A word from Felidia
Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a four course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $95.00 per person.

Diner Reviews
  • "First class dining experience. Authentic upgrade Italian cuisine. No meatballs here. Food & service were excellent. Wines on a higher scale. Be prepared to spend a few bucks. More than worth it. A true dining experience."

  • "I have all good things to say about FELIDIA! Service was attentive and helpful ... food was spectacular. Our table of 4 did a lot of sharing. For appetizers we shared a plate of mixed salume which included a variety of meats including venison. We also had a wonderful salad of string beans with warm house made ricotta.....OMG! We ordered orechiette with shrimp and pesto and a wonderfully light pear and ricotta ravioli.Main courses included tuna, branzinni, a mixed seafood plate and veal. Each cooked to perfection! Portions are generous... some needed to be wrapped up for home. Dessert included a delicious authentic grain and ricotta pie, gelato/sorbetto and a complementary tray of tiny biscotti. Oh...........a large wine list, too!"

  • "We came with our family for my husband's 60th birthday, and Felidia was a good choice. The service is top drawer, especially our waiter who was friendly and knowledgable, always timely and attentive and never obtrusive. The food was excellent, the house-cured meats and the pastas were favorites, especially a ravioli filled with spring greens in a light sauce and a duck ravioli with truffles. The wines were just right and desserts were fabulous. We really appreciated the low noise level, as so many restaurants are overwhelmingly loud these days. Although it was quite expensive, Felidia provided an exceptional experience in every way."

  • "This past visit was awful. We were jammed into a tiny table and basically ignored. The service was terrible. Have been here many times and always enjoyed it. This time was the worst. Our server acted annoyed that we were even there. We weren't offered specials, no follow up, had to pour our own wine. Just a let down experience."

  • "It was our first time having lunch at Felidia's. The price fix menu is an incredible value. Every dish we tried was exceptional. The breads and pesto spread were delectable. There were excellent choices of wines by the glass. Desserts were a bit too sweet for my taste but still lovely. Everyone who works at Felidia's seems to really care about making and keeping their customers happy."

  • "Ordered flat water, came in open bottle and mysteriously refilled....from where? Ordered 2 different bottles of wine not opened table side either, would not recommend either bottle. Dinner was nothing special except the price, one main dish was suppose to be mixed selected shellfish which consisted of 60% squid???octopus? When the wrong dessert came we could not get staff attention they we're to busy talking to regulars and amongst themselves. They were consistent with disappointing our evening by still charging us for the wrong dessert! Never go back or recommend, save your money and dine at your favorite local Italian resturant."

  • "Felidia is an amazing restaurant. It is not your typical Italian restaurant. The food is special and delicious. The wait staff is very helpful when choosing dishes or wines. I ill be back."

  • "We arrived a bit late in the evening after attending a conference on bilingualism. The place was packed but cozy. Our table was way too close to that of our neighbors and I felt a bit awkward turning my back to the next couple with only a few in inches separating. The service was quick and the waiters polite and willing to accommodate your requests . The starters ie king crab and raw fish were very good and well presented . As main course, I had trip which turned to be nicely spicy and laid down on a bed of exquisite home-made polenta . While I was totally satisfied, the grigliata mista my wife had was only decent, with the langoustine being the weak spot of the dish . The dessert (tiramisu) was great. All in all it was very nice."

  • "We have been to Felidia before, and always try to go back for speical occasions. We are never disappointed. This time we were celebrating my husband's birthday. The menu was full of delicious surprises, and also gluten free choices (which is rare in most restaurants) . He enjoyed the fish special- roasted striped bass which was beautifully prepared and delicious. I had a "small portion" of taglietele with duck and mushrooms... more than ample in size, and truly scrumptious. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and an end of the meal birthday treat topped off the celebration. We look forward to going back again!"

  • "One of my favorite places in NYC and had the usual wonderful food but the service was wretched. Have to give kudos to the sommolier who was wonderful and ended up pitching in to pour water. Of the three other assigned staff we were ignored repeatedly. Our plates languished on our table so long we gave up on dessert. Hopefully this is a one time glitch!!"

  • "Celebrated my birthday there for the second year in a row and was once again entirely delighted with the meal. Both times my wife and I have chosen both from the menu and from the daily specials and every dish has been splendid. Wonderful food; terrific, informed staff; beautiful restaurant. Thank you for such a memorable experience."

  • "I like Felidia. I choose it for special occasions as the menu is pricey. Also good for business entertaining. My one qualm is that the appetizers are for the most part great, but the entrees seem less consistent. That being said, the pastas are wonderful. I don't get the sense that there is an emphasis on local ingredients. The striped bass was from Florida: we have a Bay full of delicious fish on Long Island: why not support the local industry and decrease our carbon footprint. I know we will be back."

  • "From the moment you walk in you a treated like an honored guest. Pleasant and inviting.. Elegant and relaxing. Impeccable food quality and presentation, incredibly attentive service without being intrusive or overwhelming. Lidia Bastianich has always been a favorite of mine and despite her "celebrity" she and her staff manage to shed pretense and leave you with a familial warmth few others can execute. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening. Thank you to EVERYONE involved. You wowed us both! Cheers."

  • "This was one of the most delicious, memorable and enjoyable dinners I've ever had. In particular, the Wagyu beef carpaccio appetizer was exceptional. All of our food was cooked to perfection and we appreciated the sound, descriptive recommendations of the sommelier who steered us towards a full-bodied bottle of Italian red wine. I can't wait to go back."

  • "The food is delish and fresh, everything is done perfectly. the staff pays attention to details. One of the best dining experiences. The fresh pasta was amazing and just enough sauce to compliement the pasta! the seafood was spectacular delicate and flavorful. ."

  • "The food was outstanding; I wish I could say the same about the service. Our waiter didn't talk to us at all about the menu, didn't ask how our food was (until we pointed this out during the second course), and was generally cold. These are basics that I'm genuinely startled were missing at a restaurant of this supposed caliber."

  • "We met our friends and were given a very quiet table upstairs. The warm pear ravioli is to die for. Service was quite attentive. Fresh Truffles that nite, and the captain brought a large whole one out for us to see and then shaved a nice amount on my risotto Outstanding,"

  • "I have eaten here several times now, and keep coming away with the same review - outstanding. Try all of the half order pastas, break out of your comfort wine zone and have a blast. Desserts are also a must here. Enjoy !"

  • "Anything by Lidia is a gem to us - her restaurants, her recipes, the stories she tells on her show...my husband and I were so happy to have lunch there and would definitely go back again."

  • "the black truffle raviolis were to die for. the salads were remarkably good. the veal medalions appeared to be a small fillet withbernaise sauce ad my wife's sea bass was mediocre. the aglianico naima was superb and thedesert crepes were exquisite. the mediocre entrees were the only ones that prevented me from ginving you a tre forchetta rating"

  • "We have dined at Felidia several times throughout the years and the food is always amazing and different than the usual typical fare. The staff is friendly, only gave 3 stars for service because we did wait awhile before being seated even though we had reservations. A great spot for a special occasion. Between the 2 of us we had the artichoke salad, the chicken soup, the octopus, the pear ravioli and the pork chop valdostana- all were excellent dishes."

  • "Somehow I hadn't been back to Felidia since the late 90's since I no longer work in NYC. Then it was one of my favorites and I frequented it regularly. It is still spectacular, one of the finest restaurants in NYC which is full of great restaurants. The food and service remain outstanding..."

  • "Awful dining experience. Terrible food - had the vegetarian tasting menu and everything was awful. Had to send one dish back it was so inedible. The replacement dish was not much better. Service was terrible. Don't bother going here."
    Dined on 2/13/2014
  • "Our meals were unusual and exceptionally prepared. Every mouthful was delightful! I was pleased that I was able to find a few selections to choose from that were vegetarian. The pear filled ravioli were delicious. The appetizer of fresh ricotta with broccoli rabe and butternut squash was exeptional. The dessert of nutella cake with pistachio ice cream----heavenly!"

  • "My husband and I had a delicious meal at Felidia. The whole feel of the restaurant felt very authentic italian. The sommelier recommended an excellent wine and we both enjoyed our meals. There is nothing too fru fru just delicious, simple, and fresh food!"
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "The space is stuck in an old world, and the execution generally leaves much to be desired. It's far more expensive than it's more capable Italian counterparts. The wine list is similarly stuck in it's old ways. It's simply good when the price implies excellence."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "Creative and taste filled dinner started as well as it ended. Don't get set on menu choices as the specials were equally incredible. Veal tenderloin and cheek was amazing as was the grilled octopus appy. Save room for dessert!"
    Dined on 2/27/2014
  • "The food was as good as we expected; however, the overall experience was not. Our 2 couples were seated in a small room between two groups of businessmen who though not rude we're very noisy--so much so that we could talk only with difficulty. The service didn't improve the experience. One couple ordered duck to share. It was presented then returned to the kitchen for carving. Meantime the 2nd couple's entrees arrived, then cooled for at least 5 minutes waiting for the return of the duck."

  • "We were looking for a special place with character, fine service and exceptional food for our lunch before leaving NYC after a medical visit to Sloan-Kettering. Felidia was just what the doctor ordered. It was so nice to be treated with such gracious service and fabulous food."

  • "Felidia is my favorite restaurant on the upper Eastside. It is warm and friendly, the kitchen is outstaniding and the service attentive without being snooty. At Felidia one eats and drinks well in an atmosphere of that says, Enjoy."
