Some of the best food I have ever had, and my mother was over the moon about it. The service was very attentive, and the sommelier was outstanding - brought over each wine, explained where it was from, what she expected us to taste, and why she chose it for the food we had. I had been to Felidia's 2x in the last 5 years, the last being about 3 years ago, and I honestly do not remember the food being THIS outstanding.
Having said that, the space is pretty tight, and if you have a large group next to you, hope they are not loud. Have been to FelidiaPhenomenal! Have been to Felidia a few times now and each experience has been a culinary delight. This time I started with the carpaccio--melt in your mouth filet. Then I had an appetizer portion of one of the signature pastas, cacao et pere. Felidia does an innovative twist on this traditional cheese and pepper pasta by stuffing ravioli with creamy pear! The result is fantastic, a slightly sweet filling perfectly complemented by the pecorino cheese. Finally for my main dish I tried the grilled seafood. Again, phenomenal. An overflowing plate with scallops, shrimp, calamari, lobster, and razor clams, perfectly grilled and tender, and lightly flavored with garlic. The food has always been exceptional, but lunch was one of the best bargains in town. The price is $29.50 for three courses, and despite the supplements on some of the items, you can still find excellent choices for an extremely reasonable price. Lidia was there and visited our table, which is always a nice touch (we had met her in the past). We loved it to much, we are returning Tuesday night with friends from out of town, who will love it!

The 3 course $30.00 prix fix was an amazing bargin. The choices were numerous and they served dinner sized portions. I had the grilled octopus appetizer ($8.00 supplement) grilled salmon entree with the appropriate accruements followed by lovely sorbet. Lydia opened this restaurant in1981. It is classic while being totally up to date and not tired in any way. The food is a natural blend of fine ingredients and the end result is simply fantastic food. The wine list is expansive, covering all categories well, in all price ranges. This is my 5th time to the restaurant. I have done the truffle tasting menu which was one of my most memorable meals ever. My daughter and I participated in a cooking class called Sauce 101 with Fortunato, their head chef.
