. I took my husband there for his birthday and a romantic evening. The acoustics were good, and I did not have to talk loudly for my husband to hear me. Some may view this restaurant be a bit pricy, but the portions were huge, and the whole experience was well worth the price."

  • "my husband & i dined here for the first time recently, & we've talked about it every day since! the food was just great - not "overly italian" like i feared. the bread/flatbread they bring while your main course is being prepared was one of the best things! another unexpectedly tasty dish was the $6 side of spaghetti. i love spicy foods, so i asked if they could add a little spice to it - the result was perfection. for the main course, we both had steak dishes, which were great as well."

  • "Way overpriced for mediocre food & poor service. 7pm on a Saturday night and restaurant was mostly empty. Asked for a drink menu but waiter didn't want to bother finding a drink menu, just said what do you want?. Our large round table backed up to curtain which made it hard to have a conversation or move around. I ordered wine, but it arrived after my meal. Asked for separate checks because some of us had wine & some didn't, but the waiter would only split the check. Awkward since some paid more than they should. Left feeling disappointed and won't go back."

  • "Ferrari's consistently delivers the best Cioppino in the Metroplex, topped by a lobster tail, full of a variety of seafood in a rich spicy broth. My wife loves the tableside prepared jumbo shrimp scampi, which is flambed and comes with a yummy pesto linguini. We top off the evening with a rich Bananas Francesco featuring two flavors of gelato and is incredible. As Francesco, the owner, is Sardinian, we love to pair the meal with a Sardinian Soletta Umberto Cannonau wine which brings out the flavors of the seafood and pasta. Great place for a special meal."

  • "We were looking for a place to go while visiting my brother, who moved to the area a couple months ago. We chose the place based on previous Yelp reviews. Our server was very friendly and paid special attention to my niece and nephew. We ate on the more casual side and were able to order off both menus. Don't really understand the dual menu but the food was excellent. The calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly and the three dipping sauces were great. We got several items from the antipasto bar and they were all really good. The Caesar salad had a beautiful presentation. I had the pappardelle with Bolognese and it was delicious. I would definitely want to go back next time I'm in the Southlake area."

  • "Sat at the bar, and for $35.00 I received a steak Tagliatelli, (smoked filet) a large side of pasta, and a glass of the house chardonnay. It also comes with the signature bread (a la pizza style) and marinara sauce. There are other options on the deal, but I would certainly get this again!"

  • "We had reservations for 9:00pm, but my date was running late. We ended up not making it there until 10:00pm, but they were incredibly accommodating! The parpadelle bolognese was amazing. The kitchen closed at 10:30, but we stayed wellllllll past that. They were in no hurry to get us out of there and were completely committed to ensuring we had a wonderful evening. Will definitely be back!"

We couldn't have been happier about the food preparation/taste and the attention of the staff. Of note, there are quite a few private rooms to have gatherings of family, colleagues, or friends which are not always easy to find. I will definitely be back."

Every item on the menu is well conceived and well executed, and the house-made gnocchi in Gorganzola sauce is absolutely addictive! The dining room is elegant but not stuffy, the bar is impressive and the service is warm and professional. This place is a real find, and family-run to boot! Go!"

  • "COLD-The visual menu presented upon being seated felt like a gimmick. There was a fish special that we were not told about. It was definitely something I would have ordered. My first choice on the menu was Filet Tagliata-waiter said they had run out. I inquired about the Lamb Osso Buco and was told that it was delicious, ONLY ONE ORDER LEFT-WHAT?! OK, ordered it. It was described to have parmesan polenta-gremolata with horseradish. NO horseradish at all. Dish tasted like overpriced pot roast with a LOT of gravy. Seriously. HOT-Crab Claws Alla Russa tasty albeit rich& smallish. Caprese salad delicious, especially the arugula topping. Risotto Funghi w/ Italian sausage was absolutely DIVINE! Wine selections (by glass) & gelato dessert good!"

  • "Our families met at Ferrari's for Easter Sunday Brunch. Everyone, even the picky eaters, enjoyed his/her meal. With the choices of breakfast items, traditional Italian pastas and an exceptional menu, we all were happy with our choices. The restaurant is delightful with terrific service. A nice feature of the restaurant is the fabric draped on the ceiling. It is very attractive and keeps the chatter of conversation and restaurant noise down to a minimum. This makes it very nice for those who are hard of hearing. We could actually hear the conversation at our table....how nice!"

  • "Although there are two Ferrari's in the DFW area, this location far exceeds the Addison location. Both have great food, but the atmosphere and service at the Grapevine location is exceptional. The bar area is conducive to have drinks with a few friends before dinner in a quiet, subdued atmosphere. Restaurant noise level was very low, which is unusual these days and very nice. Decor was beautiful with low lighting. Servers are great and the sommellier was very down to earth and helpful in helping us choose a wine. "

I order the filet special. It was good, but it wasn't the best filet I'd ever had. Service was excellent. I would return if I were to travel in Dallas again."

  • "Overall, the food was decent but considering the cost, very overpriced. My date ordered the stuffed veal chop, and I ordered the lasagna - neither one was spectacular. The veal chop was a little overcooked and lacking in flavor, and my lasagna reminded me of something I might get at a local Joe's Pizza & Pasta, only a little better. I ordered 2 glasses of wine - a Chianti & Malbec - and both were very underwhelming, as was the very watered down "double" Glenlivet my date ordered. The restaurant looked nice but it was very dimly lit and it was difficult to read our menus. I expect superior food, wine, drinks, and atmosphere when paying $200 for dinner, and this restaurant did not deliver."
