A word from Felidia
Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a five course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $95 per person.

The restaurant has a warm and welcoming setting. The walls are panelled and a bit masculine, but very comfortable. The fixed price lunch is wonderful and all three courses were excellent. Their "ordinary" dishes turn out to be special. Both the chicken and mushrooms and the salmon were delicious and perfectly prepared. The house made pasta is outstanding and save room for the desserts, especially the baratta cheese cake. All this and friendly service guarantee a trip back for dinner

Lydia's place wow. Ive had bread baskets but this was the ultimate one. The appetitizer was creamy fegatini, smooth chicken liver pate smooth and served with a pickled cabbage salad and cosettini served on rock plate. The first ever for me was eating trippa, calf intestines, too spongy for me but the spicy tomato sauce was none better in a small crock with artinisal polenta amazing. The desert was a Creamlike, soft egg like, ricotta like cheesecake but would have fooled me .The squash ice cream was delightful, light and sweet. The LB in the label white wine, I would say was too sweet for me and over priced 22 for a goblet vs. 32 for the 3 course lunch just not the right balance. See you again LB. This place knows what perfection is.

Booked Felidia in hopes of a fantastic gluten free date night dinner. It did not disappoint the food was excellent. To start off they do give you gluten free bread which was really quite good, it was actually a mix of crackers and bread but it was still good. I had steak and my girlfriend had ravioli and they were both exceptional. We also had a Apple Crisp dessert that was amazing. Service was great a little confusing at first who was our waiter but we finally figured it out and he was exceptionally helpful with suggestion and accommodating of the Gluten Free.

A real disappointment. The food was fine but not as good as I had remembered. Everything was over-salted (and I like salt). The service was perfunctory and slow. We ordered the Chef's tasting menu: An hour an a half after we ordered, we were still on the second course. The timing was just off. We won't be going back. Oh, one last thing for those of you thinking of going...If you have a Saturday night reservation at 9:30. How 'bout leaving your toddler at home. And if you absolutely must bring him along, try to figure out a way to 1) prevent him from throwing his toys under your neighbors tables repeatedly; and 2) keep the iPad volume on the cartoons down. Nobody else there really wants to hear them.

My lunch at Felidia's was fantastic. The pappardelle with duck was delectable. The Branzino was perhaps the freshest and most flavorfully prepared fish ever. The Tiramisu was so creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. The setting is beautiful and service excellent. I want to recommend it to everyone who appreciates the best in dining.

I have had many excellent meals at Felidia over the years, and this dinner confirmed that the restaurant is in fine form. I want to salute the quality of service. The seasoned, professional staff combines grace and competence found at few restaurants. The wine list, featuring a deep collection of classic and little-known denominations from Italy, makes Felidia a destination for any wine buff. The by-the-glass selection is varied and of high quality. As for the food, both starters - two raw fish creations - were subtle and delicious, pairing marvelously with a Vermentino and Verdicchio. The two pasta dishes were imaginative and bursting with flavor - almost too much for a Barolo and Etna Rosso. A wonderful dining experience!

We went to New York City for a special occasion to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. Being big fans of Lidia's Italy, we selected one of her restaurants, Felidia, for this special night. From the moment we arrived until we finished, we felt that we WERE special; that's how they make everyone feel. The food is amazing and delicious, and not typically Italian fare. The fresh-made pasta and dinner entrees were served on piping hot plates, the service was impeccable and all in all it was a marvelous experience!

We knew that we were in for a treat based and were not disappointed. Yes the menu is appetizing and the food well-crafted, but I found the service well above most restaurant experiences. There was wonderful attention paid to our table and each person was kind and avoided being intrusive. The one time the waiter came to our table and caused the conversation to stop, he apologized to the person who was speaking - why don't all waiters do that? This may sound like a minor point but I feel the service elevated the experience above other "top" restaurants and makes me want to return again. I do wish Lidia's meatballs and "Sunday gravy" were on the menu!

We went for a work lunch and they have an excellent $32 prix fixe. It's just cheap enough that I can convince the company to take us, and then order dishes that have supplements without anyone noticing. I'm sneaky that way. Seriously though, very good value for very good italian food in this neighborhood.

Second visit Felidia. Ironically, my wife and I got the same table, upstairs with a great view of the entire room. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was prompt and attentive but never intrusive. My wife began with a butternut squash and bean soup that was seasonal and very tasty. I started with a sea bass carpaccio that was flavored with a spicy, but not hot jalapeño paste. Our entrees were both pastas, a spinach pappardelle with duck for her and a bevete with olive oil and garlic, with Brussels sprouts and shrimp. Both were excellent. In all, we got what we expected, a truly superb dining experience.

Food is always very good here but very expensive. For a $200 (excluding tip) we were at a very small table, in the aisle getting bumped, table against a wall too short for the table, ceiling light in my eyes. We were early for dinner 6 pm so there were plenty of other bigger tables but my husband doesn't like me to complain, so we endured it. Not sure will go back.

The gluten free pasta is fabulous, as well as the rest of the meal. The service was some of the best I've received in NY. Our waiter took such great care of us and brought us complimentary special menu items to try. We were so looking forward to taking an out of town friend to Fleidia for pre theater dinner on a Sunday evening. The meal started off great with friendly waiters and very knowledgeable / polished captain. The wine we ordered was disappointing. When the server heard this he sent over the sommelier and she asked me what I liked. After a brief exchange she brought over a new glass and poured a taste. I said very nice and she poured a bit more. The huge disappointment however was the salmon entree which two of the three of us ordered. Both were so tough a knife was needed to try to cut it. The captain vas very apologetic. When the bill came we were charged $20+ for the wine pour. We were astonished.

This was a special occasion and Felidia delivered. The food was outstanding, as always, and the service was impeccable. Special kudos go to the sommelier, who solicited my input and selected two outstanding examples of the wines I requested, a Falanghina and a Sagrantino de Montefalco. The presence of Lidia herself was an added treat, and when she stopped by our table, she seemed genuinely interested and concerned about our dining experience. A memorable dinner and evening.

Perfect in everyway. Lidia even came to our table and took pictures with my wife an I. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and it could not have been better. Heaven on earth! It was perfection from the food to each and every staff member. OUR only mistake was choosing the Tasting menu without telling them we had 8pm show tickets. It all worked in the end but you should allow 2 1/2 hours to fully enjoy this wonderful menu. We thought that such a hot spot like this would be rushing you through so they could turn the table. NOT the case here! They really want you to pace yourself and enjoy!!!!!
