A word from Felidia
Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a five course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $95 per person.

We have not been back to Frlidia in a good while but also enjoy their other restaurant Becco when we are going to the theater. Felidia is small but charming. The tiny cheese ravioli are outstanding and my bass was very juicy and delicious. The service at Felidia was excellent!

I knew Felidia had a great reputation and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly, attentive and courteous. The ravioli caccio e pere was a delight and the tutto crudo was so fresh from the sea. The Branzino was done to perfection and select wines paired well. The dolce palacinko was a peach surprise. Highly recommended for quality and enjoyment.

The experience at Felidia was absolutely Devine. I was there entertaining foreign business associates and they both said this was the highlight of their trip. We all selected the chefs tasting menu and each course was expertly prepared visually exciting, and exhilarating to the palate. We did not w ant to leave any morsel behind. Alex who took care of us was delightful and knowledgeable. The only thing missing was meeting the master Lydia herself, we were told she was on vacation abroad this week. Felidia will be my restaurant of choice to entertain guests.

There are many supplements to the price fixe menu. A lunch for two at 29.99 each came out to 160 dollars. No variety to pasta dishes you would expect at an Italian restaurant. Not recommended for anyone looking for an Italian lunch (didn't have dinner there). As a person who deals with many wealthy clientele I will not recommend this restaurant.

We hadn't eaten here for some years, but decided to to celebrate an anniversary. Felidia's not what it used to be: Of our tasting menu, only one dish (the "cacio e pere") was really good; the rest were either barely acceptable or simply poor. And there was an unpleasant interchange regarding a martini that was at first over-watery (from melted ice), then barely cool. (And no sign of Lidia, whom I'd been planning to thank for her great cooking shows.)

We had dinner at Felidia's with another couple for a birthday celebration Every course was superb. We had the ravioli appetizer and the ahi tuna appetizer. Main courses were the veal chop, steak, and quail. We shared the Nutella cake and ice cream dessert. Complimentary cookies were brought to the table. Our service was great. Of course we finished off dinner with limoncello. The evening was enjoyed by all four of us.

We were really looking forward to eating at Lydia's restaurant. It was a total disappointment. The salad my wife had was way to big. You could have this salad in any dive restaurant anywhere USA. My pasta with clams was just ok. The clams were good put the pasta was overcooked and I didn't like it. We both had the whole deboned chicken and we both didn't like. We both had a few bites of the breast and the rest was not up to our expectation for a restaurant of this stature. We will not return to this restaurant. We love her cook books and everything else she does.

We had a lovely experience dining at Felidia. Each part of our meal was delicious, and they pay special attention to providing gluten free options for diners with allergies. The fact that they were able to make gluten free pear and pecorino ravioli was such a treat, and it is such a relief to dine at a place that understands and caters to the allergy. I tasted both the regular and the gluten free ravioli and they were indistinguishable. The restaurant is undoubtedly expensive, so it is a special occasion place for sure, but we left very full and pleased.

The food at Felidia was nothing short of amazing. I had a incredibly tender veal and my fiancee had homemade pasta with black truffles. Both were expertly made with noticeable care and attention. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, but not overbearing. I have no complaints and would recommend Felidia for special occasions (the bill was not cheap) and food enthusiasts without hesitation. Felidia is not the place for loud groups or small children.

Fantastic food, great presentation, and their wine list must be one of the best in NYC. However, there is no music in the entire place- its so quiet that the loudest thing you hear is the clang of silverware & the shuffling of waiters feet. You can barely talk to the people you are with for fear of making any noise.. its like eating in a library. We were rushed by our waiters continually (except for the bread guy, he was fantastic & very funny). Their cocktails were very well done. Would recommend for people with lots of money with a great love of wine & who do not like to talk at dinner. Not recommended for special occasions or large groups (unless you get their private room).

I went there with my mother and we had the most delicious and tasty food since in the states. The special "pollo al mattone" was amazing and by thinking about it I can still feel the taste in my mouth. Service was excellent, and differently than the other restaurants in US, no rush when shifting from a meal to another one, which has made the experience very enjoyable. Food is a ritual, afterall. The only tiny negative thing was the illumination of the room, which was a bit too low and made it difficult to see the menu. I strongly recommend Felidia.

The pasta dishes, as always, were delicious, and we were given a third pasta sample courtesy of the Chef. My husband liked his dish, but I ate very little of my Vitello Tonato. It was watery and a very different version than I am used to. You couldn't taste the tuna fish sauce, and it was smothered in salad. Not my favorite. Desserts were good, and the price is reasonable.

I have had 3 good experiences at Felidia before -- perhaps overpriced but very good. This time I was hosting 3 guests. I arrived at 7:29 for a 7:30 reservation. The young man at check-in seemed zoned out as he told me he thought one of my party had arrived and was outside. I told him no one was outside and waited in his presence for 5 minutes, then asked was he sure my party wasn't there. Long story short, I got pushy around 7:45 and eventually learned my party had been waiting 20 minutes seated upstairs. Then our table was in a tiny 3-table area behind the kitchen that was cramped and unpleasant. Then we waited 10 minutes to be offered a drink. The food was OK but the overall experience was quite lousy.

They brought fabulous gluten free crackers with the normal basket of bread at the outset of our lunch (better than the bread even though the bread was good), and gave excellent advice about GF items as options for our daughter. Lovely ambiance too. Highly recommend.
