A word from Felidia
Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a five course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $95 per person.

Diner Reviews
  • "We have now eaten at Felidia twice in the last few weeks and every dish was either very good or absolutely delicious."

  • "Best soft shell crabs ever!!!! I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.""

  • "We've been several times and never disappointed. Food is outstanding and service is attentive. We came recently for a special dinner with friends from out if town and enjoyed a fantastic meal with perfect ambience. The snapper filet was prepared to perfection and delicately seasoned. Tuna tartar appetizer was also inventive and delicious. We will be back again and again"

  • "Yesterday I took a client to lunch at Felidia's. I was so disappointed with the meal that I am writing this review which I have not done previously. My first course was scallops that were tasteless and the presentation was uninspiring. I can't remember what my client ordered but it too was forgettable. We both ordered the salmon. I requested the salmon be cooked medium rare and my client ordered medium. Both dishes came out medium to well and as the scallops were tasteless. The wine list was good with a nice selection of Italian wines. The service was good."

  • "We always enjoyed our meals at Felidia whenever we have Malek to take care of us. Food was delicious and ambiance was pleasant on their non busy nights."

  • "Although a bit pricey, you have to expect to pay to get such hand crafted dishes... the grilled octopus (polipo) was exceptional, the veal chop special was superb, chicken liver pate (fegatini) was outrageously flavorful and the spring vegetable appetizer was ingenious - with a sunny side up blue egg and bacon on top. For dessert we ordered the canoli- it was a wonderful ending to a delicious meal! All in all, no complaints...we left feeling satisfied - not too full but definitely not hungry. Our table gives Felidia an A+."

  • "Combine superb service with fabulous food and there is the succinct description of Felidia. We celebrated our friend's 60th birthday there with splendid wine, wonderful food and service which was attentive without being hovering. We highly recommend Felidia. It's expensive, but absolutely worth it!!"

  • "There is a reason this great restaurant is still going strong - outstanding food and service. The range of pasta offerings on one menu is unmatched in our experience in NYC. We have eaten in many fine Italian restaurants in the city, but if there is better pasta here, we have yet to find it. Suc a treat for the senses. I highly recommend this restaurant if you have never been."

  • "Lidia has continued to excel at her flagship restaurant. It hasn't slipped in 30 years. The food was excellent, service professional. The chef sent an extra pasta dish compliments of the house. My husband had the branzino, and he was impressed with the size of the fish which was deboned at our table. the salmon is always excellent. You can't get a better value anywhere in NY for the quality, especially at lunch or brunch."

  • "Felidia is wonderful, from food to service to ambiance. Every meal has been a comforting pleasure and a happy occasion."

  • "Excellent lunch brunch - one of our members had a nut allergy and the staff was outstanding: they brought her a separate bread basket and oil (versus a nutty spread). So many great options on the menu."

  • "Went for a special occasion and was not disappointed. The food was exceptional and the waiter friendly and conversational. This is the type of experience one remembers for a long time."

  • "The tutto crudo and the tiramisu were among the best starters and desserts I've ever had in my life. The main (seared salmon) was delicious too. For $29.50 for a three-course lunch, this is one of the best value restaurants in the area."

  • "But didn't quite meet our very high expectations. Had their signature tasting menu for $70/pp, which brought us some of their most mentioned dishes - octopus, pear ravioli, secondi with two kinds of beef, tiramisu sort of mousse. Everything was very good, just short of great. The service was attentive but quite formal - nobody cracked a smile. Also a weird lapse while we tried to order wine. Wine list is super expensive - very few options that won't break the bank. Dining room felt crowded, though not loud. Definitely heavy on the older patrons. With so many other upscale Italian options, I doubt we'll be back. Too expensive a meal to be not quite there."

  • "Returned to our favorite NYC restaurant, Felidia, after a few years. Things do really change. Food was not hot or presented as described by server. Staff strained to smile and be pleasant. There was a problem with a gift card. It was glazed over by the staff and we were not able to use it. The wine and bread basket had to carry the evening. Very disappointed. Not our favorite, to say the least, any more. Never to return. We have been going to Felidia since my son was in Prep school and we would meet him in the city. So very sad!!"

  • "I had a business meeting and my colleagues were in from California. They asked me to pick a place for our dinner with spouses. The experience could not have been better. I rely on Felidia for professional service, a tasty and creative menu sprinkled with satisfying standards, and a reliable New York experience."

  • "The food here is very good. Not everything was super fresh - some veggies I could tell were not cooked that day - but it was tasty. They also have gluten free pasta and bread - which is why we came. The waitress though was not knowledgeable about this, so it was tricky and confusing getting what we wanted. She seemed incredibly confused about gluten free and didn't get our order correct. But it was good anyway and we would go back."

  • "At first glance, the restaurant appears beautiful. Despite longtime reservations for my Mom's 70th Birthday and only visit to NY City, we were taken to a closet-type room and shoved in a VERY tight corner with a drape hanging on our table. The restaurant was fairly empty at the time with many open tables. No one asked if this was acceptable, because of course it was not for anyone. My Mom was extremely disappointed! Once I mentioned my displeasure we were moved and the dinner was great."

  • "This is one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan. The food is fabulous, the wine list excellent as well as the service. I like the fact that Lidia is often present. This exemplifies her passion and true concern for her restaurant menu and most of all her patrons. I am looking forward to returning, especially for the chicken liver fegatini!!!!"

  • "Took our out of town friends to Felidia and could not have made a better choice. Food was fantastic and so was the service. Cannot wait to return."

  • "The food was very good, I thought a bit overpriced for what it was. Waitstaff was friendly but didn't seem to know all the items on the menu as I would expect and we were left standing at the front door for a very long time with no acknowledgement while another diner was complaining about his seating arrangements - it was getting awkward when they finally acknowledged we were standing there waiting to be seated. Food was very good, felt our pasta dish was just ok. Nice experience overall but I probably wouldn't go back for a very long time."

  • "Celebrated my birthday at this wonderful restaurant. Saw many waiters walking around but had to wait awhile for attention. Tried to order wine but could not find the sommelier. Our waitress was lovely. We asked for a less expensive bottle of wine and she recommended the house wine. It was great!Everything was fine and we enjoyed our meal. Just expected more "one on one" time because of the numerous wait staff. Food was fabulous! I had a private birthday song sung by a very nice waiter. Very classy."

  • "This was our first time. We had a great table in the corner and could watch the precision of the staff as they prepared food table side. The potter ions were perfect to share so we could have an anti pasta, pasta and main course. The food flavor swerve fantastic and service perfect. Jeff the sommelier helped us with a great Brunello."

  • "Yummy food here. A spinach pasta with duck and mushrooms and two fish dishes were each delicious. The wait staff was knowledgable and professional without being the least bit stuffy. We got good help with selecting a wine and a request to give us a bit of extra time between courses was honored. Altogether, dining at Felidia was a happy experience."

  • "Felidia was a truly wonderful dining experience in every way. I was very impressed at their commitment to the gluten-free community since my daughter is GF and she was my dining companion. Since they are not what one would consider a "health conscious" venue, their 100% commitment was notable and most appreciated! The service was incredible and the food was divine."

  • "Friends recommended Felidia and raved about the food, so we gave it a try. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, the staff was friendly and courteous, and the food superb. We tried four recommended restaurants on our recent trip, but Felidia was the star."

  • "Felidia was first recommended to me about 20 years ago but somehow I have never come here before, and I am sorry I have missed it all these years. It is homey. Dishes are fresh and inventive, and the staff is very attentive. I happen to love Northern Italian food, so it was perfect for me."

  • "After a day of touring the revitalized NYC we had a hard decision to make about a dinner site. My wife has had several get togethers with former colleagues. They all raved about it. As our hotel reservations were at the Warwick, Felidia became the obvious way to satisfy our needs for a Lidia or Mario experience. The food was over the top great, although it took us a cocktail to finally decide our menu and 'specials' choices . It was well worth the process. The appetizers were served in a very reasonable amount of time as were the main courses. That takes some expertise in the kitchen. The service was so refined and oh so comfortable. Our opinions are sincere and are from the heart, the palette and level of comfort."

  • "We had the tasting menu and couldn't believe the variety and quality of each course: Shaved raw fish, grilled octopus, pear & pecorino ravioli, shredded duck with spinach pappardelle and a perfectly cooked veal tenderloin. Dessert was a trio of delicious items. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had."
