A word from Felidia
Felidia is located in a converted Brownstone on 58th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. Opened in 1981 by Lidia Bastianich, Felidia offers a warm atmosphere where you can still find Lidia greeting guests and fans.

Executive Chef Fortunato Nicotra has been with Felidia since 1996 and has brought an innovative touch to traditional ingredients and dishes from all the regions of Italy.

Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include pear and fresh pecorino ravioli, veal shank ossobucco and limoncello tiramisu.
Felidia also offers a delicious three course price-fixed lunch, Monday - Friday for $29.50 per person, making the restaurant great for business lunches or just a nice afternoon treat.

For parties of 8 or more, Felidia offers our group dining menu rather than the a la carte menu. The group dining menu is a four course menu and includes our most popular dishes and seasonal favorites for $95.00 per person.

  • "Went for a special occasion and was not disappointed. The food was exceptional and the waiter friendly and conversational. This is the type of experience one remembers for a long time."

  • "The tutto crudo and the tiramisu were among the best starters and desserts I've ever had in my life. The main (seared salmon) was delicious too. For $29.50 for a three-course lunch, this is one of the best value restaurants in the area."

  • "Returned to our favorite NYC restaurant, Felidia, after a few years. Things do really change. Food was not hot or presented as described by server. Staff strained to smile and be pleasant. There was a problem with a gift card. It was glazed over by the staff and we were not able to use it. The wine and bread basket had to carry the evening. Very disappointed. Not our favorite, to say the least, any more. Never to return. We have been going to Felidia since my son was in Prep school and we would meet him in the city. So very sad!!"

  • "But didn't quite meet our very high expectations. Had their signature tasting menu for $70/pp, which brought us some of their most mentioned dishes - octopus, pear ravioli, secondi with two kinds of beef, tiramisu sort of mousse. Everything was very good, just short of great. The service was attentive but quite formal - nobody cracked a smile. Also a weird lapse while we tried to order wine. Wine list is super expensive - very few options that won't break the bank. Dining room felt crowded, though not loud. Definitely heavy on the older patrons. With so many other upscale Italian options, I doubt we'll be back. Too expensive a meal to be not quite there."

  • "Little disappointed this visit. Service was great, but my rabbit was a bit tough."

  • "Three foodies had lunch and all ordered and shared 9 different dishes. First time any of us could recall every dish being either very good or great!"

  • "I had a business meeting and my colleagues were in from California. They asked me to pick a place for our dinner with spouses. The experience could not have been better. I rely on Felidia for professional service, a tasty and creative menu sprinkled with satisfying standards, and a reliable New York experience."

  • "Food and service over the top . Upper level dining room was not a pleasant ambience."

  • "This is one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan. The food is fabulous, the wine list excellent as well as the service. I like the fact that Lidia is often present. This exemplifies her passion and true concern for her restaurant menu and most of all her patrons. I am looking forward to returning, especially for the chicken liver fegatini!!!!"

  • "The food here is very good. Not everything was super fresh - some veggies I could tell were not cooked that day - but it was tasty. They also have gluten free pasta and bread - which is why we came. The waitress though was not knowledgeable about this, so it was tricky and confusing getting what we wanted. She seemed incredibly confused about gluten free and didn't get our order correct. But it was good anyway and we would go back."

  • "At first glance, the restaurant appears beautiful. Despite longtime reservations for my Mom's 70th Birthday and only visit to NY City, we were taken to a closet-type room and shoved in a VERY tight corner with a drape hanging on our table. The restaurant was fairly empty at the time with many open tables. No one asked if this was acceptable, because of course it was not for anyone. My Mom was extremely disappointed! Once I mentioned my displeasure we were moved and the dinner was great."

  • "Took our out of town friends to Felidia and could not have made a better choice. Food was fantastic and so was the service. Cannot wait to return."

  • "The food was very good, I thought a bit overpriced for what it was. Waitstaff was friendly but didn't seem to know all the items on the menu as I would expect and we were left standing at the front door for a very long time with no acknowledgement while another diner was complaining about his seating arrangements - it was getting awkward when they finally acknowledged we were standing there waiting to be seated. Food was very good, felt our pasta dish was just ok. Nice experience overall but I probably wouldn't go back for a very long time."

  • "Celebrated my birthday at this wonderful restaurant. Saw many waiters walking around but had to wait awhile for attention. Tried to order wine but could not find the sommelier. Our waitress was lovely. We asked for a less expensive bottle of wine and she recommended the house wine. It was great!Everything was fine and we enjoyed our meal. Just expected more "one on one" time because of the numerous wait staff. Food was fabulous! I had a private birthday song sung by a very nice waiter. Very classy."

  • "We have been to Felidia numerous times and the food is always out of this world. Service is great! I prefer upstairs seating to downstairs it's more open."

  • "Yummy food here. A spinach pasta with duck and mushrooms and two fish dishes were each delicious. The wait staff was knowledgable and professional without being the least bit stuffy. We got good help with selecting a wine and a request to give us a bit of extra time between courses was honored. Altogether, dining at Felidia was a happy experience."

  • "This was our first time. We had a great table in the corner and could watch the precision of the staff as they prepared food table side. The potter ions were perfect to share so we could have an anti pasta, pasta and main course. The food flavor swerve fantastic and service perfect. Jeff the sommelier helped us with a great Brunello."

  • "Friends recommended Felidia and raved about the food, so we gave it a try. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, the staff was friendly and courteous, and the food superb. We tried four recommended restaurants on our recent trip, but Felidia was the star."

  • "Felidia was a truly wonderful dining experience in every way. I was very impressed at their commitment to the gluten-free community since my daughter is GF and she was my dining companion. Since they are not what one would consider a "health conscious" venue, their 100% commitment was notable and most appreciated! The service was incredible and the food was divine."

  • "After a day of touring the revitalized NYC we had a hard decision to make about a dinner site. My wife has had several get togethers with former colleagues. They all raved about it. As our hotel reservations were at the Warwick, Felidia became the obvious way to satisfy our needs for a Lidia or Mario experience. The food was over the top great, although it took us a cocktail to finally decide our menu and 'specials' choices . It was well worth the process. The appetizers were served in a very reasonable amount of time as were the main courses. That takes some expertise in the kitchen. The service was so refined and oh so comfortable. Our opinions are sincere and are from the heart, the palette and level of comfort."

  • "Felidia was first recommended to me about 20 years ago but somehow I have never come here before, and I am sorry I have missed it all these years. It is homey. Dishes are fresh and inventive, and the staff is very attentive. I happen to love Northern Italian food, so it was perfect for me."

  • "We had the tasting menu and couldn't believe the variety and quality of each course: Shaved raw fish, grilled octopus, pear & pecorino ravioli, shredded duck with spinach pappardelle and a perfectly cooked veal tenderloin. Dessert was a trio of delicious items. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had."

  • "Felidia's prix fixe lunch is a great dining experience and a great value. The food is exquisitely prepared and utterly delicious. My husband took my daughter there for lunch a few weeks ago, and he took me there on Thursday, hoping it would be as good as he remembered. It was even better! The service was very friendly and we were given the same quiet and comfortable table he'd had before. What a great afternoon!"

  • "Our entire experience was absolutely wonderful. Our table was ready when we arrived. Servers we're attentive and courteous. Appetizers and main courses and desserts could not have been better. The recommended wine was excellent and reasonably priced. It could not have been a better dining experience."

  • "From the moment we arrived we felt cared for and appreciated as guests. The menu selections were plentiful and varied and the daily specials just added another layer of delectable choices. The wine menu is superb and the presentation of food quite spectacular. The service was impeccably efficient and friendly. The prices were a value considering the quality of food and overall experience. Felidia has yet to disappoint."

  • "Went to felidia for my birthday and had open table reservations in advance. Was led up stairway to a small auxiliary room with only 4 tables which was partially a mechanical space with exposed ductwork, air conditioner and stained wall fabric. This was NOT an appealing space. The worst part was the room had glass windows allowing a good view of the two other main dinning spaces with numerous empty tables and happy patrons. The service was good but the special ravioli my wife got was not as described at all by the nice Italian maitre d who appeared to have difficulty articulating in English. The food was good, but probably will not return. "

  • "After some time we went to Felidia again. The food was truly exceptional. We always liked Lidija's cooking, but Fortunato Nicotra, the chef at Felidia is preparing truly exceptional dishes. And the pastry chefs are equally as good. Well worth the visit."

  • "The food is simply outstanding -- beef capracio the best I ever had, Branzino incredible. Only disappointment is the wine list, it is grossly overpriced, not a single wine under $100 unless you go w/ the house wines. An establishment like this must have a nice selection in the $50-$85 range. Service was also spotty, a bit slow/unattentive"
