A word from Felidia
Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a five course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $95 per person.

Diner Reviews
  • "My favourite restaurant in NYC!!! I celebrated there my and my husband's birthday! Very special place!!!"
    Dined on 8/17/2014
  • "Fantastic food, great presentation, and their wine list must be one of the best in NYC. However, there is no music in the entire place- its so quiet that the loudest thing you hear is the clang of silverware & the shuffling of waiters feet. You can barely talk to the people you are with for fear of making any noise.. its like eating in a library. We were rushed by our waiters continually (except for the bread guy, he was fantastic & very funny). Their cocktails were very well done. Would recommend for people with lots of money with a great love of wine & who do not like to talk at dinner. Not recommended for special occasions or large groups (unless you get their private room)."

  • "My wife & I had just got married. We requested a quaint quiet table. We got that & much more. The staff was so attentive, polite, & professional. The food was outstanding. Can not wait to go back."

  • "Wonderful food; my first course was a delicious and beautifully presented shaved salmon dish followed by veal medallions with an asparagus gratin. My guests raved about their choices as well. The restaurant is one of small, intimate rooms with elegant soft lighting. The service was attentive without being over bearing. A very good experience."

  • "Our first trip to New York and we picked Felidia's because we watch Lidia's show all the time...we love her and we loved the restaurant...the staff was fabulous...very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious...we especially loved the Cacio e Pere ....we were very spoiled with complimentary tastings...also enjoyed the deep fried zucchini flowers and snapper...specials for the day....overall superb dining experience...loved it!"

  • "Went there for lunch and it was worth braving the traffic and construction right out in front to get there. It was terrific and the suggestions from the knowledgeable staff were all spot on."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "Drinks were terrible (bloody Mary--very bland) Food was just OK--tried to substitute something and they were very rigid--acted like they did not care--either take it or leave it attitude Not the same as it was a few years back when it was the hot place--lost a lot of its luster--now just another overpriced manhattan dining place"

  • "The menu was appealing, but then the captain explained the specials which tempted me so much, I had to rethink my choices."
    Dined on 8/9/2014
  • "I went there with my mother and we had the most delicious and tasty food since in the states. The special "pollo al mattone" was amazing and by thinking about it I can still feel the taste in my mouth. Service was excellent, and differently than the other restaurants in US, no rush when shifting from a meal to another one, which has made the experience very enjoyable. Food is a ritual, afterall. The only tiny negative thing was the illumination of the room, which was a bit too low and made it difficult to see the menu. I strongly recommend Felidia."

  • "While there was nothing wrong with the meal, we expected more! We were disappointed in the menu choices and the fact that the "Early/Late" (i.e., before and after theater) three course menu was not available. Overall, we felt it was expensive for the meal we had."
    Dined on 8/9/2014
  • "We went for my wife's bday. the crudo was insane and beautifully presented. The bread and spread were amazing as was the branzino. The highlight was our waiter who went above and beyond in explaining everything to us and overall just being the perfect level of attentive and hands off letting us enjoy the meal"

  • "food and service (pepino) great!!! however was disappointed where we were seated in the upstairs private dining area we didn't feel we were part of the ambiance...."
    Dined on 8/7/2014
  • "The pasta dishes, as always, were delicious, and we were given a third pasta sample courtesy of the Chef. My husband liked his dish, but I ate very little of my Vitello Tonato. It was watery and a very different version than I am used to. You couldn't taste the tuna fish sauce, and it was smothered in salad. Not my favorite. Desserts were good, and the price is reasonable."

  • "$800 for 5 people, one a teen! Although the food is wonderful and presentation top rate, just not worth the money compared to other places with same/better food."

  • "Fabulous dinner and ambiance at one of my favorite restaurants. Especially loved the Fagiolini appetizer and Cacio e Pere Ravioli. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our every needs. The table was in a corner so it made for a very nice romantic evening for my wife and I."

  • "This was our second meal at Felidia and their excellence will keep us coming back."
    Dined on 8/3/2014
  • "Will never go back. Food was fair and the service was the worst we have ever experienced."
    Dined on 8/2/2014
  • "This is our third visit. First two were incredibly good and made us return. This visit , one year later, is very disappointing. Quality of the food(we ordered exactly the same dishes) was far apart from what we had before."
    Dined on 8/1/2014
  • "From the bread to the dessert both the service and the food were superb. The chef knows how to coax flavors out of seafood with the right blend of seasonings. The textures were perfect - a clear indication of meticulous cooking methods. I left wishing that the experience wouldn't end. There are lots of fine dining choices in NYC and this is among the best."

  • "Dinner at Felidia was great from the drinks all the way to dessert. The food was extraordinary and flavorful. The service was also amazing, very attentive staff."

  • "I have had 3 good experiences at Felidia before -- perhaps overpriced but very good. This time I was hosting 3 guests. I arrived at 7:29 for a 7:30 reservation. The young man at check-in seemed zoned out as he told me he thought one of my party had arrived and was outside. I told him no one was outside and waited in his presence for 5 minutes, then asked was he sure my party wasn't there. Long story short, I got pushy around 7:45 and eventually learned my party had been waiting 20 minutes seated upstairs. Then our table was in a tiny 3-table area behind the kitchen that was cramped and unpleasant. Then we waited 10 minutes to be offered a drink. The food was OK but the overall experience was quite lousy."

  • "Work party of 4 and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. One in our party was late and they somehow served him without a hiccup in service. And the food was unquestionably top-tier. Highly recommended."

  • "The wait staff was great in response to our inquiry about availability of gluten free food for our daughter. They brought fabulous gluten free crackers with the normal basket of bread at the outset of our lunch (better than the bread even though the bread was good), and gave excellent advice about GF items as options for our daughter. Lovely ambiance too. Highly recommend."

  • "Ordered the Specials.. Some special Raviola as appetizer and cod as entree.. Not want I was cra bing but both very good . Warm and friendly service... Took a while to get our wine.. Had to ask twice.."

  • "Too expensive for what it is..........................................................................................................................."

  • "Felidia is a friendly restaurant with an excellent menu and good service. The dishes were executed well and lived up to their description on the menu. The dishes from the 'truffle menu' were very generously covered in grated truffle and, while expensive, were worth the money. We immediately rebooked to return to Felidia later in the week."

  • "I am not gluten free but my wife is. It is rare to have a top restaurant cater to this challenged group, especially regarding fresh pasta and bread. The food was superb. We both ordered a fresh, in-house made ravioli, hers gluten free, mine not. They were both tender, tasty and all you would expect at a fine Italian restaurant. They also made fresh gluten-free flat bread that was also excellent. The entrees were done almost perfectly, my veal chop was a bit salty, otherwise no complaints. The wait staff and ambiance were better than expected. Will return."

  • "This was our second visit, the first one was amazing. Food and service were excellent as the first visit. We ordered the Chef's choice and were amazed with each course. The wine guy was not as helpful as our first visit but he was different and that may explain it. But overall you can't miss with this place. We went on a Saturday night with reservations and were seated promptly on time. Service started immediately and continued in a very attentive fashion but we never felt rushed. We'll be back"

  • "Best soft shell crabs ever!!!! I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.""

  • "I've eaten at Felidia many times. This time was disappointing due to service. We were a party of 3 and unfortunately we were not served at the same time for the appetizer and main entree. One person was left waiting for their meal each time for quite a while. In addition my friend ordered from the prix fixe menu --the chicken dish. He doesn't eat ham and asked that it be left off. They said no problem. When his dish arrived it looked like 3 small chicken nuggets. It was tiny and not enough to be filling. I've never seen an entree to be so small."

  • "We've been several times and never disappointed. Food is outstanding and service is attentive. We came recently for a special dinner with friends from out if town and enjoyed a fantastic meal with perfect ambience. The snapper filet was prepared to perfection and delicately seasoned. Tuna tartar appetizer was also inventive and delicious. We will be back again and again"

  • "Yesterday I took a client to lunch at Felidia's. I was so disappointed with the meal that I am writing this review which I have not done previously. My first course was scallops that were tasteless and the presentation was uninspiring. I can't remember what my client ordered but it too was forgettable. We both ordered the salmon. I requested the salmon be cooked medium rare and my client ordered medium. Both dishes came out medium to well and as the scallops were tasteless. The wine list was good with a nice selection of Italian wines. The service was good."

  • "We always enjoyed our meals at Felidia whenever we have Malek to take care of us. Food was delicious and ambiance was pleasant on their non busy nights."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "Although a bit pricey, you have to expect to pay to get such hand crafted dishes... the grilled octopus (polipo) was exceptional, the veal chop special was superb, chicken liver pate (fegatini) was outrageously flavorful and the spring vegetable appetizer was ingenious - with a sunny side up blue egg and bacon on top. For dessert we ordered the canoli- it was a wonderful ending to a delicious meal! All in all, no complaints...we left feeling satisfied - not too full but definitely not hungry. Our table gives Felidia an A+."

  • "Combine superb service with fabulous food and there is the succinct description of Felidia. We celebrated our friend's 60th birthday there with splendid wine, wonderful food and service which was attentive without being hovering. We highly recommend Felidia. It's expensive, but absolutely worth it!!"
