A word from Felice 83
[NOTE: We welcome walk-in customers! At this time, we are only accepting reservations for larger parties, but have many small tables open for our walk-in customers.]

FELICE 83 reflects the soul of Italy, inspired by the sophisticated streets of Florence and the rustic warmth of the Tuscan countryside. This cozy NYC newcomer showcases a relaxed ambience, with subdued lighting, exposed brick walls lined with linear shelves filled with wine, as well as rich, tufted leather seats. Italian wines and flavors from Tuscany will now be served in a modern space, infused with traditional elements, on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Felice 83 features classic Italian dishes from the menu of its sister restaurant, Sant Ambroeus, as well as tasting items and small plates, prepared by Chef Simone Parisotto, former Chef at Emporio Armani Cafe in Italy and Monaco and current Chef at Sant Ambroeus in Southampton, NY.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "An excellent spot for a date night or early family dinner. "

  • "The day before our dinner, Felice called to confirm our reservation. We arrived on time and our table was not ready--another party was still eating. We waited over 30 minutes and had to wait outside because the bar area was full. We were a party of 7 which included teenagers, and grandparents over the age of 75. It was a very long wait for a Sunday night and once we were seated the service was very slow. They gave us some free champagne, but it did not make up for the inconvenience, especially since it was Mother's Day."

  • "We had a large group after my daughter's First Communion. The food was wonderful and the brunch menu was expansive enough to please everyone. If you go the rice balls are a must!"

  • "I love felice ! We have been here multiple times for dinner and we recently tried brunch. It was nice for brunch but I'd rather come for dinner, it's a nicer vibe. The ambiance is great, the service is good, it's very cozy and romantic but at the same time a hot spot. Love it!"

  • "Excellent place for a last minute reservation for a group of 7. Food is delicious- modest but reasonable portion sizes, nice wine list. Similiar in feel to their 64th street location but less cramped and perhaps a bit fancier. Took out of towners there and they loved it! Pricing is also reasonable, always an added bonus!"

  • "Felice is a nice addition to the neighborhood. The wait staff is pleasant and the food decent. It has a better than average ambience, and attracts a lively crowd - the main drawback is their loud music - which makes everyone talk louder and the fact, that us American talk unnecessarily louder all the time - so the sound becomes mind-numbing."

  • "This restaurant should not carry a brunch menu. I ordered scrambled eggs and was given something that was practically blackened and completely unseasoned. My friend had an egg white omelet which also totally overcooked. In fact when the waitress came over to see how we were doing, she asked my friend how her panini was. Neither my friend nor myself will be returning to this restaurant."

  • "Atmosphere and lighting are great - fun vibe and nice ambience. My food wasn't great and it seems to have gone downhill since the first Felice opened on 64th street. I went there a few times and the food was always delicious. I was disappointed by the food at 83rd street recently. My crostone with eggplant and burrata was ok but the cheese didn't really taste like burrata. I've had burrata many times and this wasn't it. It wasn't soft and creamy enough. My side of kale was soggy and tasteless and had bits of dirt in it, not washed well. The cappuccino was decent and the olive oil that came with the bread was very good. I would go back to try the pastas, which looked pretty good."

  • "Food was very good and service was excellent! My only complaint is that the lighting is a little to dark for me!"

  • "Being Italian we are always very skeptical about Italian restaurants outside of Italy, but we were very pleased with our experience at Felice 83. Service was good and we really enjoyed the food. Portions were the right size and everything we ordered met our taste. Very happy that we found a place we really like in the neighborhood!!!! We will definitely go back!!!!!"

  • "Service excellent, but we were disappointed with quality of food, and high prices for surprisingly small servings."

  • "So glad they're open for lunch now! Our waitress, Jenny, was an absolute gem! We felt quite pampered."

  • "From the moment you walk in to the 83rd street location and are greeted by the hostest your choice is validated. I've spent several evenings here, and each is better than the last."

  • "Although the restaurant has been open at least one year, we finally made it there to celebrate a birthday. Great ambiance, host and servers are super friendly and accommodating and food was very good. Great neighborhood spot, great people watching if you are at an outdoor table. Will definitely come back!!"

  • "The staff greeted my wife and I with a friendly warm smile. Sitting outside under the canopy with a light rain made this a charming romantic experience! Our server George was attentive and friendly. The fruselli with buratta cheese was to die for...my wife left no doubt about this pasta dish. I loved the Veal Ragu Bolognese. Everything was fresh and melted in your mouth with flavors galore. From start to finish and excellent first time experience!"

  • "What a great dinner for the family! Service was attentive and efficient. The food is outstanding. We had salumi, cheese and burrata for starters. Everything was delicious. Some of us had pasta and was perfectly cooked al dente and savory…Other had Salmon and it was really good! Ice creams, coffees didn’t disappoint us. The house white “Felice” is pretty good. All in all, fantastic quality for the price."

  • "Not good for groups or if you want to socialize. We had a group for dinner, and they litterally asked us to leave so they could set the table for another group. So hyper, and pushy. Our waitress couldn't remember what we ordered and came back several times to ask. The dining room manager was so eager to turn the table over. Worst group experience ever, too bad, because the food was ok."

  • "Felice wine bar is your destination if you want to have a perfect evening. The two managers, Michele and Matt immediately make you feel like a special guest the moment you walk into the door. The waiters and staff are extremely attentive and professional. All of the food came out perfectly timed and every dish was delicious. For appetizers, I recommend the Fritto misto di Calamari e Verdure, which is a fried calamari and vegetable dish that was surprisingly very light and served with a delicious side sauce. The coccoli crescenza e crudo is also a crowd pleaser and a great variation from the traditional meat and cheese plate. As far as entrees, the ravioli, branzino and milanese were all on par."

  • "Very accomodating and great food. Was here for a baby shower/ get together with co-workers. We all are in the restaurant business and I have to say that the main things that really sticks with me would be their service. Fantastic and will come back."

  • "Felice 83 is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Manhattan. Our favorite dishes are the Coccoli as a starter, the tuna tartar and the ravioli are delicious. The branzino is also to die for. The wine list is also very extensive and the managers are very helpful in recommendations. We highly recommend Felice 83."

  • "A very welcome addition to the UES. Good food, though menu is a little bit limited. I love the artichoke salad and the seafood mixed grill. Pastas are great too."

  • "We went to Felice 83 last night and loved it! The servers were very accommodating, and the ambiance was relaxed but trendy. We were a party of 6, so in order to taste as much as we could, we all ordered different plates. The menu features classic Italian dishes that were all on par. The coccoli crescenza e crudo was our favorite appetizer, and the pappardelle with sausage and the spinach ravioli were light and delicious. The pastas are homemade, and you can tell. We also ordered the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The wine list is extensive and unique, with several options by the glass as well. If you are looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with very reasonable prices, Felice 83 will not disappoint!"

  • "Food was average but large variety to choose from. Wait staff was friendly but not especially attentive. We were a group of 7 and everyone was able to find something they wanted to eat."

  • "A great place if you have a group of 6-10, as they have booths to accommodate such groups, and you don't end up sitting in a line of tables pulled together. Comfy booth, tasty food, nice wine list, service was good - something hard to find when you have a group of women for Moms Night Out. Maybe those groups don't tip well, I don't know, but my groups never subscribe to that m-o. However, we often feel cheated a bit when we leave our 20% tip, because servers basically do what they have to, to get by, and no more, when it's a larger group of women. Not so here! We were served graciously and attentively, and never felt like we were imposing some sort of hardship on the server, but that he was happy to have us! Friendly place."

  • "Busy upbeat restaurant with friendly attentive service. It was packed at 6:30 on a Wednesday night--clearly a response to the uniformly excellent food. From the addictive breads, to a fresh well dressed artichoke salad to the pasta salsiccia, every bite was delicious. I am eagerly awaiting my next visit to start working my way down the menu."
